  2. I get carded all the time, well not for movies but I was only carded for a movie once when I was 18. It's pretty funny acctually if I go to the bar with my younger sister when she orders the dont ask for her ID the moment I order they want proof of age. Yes I laugh at her for this, because I am kinda evil like that. Besides, its my job to rib her when its due. She certinly pays me back in kind. Steve

San Francisco. Where to begin? I could do the whole play by play rundown of events according to Steve, but instead I'm going to hop to the parts that ment something to me. This brings us to the end. Oh don't get me wrong the whole weekend was a blast, even if Castro turned out to be less then impressive. It's been a long time since I have laughed so much, and felt so comfortable in the company that surrounded me. Anyhow, the thing I probably enjoyed the most during the weekend was the walk Joe, Snowdog, and I took Sunday night. Up Brodway, through some nice houses, down a switchback pathway. The three of us meandered through residential streets and down to the bay, talking about nothing in particular other then what PG&E stood for. (Pacific Gas & Electric for those of you who are now wondering) The walk was enjoyable, even though we pretty much walked all weekend(in the sun, not in the shade), and the flip of a coin determined or next direction in a strange city. Ever notice how taking a walk clears your mind? Pushes away everything but your destination, and the steady rythm of a distant foghorn. A destination that drew all too much clearer as the three of us made a left from beach onto polk. A destination that would take us away, back to where we belonged, and away from the home we found in San Francisco for three days. Thanks to Dan and Trebs for setting it up, Thanks to snow for allowing me to crash on the bed next to his, thanks to Viv for telling me I had to go. To Jeff who on friday told me to get my ass out of the chair he wanted a proper hug. And, thanks Joe for the seriously ( ) great adventure you lead me on through the streets of incomparable San Francisco. Till, the next AMAZINGLY stunning adventure, I'll be smileing with the memories of the last. Steve

  19. Does this mean CJ is the new :king: King of Evil Cliffhangers :king: ???
  20. Agreed, for the most part. I usualy disregard articles that are... However you want to describe them, fluff?? maybe? Anything retelling David vs Goliath would probably fit that bill. I can't recall reading anything that glamourized coming out. Most often in the articles I read The author talked about the bigotry and social isolation some of the kids faced, and still do. Like James said, we've come a long way, and still have miles to go. Also as he and Graeme mentioned, another persons story should be viewed with a healthy measure of reservation. Some places are by far more tolerant then others and Teens who may be impressed by such stories should be more aware of their surrondings and community before hand. So, thats what, meeting you 3/4 of the way? Thanks for the post though, it's been awhile since Ive had a chance to excercise that muscle in this forum! Steve
  21. What troubles are glamourous? Articles discussing if hair swirl or the way a person walks aside. There have been a few articles that I've read that give me hope. Specifically one about openly gay Highschool and College atheletes. We've all read articles of horrid things. We know about Matthew Shepard, We've seen the signs being held aloft by 9 year olds shouting God hates Fags. Whats wrong with a little positive re-enforcement in a sea of hate? This is life theres good and then there is the ugly. And a group of christians picketing soldiers funerals with said signs is plain out ugly and nothing more that an attempt to get them mass coverage on 24hr news channels. So if the want to temper that messege with one of Gay teenagers being normal I'm all for it. What I don't want to see is another "does this cause homosexuality" Ive had my fill of those. Steve
