Takes a great deal of trust for him to let Mario return to the world but anything to help Bridge is worth it. Getting him to talk to Bridge first was a clever incentive to ensure he returned, Chancey as a back up also, but I'm pretty sure he'll come back. Looks like there may also be two new arrivals as Radu plans more hunting.

Loved the way Bridge was able to quickly worm his way into Stars' heart, he has that effect on practically everyone. His name aptly decribes his role as he effortlessly bridges the gap between the various personalities. And what a deal. My cynical side finds it hard to believe that after going through all this effort Radu would be willing to release Star after a year if that's what he chose. Still, he does not and has not lied yet, so there's an opportunity. I have a feeling that Bridge in particular and maybe Sacha will bring them all together. This chapter gives the first hint of what the monster looks like. Totally not what I was picturing. When I imagined 'old' vampire, 18 year old kid not what I had in mind. Knocked me for six with that one and it's ruining my monster image

So many different sides to Radu, I found it difficult in this chapter to relate this Radu to the monster. I'm still hoping at dinner Aqua stabs him with a sharp knife though, I know he'd probably actually get off on that.

I like TheLotus description, " erotic horror", sums it up nicely. I'm so fascinated by it all I can't actually stop myself from reading, it's such a captivating tale and has for me, one of the most despicable characters I've ever come across. It will be a very interesting challenge to see if by the end of this I actually have a major turnaround and end up liking this creep. Right now I really want for it just to die horribly. Of all the villains I've encountered from different stories, not sure if I've felt that strongly before. Well done to you

It was not easy to read poor Bridges' story. So much pain and suffering all of which was instigated by his own father. It was especially painful hearing how much he wanted for it all to just be over, but was always dissappointed to find himself waking to suffer through another day. I can at least be thankful that Radu has saved him from that, albeit for his own selfish reasons. That he was angered at the way Bridge was used and abused is just hypocritical, considering he's done much worse himself, and even now continues to use these boys. All of them are glorified sex slaves in a gilded cage damaged to the point of craving any kind of attention from their master. Aqua remains the only one with any spirit left to see him for what he really is. It would be real fun for me if Aqua tried to kill him. Won't happen I know but would be so satisfying.

I wonder how many would be more like Aqua and display genuine disdain for Radu if they weren't so spellbound by his enthralment. Even without his gifts he still manages to prey on their vulnerabilities. He's fooling himself if he believes that any of his victims truly love him, such a deluded monster. So much work is going to be needed to heal all these boys if they were ever able to escape his evil clutches.

Dress up the rooms as much as you like but no amount of scrubbing will cleanse the crimes that were committed in them. The blood of too many innocents cries out for justice. Not enough to simply change, without proper amends good intentions are just hollow window dressings. Every spark of fear and look of uncertainty remain constant reminders of the underlying evil.

Aww why couldn't Radu have been like this from the start. My perception of him will always be tainted by the knowledge of what he used to be like. Also knowing he could easily revert back to that beast if something sets him off. As for the wonderful life he offers the slaves in his harem.." For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul..."

Seems the only one with any true feelings is Aqua. The rest can't really be trusted as there's on way of knowing if their feelings were genuine or because they were under the influence of Radu. Despite the nice guy image Radu is still a monster ready to end them all without a care if the fancy came upon him.

Just can't bring myself to like Radu atm. The way he toys with them is sad. Astaria has asked that he change his ways so I shudder to think how much worse he used to be. The fear and dread of the bath gives ample clues. Whatever punishment he is currently serving is probably well deserved and I hope he is suffering more than what he is forcing others to endure. If ever a stone cold heart was worthy of a stake being plunged into it.

There's a real strength to the boy that has the vamp more than a little curious. I really hope in this case he has bitten off more than he can chew. Red in the eyes...could that mean what I think it does? Chancey should be more careful, his long years of service have made him a bit complacent and if he continues to try the vamps patience he may outlive his usefulness.

Intriguing start, more than enough to spark my interest. I can understand the vampires arrogance and pomposity, afterall, they are superior to us mere mortals in so many ways. The only thing lacking is a moral compass to tone down the abuse of their powers. When you're at the top of the food chain, you get to make your own rules.

Absolutely loved it and looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Thanks for sharing.

Haha having been outed Nick is getting more action with three boys suddenly wanting him, go figure. Sure Matt is sweet and all but I do think it's a little underhanded going behind a friends back and trying to steal his boyfriend.

I'm a little dissappointed in Dave but I can definitely understand where he's coming from. Takes a lot of courage to come out at school, I couldn't. And to try to defy his parents who clothe, house and feed him ? Unfortunately for now he's pretty much at their mercy and can only continue his relationship in secret. Alan was a huge surprise, nicely done. This was a really good chapter.

Enjoying the story. Don't mind the drama, I've read some much darker stuff and a lot of warm fuzzy stuff too. Got me some big boy pants for when I decide to tackle this kind of genre. Good story, good characters and good easy to follow writing style. Well done. Oh, love the music clips too, adds an extra something to the feel of the story.

Thoroughly enjoyed the ongoing saga of the Di Coteau family and the land of Nabius. Full of action, political intrigue, mystery, passion, treachery, and against all the odds even love. With a brilliant cast of characters lead by our heroes Alex and Carl, and all the rest of our favorites, including the villainous Jezebel, we are easily drawn into the loves, lives and losses of friend and foe alike. In this second book VVesley has woven a tale that has kept me enthralled throughout. His plot and writing style make this a story well worth the read and one I'm thrilled to highly recommend.

Poor Adrian, I almost feel as though he's going to be let down a second time. Kade doesn't seem to have his heart invested in their relationship. He's looking at it through Nabian eyes to see what advantage can be gained and having now met his father, it seems to have strengthened his resolve to make something of it. I had hoped there'd be some kind of spark and love would somehow blpsspm. Maybe if he met and spoke with his cousin he might come to appreciate the change that Alex is trying to bring about to Nabian culture and attitude. I wish Talia, and everyone else for that matter, would stop underestimating Yago. He is a dangerous and formidable adversary and will not go down easily. I could feel Talias' pain and heartbeak over Mikhails' death. I hope she can gain strength from that and avenge him. I hate the thought of it but I think that the only way she has any hope of defeating Yago would be by accessing her own inner demon, sacrificing her soul to beat the devil. Thanks VVesley for another great chapter in this enthralling saga.

With any luck word will pass through the sisterhood about Jezebels' treachery and they will be able to better track her movements. Once they guess her destination they can prepare a little surprise for her. At the same time their heightened alertness will hopefully better prepare them for Hadeauxs arrival. Still curious who ordered the tomacian raid and what their objective was. I'm hoping it wasn't a trap to lure Alex and Carl or perhaps even distract them while a major offensive is launched elsewhere. Thanks for the new chapter, without any clear answers we are perched eagerly on the edge of our seats.

Really enjoying this tale. Most everyone else has highlighted the fun interaction between the characters and I agree. I read a lot of tear jerkers so being able to laugh through a story is a refreshing change. The humour masks some dark undertones and serious issues, but light will always conquer darkness. CJ couldn't have found better role models than his dads and their close circle of friends. This is giong to be a great summer.

Good point about the two dads, they make the moment light and uplifting when it needs to be but when it comes time to play hard ball they aren't likely to take prisoners. And OMG I did not actually hate Lourdes grrr and Dickhead until this chapter, I'd call them giant aholes but I happen to like those. What a great story and we've only just started, nice job

OMG loved Brett ( yeh I know stand in line ), their whole convo had me in stitches. It got me wondering, as someone else mentioned, why CJ would be so afraid of his fathers' reaction and possibly ending up homeless. Both father and papa clearly came across as the right go-to guys. I'll just put it down to typical teenage over-dramatization my life is over angst with the appropriate eye roll. Anyway both are a refreshing inspiration and top of the honours list for gay couple. As for the Trog homophobe, wondering if knowing CJs' dad is gay living with a gay partner would have really gotten under his skin, having the chance to now take his crap out on the son would have given his penile mind some satisfasction. The egg, did she too harbour resentment her ex is gay and living with another man? Really rough on CJ to be treated the way he was, but again I think what better place for him to be than with someones who will care for, nurture and understand his needs. I'd like to think he wasn't kicked out of his home ( it was probably never a home ), he was allowed to go live in his real home with his real parents. They did it in a shitty way, but IMO they couldn't have given him a better gift. If I'm gonna feel sorry for anyone, it's the younger brother.

Great start, falling in love with it already' What sold me of course was the loving acceptance of the father. Sure it was probably a bit of a surprise, he had thought there might have been "girl' trouble. Like a few others I was touched by the father/son moment with the milk and oreos. I had thought of a few harsher names for the step beside trogladite though I had to laugh at that one. The mother eh. End of day, he's probably better off with his dad so small mercies. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series, plenty to read and keep me occupied. Thanks for the story.

Damn. You know we love everyone at Second Chances, all the boys, their dogs and their horses. So understandably losing Winston was just as heartbreaking as if you'd have killed off one of the boys. With all the other crap and upcoming dramas that was just unnecessarily mean. Why????

Like everyone else so glad to see Spin will be ok. I just hope they somehow find the ones responsible, I suspect some of TJ's old football friends, maybe even the guy who attacked Devon that time and got decked by TJ. TJ's dad is a real piece of work and we can obviously see part of why TJ was the way he was earlier. So glad he changed for the better and is finally free to be himself. Having the love and support of his mom is an added bonus. I'm hoping the family money is actually hers' making her leaving that much sweeter. I'm especially pleased that some of the parents, e.g. Brandons', are not being swayed by the BS from the news channel. Obviously some will have the knee jerk reaction of wanting to cut ties or at least distance themselves. Let's hope many more will see through the smudge, for the sake of the family and all the horses they could help.
