Chapter Four: For What It's Worth
Goodie commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Chapter Four: For What It's Worth
And on a different note, I was cracking up over 'Your Mother" that was so damn funny. I went through quite a few puns in my own head, anyway, kept me amused for a couple of minutes. Not just me then. Hoping I'm just reading too much into those little niggly things. When they're together, everything just seems right with the world. ohh nearly forgot, hope Nick remembers to show his song to the guys, they will absolutely love it......ok Matt definitely, Stuart will no doubt have an opinion. -
Now that was a good chapter. I think Mandi carried that one for me, love good female characters just to help balance out all the gay boys and she is awesome. She and Mel have got to meet. Dave has the makings of a true friend in her. Shame she couldn't go to the party because boys would be there, if only the parents knew what went on at girl parties.

Chapter Two: One of a Kind
Goodie commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Chapter Two: One of a Kind
I kind of like Stuart for the fact he comes across as straight up and says it as he sees it, not one to mince words. Could be construed by some as arrogant, but at least with that kind of honesty you always know where you stand. So far he's been all business and hasn't seemed to express any kind of interest outside of the band so will just have to wait and see. It's heartbreaking to see Nick still suffering over his ordeal and I truly hope his nightmares will end with Craig being locked up. At least the detective seemed to be onside so fingers crossed. -
Chapter One: Too Many Friends
Goodie commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Chapter One: Too Many Friends
Finally managed to get back to this series and will try and stick with it this time so I don't lose track of who's who. Must really suck for the boys to be in different schools now. But at the same time, a little separation might be good, makes any together time more precious. Guess we will see how they handle it. -
Chapter 29 - It ends... It begins.
Goodie commented on Nephylim's story chapter in Chapter 29 - It ends... It begins.
I don't have the depth of words to express just how much I came to love this story. I actually didn't initially and even had a pet hate for Luma. But you drew me in, broke me down and eventually made me a convert. I guess you have to be some kind of really special writer to be able to do that....... This is only the second story of yours that I've read but I've definitely become a fan and look forward to searching out more of your works. Heartfelt gratitude. -
This is so far beyond great, it's truly beyond words even. I still have to pinch myself and wonder how did we get here. I began with the image of a heartless immoral monster lusting after young men to now finding myself in the presence of divine beings. I almost find myself instinctively averting my eyes but then I wouldn't get to see the glory unfold. Knowing what I know now would have diminished the journey....absolutely brilliant

What a great opportunity and I'm excited for Jesse,Dylan and Ace. I bet once they weave their particular magic they are going to wow everyone and steal the show. It's going to be awesome as well to meet these new English characters and some new horses. Seeing relationships develop between horse and riders is something extra special that you bring with your stories. And like Wesley says, tissues a must.
-
More of our favorite people and horses, what a treat. Dyl and Jesse were probably my most favorite out of all SCRHR crew on account of how much they both went through. And there have been quite a few developments I see so it will be great to catch up with everyone. It's quite a few years on but I wonder if Kaya is still with us? Everyone loves these stories, me too.

Chapter 27 - The Choir and the Wheel
Goodie commented on Nephylim's story chapter in Chapter 27 - The Choir and the Wheel
Is this why Serif hung around for so long not revealing himself. Was he waiting for Luma to restore the four races so he could use their combined powers to seize control for himself? This is so powerful and you should be applauded for tackling this kind of subject matter. I can't really think of any other story on this site that has been as captivating or as educational as this, bravo. -
Huge sigh of relief. I may not fully understand all that happened, but the end result is what really counts. An ascended Star means he is now more than an equal to Luma and may even surpass him in some aspects. A cured Bridge who I'm guessing will now go on to fulfill an important role. And Sacha, the lone human, who as Luma said will keep them all grounded. The four of them feed off each other physically, emotionally and spiritually, there now seems to be a balance. Whereas before it looked like it was all about Luma, now it's a shared relationship where each is properly recognised. Really loved this chapter.
-
Is this really it for Star in human form and if so is that supposed to be a good thing? I've always been fascinated by stories about the angels and I'm learning some really cool stuff from reading this story. I need to read on to see what happens next.

There probably was a bit of awkwardness betwwen Adrian and Luca, one with residual feelings and the other still harbouring some guilt over ending the relationship. But the way things have worked out are undoubtedly for the best. I know it's not nice to revel in someone's death.....but this is Jezebel. Besides, I think the following says it all “Make sure to leave her face, Ysabel,” she heard Luca call from the other side. “And don’t end it too quickly,” added Eamon. “Her shrieks are music to my ears.” Most excellent chapter.

Chapter 24 Fading and Shining
Goodie commented on Nephylim's story chapter in Chapter 24 Fading and Shining
Well thank goodness, I couldn't have worked out most of that. Figured Luma was one of the fallen, but thought they were all nephylim apart from Serif and that Astaria was their human mother. I best just leave the writing to you, your imagination far exceeds mine. I'm glad I spotted the comment you rarely kill major characters and we know you really love Bridge as much as we do.....right? Because you've got me really worried now not just for Bridge, but for Star as well. Seems the change is so dangerous there's the real chance we could lose both and you wouldn't.....would you? Almost afraid to read the next chapter but like a car wreck I just have to see what happens...... -
Poor Alex. His horrible experience makes me think of those places they send gay kids to try to pray away or program the gay out of them. Probably the most potent weapon they used besides drugs was probably the guilt trip, making him think he was bad and turning Sam gay, threatening to take him away. I wonder if Luma might make another visit to the world to have a chat with some more fudged up parents and doctors.
-
Now that Serif has revealed himself as a seraph I'm back to thinking of fallen angels again. The others are throwing me off though, Bridge haven't worked out yet, Star the dragon? can only think of one, surely not HIM is it? Hehe said I was going to stop guessing and just read but you keep throwing us these crumbs. The leader of the fallen was said to have revealed to a woman the most sacred secret, a name, hence they were separated and he was kept in limbo. Headaches coming back, time for one more chapter.
-
I have to agree, like Luma, you can't really deny Bridge anything. To see him caught up in the magic of the dance and so happy, how could anyone take that from him?
-
I give up lol, I'm just going to read and enjoy the story. Dinner's getting cold and I think Sacha and Bridge are waiting for those two to hurry up, I bet they give them shit knowing exactly what held them up.

Chapter 19 - Past Meets Present. True Nature Revealed
Goodie commented on Nephylim's story chapter in Chapter 19 - Past Meets Present. True Nature Revealed
Ummm thought I had it....no....yes.....no. Headache....next chapter. -
I feel so bad that I had treated Luma so unfairly all this time. My mistake was that I had judged him by human standards which don't really apply in his case. It is in his nature to behave as he does. Opening his heart and allowing himself to love again is the greatest gift Star, Sacha and Bridge could have given him. I don't yet understand the significance of the gifts he has given them but I know they have great meaning and I'm sure we will learn more shortly.
-
Now that he's stopped fighting it and is able to give and take the relationship between Star and Luma is finally able to blossom. And now Sacha is drawn in closer than before and the real family building is taking shape. Just waiting on Bridge to finally make them complete. I'm as worried about Bridge as much as Luma seems to be. There is a great deal of uncertainty as to whether Luma has the time to bring Bridge back fully which suggests his powers are not limitless. I don;t want for anything to happen to any of them, Bridge especially.
-
The whole vampire imagery was a nice smoke screen and blinded me to all the little clues, funny how blindingly obvious everything is once the light bulb comes on. As I read, the constant rebellion that stirred my imagination eventually forced me to cast out all doubt and accept that I had fallen. Fallen for this wonderful tale. Like Star the veil was finally lifted and I was able to see the real tragedy. Simply brilliant.
-
Guess I'm going to have to concede as well. But then that's partially your fault because we never got Lumas' POV on the past deaths till this chapter. I will admit to judging without hearing the full story. I'm assuming that's not the full story though and there's so much more to be revealed. You've done a great job with this as well as leading me on a merry chase.
-
The twins segment was very heartbreaking and heartwarming. The image of Sam comforting Alex as he lay dying and then being ready to follow him into death had me in tears. This is one rescue I can especially appreciate. Radu gets a goody point for this one and a promise not to refer to him as a monster from now on. Still not my fav person but there's the potential for a possible thawing.
-
I was pretty satisfied by that bit of vengeance. Just remember though, Radu has a lot to answer for as well, so when the avenging angel calls on him I hope he will be as accepting of his judgement.
-
Radu obviously enjoys the chase as much as the conquest. He almost deliberately baits Star just to get the reaction. Bridge continues to cast his magic having a softening effect on everyone.
