Alright about this messy King business... First and foremost the title was bestowed by a secretive GA committee Suspiciously I know one goat capable of filling all of the rolls mentioned, while casting a singular "yes" vote? How is this Representative of GA as a whole? When these questions were irised, a poll was enacted to be freely decided by the membership if I was or was not the supposed King of Eeeeevil Cliffhangers. Not surprisingly by manipulation of the membership base I ended up with 12 votes saying I was the King. I say manipulation of the membership base because there was a distinct campaign in signatures urging GAites to vote for me as King. Not to decide mind you but to simply vote for me as King. The poll results show as much. They say I'm the King of Eeeeevil Cliffhangers, yet I do not use excessive cliffhangers, and they also say that the end of LiS 26 was not the nastiest cliffhanger they had ever seen. Based on the numbers, GA had clearly spoken. They feared going against this Committee, and its one man propaganda machine. SO they voted in an amiable pattern to his statement. How ever further statements where contradictory. So I must say, given the numbers and lackadaisical turn out... I must, as your King, Nullify the committee's assessment and any ensuing general vote it caused. In doing so I hereby decree that CJ's Title of Queen of Eeeevilest Cliffhangers is ratified, as based on an overwhelming Vote in favor of that title far surpassing any meager votes I received. This ruling is final till any such time as a List of authors is presented to this "Committee" in a public forum. So as all members of GA can be appraised of whom is in the running to be their King. Steve The once, and former King

So last night Viv's GA outreach snagged one more. The other Steve (our very own wildone) is in town doing the vacation thing ,and Viv talked him to meeting a couple of crazy natives. It was cool to meet wildone. Very nice guy, even if I was held up and my promise of arriving at sixish turned into more like sevenish. You see the other Steve had promised to bring cold weather with him. Turns out he knows his stuff, cause go figure No rain in months, and it pretty much rained all damn day. Effectively drowning out our plans at mini-golf. So yeah I arrived late, thanks to rain, and Californians basically panicking ala henny penny. I swear a little water falls from the sky and we freak out. Anyhow, they were huddled under the awning at the ESPN zone in Downtown Disney. We had previously agreed to go to dinner at BJ's (see earlier blogs. It's a pizza / brewhouse pretty good too) and go mini golfing which turned into movie-ing. We piled into Viv's car where, (sorry doll) She was adamant that Jason was not to be trusted, and that she had the directions to the Bj's in Cerritos. You get on the freeway and get off at Griddly, or no wait Studebaker, or no wait Bj's was on Studebaker. Wait no again it was 183rd between Studebaker and Griddly. General destination set, sorta we set off. One free way off ramp and a slight detour (okay two) because you can't make a U-turn later we found ourselves at BJ's. Looking at a one hour and 45 minute wait. It was raining, where in the hell did all these people come from? So sadly We ditched Bj's and the Nutty Brewnette beer that they have which is oh so good. Instead we walked down the way to Olive Garden, old faithful. It was okay, wait wasn't as bad, though it seemed to be Bj's spill over because as soon as we gave our name several other people came in as well. Here's where it got interesting. Totally contrary to the evidence of the paramedics arriving to take a patron away on a gurney, We waited and were eventually sat, thankfully not at the table where the woman they took away in an ambulance was. I just realized the most interesting crap happens when I have Dinner with Viv  She picked on because I opened the menu and looked at. so cruel she is Yes I did order what I usually eat, but that isn't the point! We had yet another scary waitress... or set. The first was sweet, and a little bumbling the second however opened her eyes really wide when she talked. After diner was the movie in Buena Park (we took the other Steve on a tour of Orange County ) Viv suggested Dan in Real life. I objected, she claimed "You... ARE... THE... KILLER... OF a good time!" overly dramatic and completely playing on a line from the movie. She all suggested August Rush, and got her cute Dreamy Lovey face. Testosterone won the day however and we saw Beowulf. Yes. Viv watched a scary movie :twothumbs: It was a good movie, The technology is still lacking in matching the look of skin. I dunno what it is, they try to enhance he look with pores but they end up placing too many and, well still not there and some of the animation is wonky IMHO. Other then that, I found falling into the same trap I always do. I always develop some sense of empathy for the bad characters. Smeagle in LOTR. I've had a soft spot for the character since childhood when I saw an animated version of The hobbit and how Bilbo Baggins stole his precious. WRONG! and now Grendel, just tragic, so childlike and monstrous at the same time. I guess a part of me pleads for their inner humanity. They are after all not void of it. yeah I'm a big softee sometimes, what do you want? The movie was amusing in that it went to great lengths to tease the audience with full frontal male nudity on no less then two characters. The one you really didn't want to see, as well, he was old and, yeah nothing you wanted to see there. Then there was Beowulf who, while being digitized and of questionable skin mapping was... yeah damn candle stick damn sword hilt... damn steam! After the movie Rich went to work, Viv almost missed her turn taking Steve to his Hotel... I screamed in the back seat! and she talks about crazy cabbies... Steve gave us gifts matching Yuks Touques ( ) anyhow its a knit cap what we here call a beanie. That was nice of him. He also said we were good writers Very nice guy, so you guys should say hi to him, and not traumatize him with stories of thunderstorms. I learned that the hard way with LiS. Steve, Thanks for diner, thanks for the Yuk Touque ( ) It was great meeting you, and don't be too afraid of our craziness if you return next year! Steve PS the misspelling I was just testing to see if you guys catch it

Sorry about steering the topic away from its intention. Would I date a bisexual person? As long as they were a person. Would I be fearful that they could at some point change their minds and opt to Straight out? Yes but it wouldnt be a deciding factor in the relationship. WHat happens upstairs in their head is far beyond any means of my input on the situation. Why would I? Well apart from generally detesting labels when it comes to sexuality as a rule. You never know that "Bi" could be everything I have ever looked for, and at the same time I could be everything he has been searching for as well. To not give that at least a chance is fool-hearty on any scale.

agreed menzo. As I said we all judge, but it is up to us to look past those snap judgements, and make something more of the world we have inherited. Yes much of what makes us human is learned, or more so that we have the ability to learn. My only concern is that we consistantly focus on reasons to hate. Does hate make us a better people? No it only brings further problems to our doorstep. Furthermore as a subset "out group" who is the focus of hate already; why do we take it upon ourselves to further the status quo? Simple answer is it is what we have learned to do. All I am saying is, unlearn.

I believe many of the people in this thread let alone all of GA are inteligent, therefore seeing some of the responses to this question are dishartening to say the least. Yes we all make Judgements. The fact that we do is NOT inherant to human nature. It is a learned skill. You doubt this; look at a group of infants crawling around. Will they by virtue of nature alone segragate out into individual groups based on skin color and sex, only to further subdivide by other judgable qualities? No, they interact freely with no pre-concieved notion of superior, or inferior groups. Notions of In groups and Out groups are force fed to us by society. Want more evidence look only to people who smoke, they are not hard to find they are the people ostricised and huddling together in the cold away from everyone else. So yes we all judge, but as the enlightened individuals we all believe ourselves to be, it is up to us to recognize what we are doing and think differently. Failure to do so only perpetuates the intolerence and stupidity we all claim to hate. And the notion of Judge not; least ye be judged. Takes into account that people by learned trait judge, but it encourages them not to judge by reminding them that they too have their own faults. Judge and prepare to be judged only give every whacko nutjob out there free reign to stand up behind a pulpit or podium and spew whatever venom they see fit. So long as their tresspasses are less then the ones they rally against. Lastly, what is the defining characteristic of a physco axe murder? I'm sure by the time you have found that out you're already neck deep in the relationship. Same rings true for someones true feelings on anything. You wont know till you have commited. Steve

it was arranged I tell you...

Again I find myself envious of your travels goat! I would love to see Tuscany someday, and Im glad you got the chance too. All this world traveling and I only ended up in San Francisco. Not much happened there, Met a slew of GAites, plotted the downfall of a certain caprian faction... you know just another day

wait; How did we go from Joe stripping to Rich stripping? AND, I just don't see it. He'd reach for his belt buckle then turn all red.

at least you didn't quote xanadu speaking of I think that would be an excellent song for the coronation

Wouldn't matter what so ever. A cheater is still a cheater... Look at it this way: If you caught your significant other buggering a goat would it really matter what sex the goat was? I doubt it, of course it would matter if it was your goat I guess... but other than that... and I just made you all think about CJ didnt I?

Only if I'm getting paid Now you say something!

now that is just wrong! Trust me some of them are down right bonkers, but thats a long story best saved for a twelve pack... and then some. See I'd just call it deprogramming and break out a twsiter mat I'm going to go with the obvious answer and say no. Hang in there Joe; you'll find someone. I'd say when you stop looking but that hasn't worked over here just yet, so I'll keep that advice to myself. Okay now I have to run off and post something about only when I get paid.... Steve

***WARNING*** useless b*tching below ***WARNING*** Why is it that some people just have to be pig-headed and obstinant just for the sake of being pig-headed and obstinant? Furthermore, why are these people related to me? So quick run down. I wasn't at work yesterday (Thank God for Sundays!) Anyhow there was a bit of a mishap where a custermer paid for $20 of product. recieved it, then through some sort of error or system screw-up proceded to get $31 more product. the custermer then claimed she didnt have any more money and she was not going to pay for the $31 of product she recieved. YAY right? Anyhow the deal is simple if you recived it you pay for it. If not we can call the cops and they'll sort the mess out. Usualy this involves telling the custermer that they have to pay for stuff and if they don't its called theft. Iterestingly enough the lady who claimed not to have any more money (honestly how many people get into a vehicle and do not have some sort of payment in case of emergencies?) Qucikly enough found $40 that she didn't have before. Great problem solved, except she took the opertunity to claim it was racialy motivated, and began cursing up a blue streak. Sad really. So my sister was talking about this today, saying if she was the lady who went all ghetto. She would have said, "Your Cashier screwed up not me..." I stopped her right there and explained the details of the situation. She didn't like the fact that I was enlightening her to all of the details that she was talking about. So she got all upity and wanted to argue with me about it saying that I didn't know what I was talking about. I came into the middle of a conversation and had to through my view in. let's nevermind the fact that I was standing there the entire time she was talking about it. So she wouldnt listen and is convinced she has the right idea. Sad really. What's worse is I rarely get to meet this side of her, usualy shes more rational with me, and at least humors reason. I guess she didn't want to today... so, um yeah i dunno. In other news I have like 16 1/2 hours of mandatory writing lab hours to make up in the next 3 weeks, who thinks I can do it? Why all english classes at my college require 18 hours of writing lab time is beyond me but they do. I guess I could go in and pretend to be working on english and futz with project cody. or maybe even the overdue fall anthology which would go well for the winter anthology. I dunno well till later I guess Steve

Is CJames The Queen Of The Evilest Clifhangers
shadowgod replied to wildone's topic in C James Fan Club's Topics
CJ my dear goat... they have taken into account my supposed title for life and thus dubbed you Queen see they were thoughtful weren't they? Defending your assertions that I am the king and all. I won't even mention that you got way more votes as Queen then I did as king so I think the electoriate has spoken their peace. -
Yeah, somehow I think most emplyee's would rather be ignored. I know I would. plus whats with the literal interpretation of the term terminated?

That is interesting. Though Im going to go out on a limb and say it was from a second rate manufacturer after VHS had dominated the market, and only then, because they thought they could capture a niche by offering a combo player. As it stands now that will not be happening. Opposing manufacturers and Studios support the different formats. How many Divx players do you see in stores today? nadda Oh and one last parting note: HDDVD is Microsoft
-
never will they are compeating formats just like in the days of VHS/Betamax, and DVD/DiVX.

Hahahahaha! I live there, too and you know, I think that learning that saying should be a part of the driver's test out here, don't you?! And umm, Joey, my favorite little cowboy... if I have to come over there to get you to be SAFE (you know cause I love you and if you end up hurt I'll be VERY sad and worried) I will... (remember the tie/pocket/change incident??) That is all Stripper??
-
I hereby declare that supposed "cliffhanger" null and void.... Honestly none of us wondered what so ever Honestly CJ you keep throwing that term about and it will cease to be important, Thus diluting your throne... Steve PS welcome back goat, I've missed you
