It's good Nolans' friends are already worried about him, shows they care. I think they will eventually find out what's going on. Together they should be able to sort Paul out. Hopefully they can sort Nolan out as well. I think he may be confused about his feelings for Tracey. He may be "nicer", but he's still taking advantage and still making Nolan a victim. Even worse, by avoiding having to pay Paul, he's just making Nolan a cheap/free whore. The next one Paul pimps him out to probably won't be "nice".

Nolan couldn't have picked a better set of friends. It was his good fortune he met Henry that day at the pool. The other guys may have at first just been curious about him because of Henry's interest, but as each got to speak with and get to know him, they quickly accepted them into their group. Tobi of course is going to take a bit of work. It will no doubt shock Nolan when he learns whats behind the aggro. Be interesting to get some of Connors' story also. I hope Nolan having his new groove as the kid who talked to Connor is a good thing and not a flag for school bullies. Good chapter.

ok now I get Tobi's hostility toward Nolan. The different POV was interesting. If I can make one criticism though, the dialogue was a perfect repetiton of Nolans' which would be unlikely normally. I mean who remembers conversations word perfectly? Other than that, I enjoyed the different viewpoint and getting to know more about Henry and his friends. be interesting to see how Henry tackles the love triangle predicament. He has a really good set of supportive friends, they will all be good for Nolan.

I think Robert Rex hit the nail on the head. Starved of any proper affection Nolan seems to tolerate and almost enjoy this treatment. Hopefully when he finds the real thing he will realize there's much more to it than just being used. Hope he finds the strength soon to end this abuse. I'm really glad that he reached out to Connor, probably recognising some of himself there. I'm a little surprised Henry with his outgoing good naturedness hadn't done so beforehand. Tobi being the former new kid seemed almost hostile. Knowing how it feels to be new in a school his reactions are also surprising. Something about this story has me hooked, good job.

Awww that was so cute and the coaches encouragement was good too. Nolan probably doesn't get a lot of positive feedback especially from adults. It was very brave of him to face his fears and trust Henry in the water' Hopefully this will give him confidence to face his fears at home eventually. That small interlude of happiness almost made me forget what a nightmare life he leads behind closed doors. I really feel for this character, good job.

I'm right behind you. He's a nasty piece of work. Don't want to get ahead of myself but hoping Henry's enthusiasm means he has more than just friendship in mind. Hopefully Nolan can find someone trustwothy enough to tell his problems to.

Poor Nolan. I too hope he can find a way to deal to his brother. I'm already liking Henry and hoping he will make a good friend for Nolan.

That brought a tear to the eye. That was a fitting send off for Grandpa Nickolas.

So much sadness in this chapter. I hope Wyatt will find some comfort in Grandpas' letter. I'm worried also about his "relationship" with Talon. His mom and dad maybe ok with his sexuality but it will be difficult for them to accept this' Gay or straight, blood or adopted, incest is still a taboo that most frown upon.Personally, I don't pass judgement, not my place. Enough people judge me for who I chose to love being gay and all, I'm not about to become like them.

Poor grandpa, Wyatt is obviously taking it very hard. He developed a close bond with grandpa Nickolas' He will need to be strong for both himself and hid grandpa and hopefully will let his family and friends in so he doesn't have to suffer his sadness alone.

Glad Wyatts' family is so supportive. "You never know how lucky you are until you find out how unlucky some people are." Neat thought, like it.

Awkward. Hopefully it will be better than the aunts house where Owen was just being taken advantage of. I get Wyatts hostility toward them. But I understand at 15 they really had no way of properly raising a child, they were just kids themselves. And they still kept an eye out visiting at the orphanage, just not revealing who they were. They seem to be ok people, just a bit of a shame they never eventually took Wyatt in yet are now looking after one of his friends. In that situation I would feel like I'd been traded in.

Well that was....weird. Wyatt spent a great deal of time initially trying to feel accepted in this family. To casually remark he and Talon are not biological brothers is kind of shitty, especailly after Talon always made him feel like a real brother. I guess if he wants to have sex with the guy this little bit of self denial will make it feel less like incest. Thinking with the wrong head.

I couldn't really think of a more awkward situation. Approaching Wyatts birth parents was a dumb plan and I'm glad Owen didn't go for it. By the looks of things Bran and Vivian weren't too keen on the idea either. And it's not like Owen didn't have other family to go to, trying to get him taken in just to keep him at their school, ugh typical teenagers not really thinking things through. Meagan in particular just bulldozing over Wyatts feelings...insensitive much.

Hey, sorry I haven't bothered to comment sooner. It actuallu took me a while to warm to this story. I'm one of those people who once I start reading something I'll try and finish it even if I don't particularly enjoy it. Only if I absolutely hate something will I quit reading. I've slowly stumbled my way through chapter after chapter before coming to the realization that I don't actually mind this story. I can't say it's great but it's definitely ok. I'll continue reading and see how it goes. I feel bad for Owen. But he wasn't in a very good situation and bad things could have happened. I think it's much better that he's away from that drug environment. His father deserves to be in jail for dealing with that rubbish but more importantly for exposing his son to it. And to think he had a good job working with Kenneth so shouldn't have needed to be invloved with drugs. Hopefully things will work out much better for Owen. Also hope Wyatt gets the chance to talk to Alex and help him overcome his feelings of rejection and abandonment.

Devan is proving himself more capable than anyone probably thought, he was afterall supposed to be the one with the brains. Unable to take on Yago alone, I think he has been building up and patiently praying for this moment when he would be able to help bring the viper down and exact some revenge for his murdered family. I think too that with the chances of Kade now being safe and having a better future, he will look forward to being able to meet with Kade as father and son once more. Hope Marion takes steps to deal with Jezebel. I wonder why she feels the needs to build an army and have this powerful new weapon if there is to be peace throughout the continent. Carl is torn over the suspected betrayal of his best friends father. Since the Hallowed Order probably wants to see Alex create a new world, I can only guess Chamberlin is in league with Yago and getting orders from there. Speaking of, after everything he's done and is doing I'm surprised Ysabel still feels that her blood ties to him would give her any special consideration. I sense there will be a huge showdown between these two, a classic matchup, deviant arch villain vs pissed off mother. Thanks for the new chapter, now I wait with keen anticipation for more.

I think Rainbow's comments said it all. I'm worried for the Tomacian king and queen. They wouldn't have sanctioned this.For Chamberlin to have made such a bold move suggests he may have done something to them. Adrian and Kade seem to be getting along quite nicely. Are we going to let the Jwitch off the hook again after the gunpowder plot?

I'm actually surprised Alex agreed to the trial. And given that he's given consent to try and execute the Nabians for committing crimes in Monciet, he's pretty much set himself up for a possible death sentence. Marion has come away from that meeting with a great deal and all Alex gets is a promise that he no longer needs to worry about fighting them while he's engaged in leading the rebellion. Oh and while we're at it, whilst listing Jezefreaks crimes lets not forget murdering Mikhail. They obviously haven't gotten that bad news yet because despite knowing they sent their friend into the lair of that psycho witch they haven't bothered keeping tabs on him. ( yes sorry still sulking over that ). Irony of ironies the powder he helped make was going to be used to kill you all. Maybe now something might be done. Take out the daughter and her traitor father as well.

Sorry but you're getting an angry face because you let that bitch kill Mikhail. Since she's a general in her own home I'm guessing she can get away with it. So Talia has to escape if only to get to shank that #@$%&((&*# Making Alex stand trial after the war? Hope you can handle dissappointment Marion, you're not going to get everything you want so get over yourself. Maybe Talia should have brought out her demon so she might have had a better chance of killing her molestering uncle, so looking forward to his death as well. Damn, this was actually a really good chapter if only because you managed to get me so wound up. Now put your demon away and don't kill anymore of the good guys.🙏

ok new favorite, This was even better than the last chapter. Loved the first meeting with Kade. Kade stealing Adrians' purse was so funny.I think Adrian was impressed with his humble and respectful manner and hopefully will have a quiet little chuckle at his cheeky light fingers. I wonder how Devan will react, he will not only be aware of their presence in his territory but will also likely know they have visited the cobblers shop. Their visit may also attract the interests of any spies in the area which may put Kade in jeopardy. Jareds' "diplomatic" letter could probably have done without the ultimatum, that sort of thing could have been left for the actual face to face meeting. Also I would hope that Alex doesn't take Luca and Eamon, all the key people together at the meeting place wouldn't be good if anything were to go wrong.Besides, unbeknown to anyone they are needed at the manse.Carl definitely needs to be there so he can act as the voice of reason for their side while I imagine Jared playing a similar role for the other party. Wow, this story was always good but it's just getting so much better.Great job.

I had to laugh at Marions' response at the end, it at least leaves us with some hope. This comment made me think and I have to wonder the same. War often brings out the worst in people and sometimes we have to expect that is just the nature of the beast. Those who have suffered personally are really the only ones who can offer forgiveness. Alex returning Monciet to it's rightful rulers may go some way toward atoning for his past actions but aside from a heartfelt apology there's nothing more he can do to bring back Marions' family. Those two things would be a huge step which could be seen by others as weakness. So for any such thing to happen would hold great meaning. I am so happy, like really really happy to see Eamon and Luca together. It was meant to be, but you had us on edge for a while, nice one. For that alone this is now my favorite chapter. I look forward to seeing you top this one. Good job !

As difficult as Talias' situation is it may give her a unique opportunity to gain some valuable intelligence. I'd like to hope Carl was thinking of Kade but I don't know whether or not he is aware of his existence. Someone with a humble upbringing? Haddeaux. I was going to go off about him being a despicable traitor, but then he was dismissed and banished after his outburst so he doesn't really owe Alex any further allegiance. Knowing the secrets of the Di Coteau manse makes him dangerous. His undoing could be his arrogant disregard for Lucas' leadership abilities. Let's hope Luca can re-educate him. A humiliating failure would make him very unwelcome back at Yagos' manse.

I was none too happy about Mikhail going to Jezebels' in the first place, but I guess it was necessary to the war effort to help her get her mine and forges up and running efficiently. Now I have to hope he doesn't fall into Yagos' hands although it would be good for the plot of the story. Maybe he and Talia will team up and escape together. Don't know why but Marions' little epiphany having read Jareds' letter has got me feeling really positive. Could this be the beginnings of a possible thawing and perhaps later even eventual peace. If so, only good things could come of this for all. Really enjoyed this chapter.
