I'm sure it will. This sort of thing happens from time to time.

This is getting exciting! I'm wondering if it's not time to alert the MOD, given their interest in the airbase, even though Jexon has bought it from them.
-
There's obviously something about this airbase. I suspect the European tourists weren't as innocent as they seemed at the time. Of course, that's for Quokka to know, and us to find out! 😁 I'm really enjoying this story, by the way. I've been reading a number of stories set in Australia recently, it sounds like a great place.

We lived in Buffalo when I was a kid, and would go over to the Canadian side of the Falls practically every day during the summer. The Horseshoe Falls were the most dramatic view. Back then, passports were unnecessary. It was twenty minutes over the Peace Bridge from our house in Buffalo to a lovely park in Niagara Falls, Ontario, where there was a floral clock that used to fascinate me; I hope it's still there. I still remember the view from the top of the Seagram's Building. There used to be a tour that took you back behind a part of the Falls; I don't know if they still do that. And riding the Maid of the Mist was a lot of fun. I always love to see guys being close with their dads. I envy Rich, even though he's fictional!

I don't know if we really need Finn to bring the boys together, though I'm sure he'd be glad to help. There are plenty of other possibilities: One of them could fall during a training session, be trampled by the spooked horse, and need the other to nurse him back to health. They could fall into a sinkhole and have to huddle together for warmth while waiting for rescue. Rory's old boyfriend could show up and make Cam really jealous (but not too jealous, or he'd simply fly back to America). They could both grow a brain and actually talk together. 😁 Well, not that last one, obviously; but you get what I'm saying. The joy is in the journey.

Psychopaths can be charming when they want to be. She wouldn't be the first victim to be taken in like that. They don't show their true colors till they're sure they've got you.
-
Did you notice that his last name is Sharp? He also seems pretty focused on his work. I don't want to sound negative, but I hope Cam's work doesn't get in the way of his getting to know Rory and Finn. Guess we'll just have to see how things develop, huh? 🤣 (If this were a well-known Disney movie, Cam could be singing, "Some day, my prints will come . . ." 🎵 )

This really is a great story. The three young men are such sweet guys.
-
Oh, thank you! You're a sweetheart! I am really loving this story. ❤️

My uncle and my grandmother had me figured out by about age five; or so my uncle told me, many years later. Most of my gay friends knew their orientation at similar early ages. But the oldest was a guy who was 26 when he finally put it all together, with the help of a therapist.

No more chapters!!?? I hate catching up with a story and then having to wait. What's going to happen next? I want to see the boys publicly become a couple, I can't wait to see how Gramps handles the meeting with his supplier, and I want to kibitz on Nick's date. I also want Brandon and Jimmy to be able to enjoy their father's reaction to the news about Jimmy and Richie. I hope that's not asking too much . . . 😊

We The Episcopal Church covers a wide spectrum of worship styles, and if you were to wander into a high-church service you might think it was Roman Catholic. Historically we have seen ourselves as being between Catholicism and Protestantism; the classic term is via media, the "middle way." The Episcopal Church is pretty welcoming to gay people, especially now that a lot of the worst homophobes have left. The world-wide Anglican communion is not so tolerant everywhere, I have to admit, but I believe that the issue will work itself out over time. Anglicans tend to be able to see all sides of an issue, and they are pretty open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Whoever you are, you can pretty much count on finding a welcome in an Anglican parish. I feel much more at home in the Episcopal Church than I ever did as a Baptist, let me tell you!

Wow! I'm glad Jenny is safe, and I hope Victor goes away for a very long time. But I don't like this talk about their moving out. . . .
-
I find it strange, as well, since I became aware that I was attracted to men at age four. Even at that age, I knew it wasn't something to tell anyone about! Things were only just starting to improve by the time I entered college. But hey, if everyone knew themselves well and had no qualms about revealing themselves, half the stories on this site could never have been written, lol! Despite the foregoing, I really like this story. Jamie is a great kid, and I look forward to seeing what happens as the story progresses.

Wow! I've been too busy reading to comment on earlier chapters. I love Aidan and Rick, they are really great guys. I'm glad they worked things out so far. Though with Aidan's temper, Rick's probably going to have his hands full. I guess everyone around feels the brunt of it from time to time. I'm really glad Rick manged to get the Rosses talking, finally. That reconciliation scene was really something. Now let's hope that Rick and Aidan can protect Jenny and heal the Mahoney family as well. Now to go make sure I follow this story before I forget. . . !

Oh, my goodness, I never saw that coming! Suicide is almost never the answer, but the temptation can sure be strong. Its effect on those left behind is horrible, however. I can't help joining in the plea for a sequel, even at this late date. Cy is an engaging character. Thank you for this story.

Oh, it's pretty obvious that they're both closet cases. Like son, like father, in the Huntsmans' case. And up till now, of course. 🤣 Sid is the logical person to get into Tom's pants, though, since those tough guys can do a surprising imitation of a marshmallow, once you get through the crusty exterior, and Sid is good at getting to the essence of a situation.

What a sweet story! I share the hope that Cam and Rory will be getting together. How could they not, in a story as sweet as this? I like the contrast between the old ways and the new, with neither side sneering at the other. I'm a city boy at heart, but I've always relished visits to my farm cousins. I might not want to live that way myself, but I can see what they enjoy about it. It's good that Cam can see the value of Rory's and Finn's passion for their way of life.

I'm glad for the general rejoicing, but I'm not convinced. Even though they both still have feelings for each other, it's not clear to me that they really belong together. Hank has revealed himself to be a rather nasty guy, and I think Chase is being naive to be so ready to trust him again. For example, as the story progressed, I had the distinct impression that Hank and Kevin had had sex quite a few times; I find it hard to believe Hank's assertion that they only did it once. I suspect that Chase and Hank are going to get into trouble down the road, because they are rushing so quickly. Not to say that they can't have a really solid relationship going forward, but this quick, pat ending, while it feels good, is shirking the work that needs to be done. Of course, I'm a cynical old man, and these are young kids in their early twenties, so it's only natural that they're rushing forward. 😁 It would certainly be fascinating to be a fly on the wall at Chase's next session with Dr. Chorney.😚

Chapter 18 Rhythm and Blues
BigBen commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 18 Rhythm and Blues
In the late nineteen-seventies, when I was a college student, there was a notion among gay liberationists that gay men had a moral duty to engage in promiscuous sex to fight the patriarchy. Personally, I consider that a questionable line of thinking, but I believe it still persists to some extent, for whatever reasons. -

I suspect he's not going to go quietly; the man lives to play hockey. But he can't last all that much longer, he's 42, for Heaven's sake! Life-long Leafs fan, eh? Well, at least it ought to be some comfort that the season would already have been over for them anyway, by now, so you're not missing much. -

You're a Leafs fan? That explains so much! I will refrain from further comment, lol! Yeah, Chara is 6'9" tall; he makes six-footers look like children next to him. But I have to root for Boston, sorry, because for New Englanders, Boston is the center of the universe. (I'd root for Hartford, if they had a hockey team. Bridgeport has an AHL team, but it's affiliated with the Rangers, so that's not happening!) -

(sigh) I was hoping to see how the Bruins were going to do in the playoffs. I just got into hockey fairly recently. I used to be quite disdainful of major league sports, but I became intrigued with a Web comic about a gay college hockey player and find that I really enjoy the games. (Don't tell anyone, but I think I'm in love with Zdeno Chara.) -

Canadians may be polite, but they are also tough. The author Robert Heinlein said of the RCMP, "the usual ratio is one Mountie to one riot." And remember what the national sport of Canada is!
