Some deep thoughts there. All I can say is if anyone deserves a HEA for all the crap they've had to endure, then surely it's Alexi. So please be kind.

Evan has made the right choice, hopefully he will be able to stick to it but at what cost? His father is a very dangerous figure as evidenced by Evans' nightmare. What a terrible thing to use one son to kill another thereby sealing the fates of both. Evan will need to tread very carefully. As for Alexi, I'm proud that he's decided not to live the lie anymore and be honest about his sexuality. He will need great courage. I'm so glad he and Hunter are growing closer, they need each other especially now with their world being turned upside down.

Sweet chapter. It would be extremely cruel for Alexi to experience his special gift from Evan, only to have Evan betray him, Hunter and the family.

I'm not sure if I can trust Evan, He seems sincere about his feelings for Alexi, but will that be enough to make him do the right thing?

OMG this story is so damn good. I loved that movie with Matt Damon and Leonardo btw. Is Evan with the bad guys? Who are the bad guys anyway? Seems Sam and Dana aren't so squeaky clean. Poor Hunter..." THEY FUCKING KILLED MY BROTHER BECAUSE OF YOU ". Awesome, just truly awesome.

Mean guys ruin a good story or Evan goes postal and saves the day......this is really good.

Wow, more secrets. Glad Hunter finally came round and accepted Alexi, not just as a new foster brother but as a troubled gay teen in need of some serious councilling.

Love and time, just what the doctor ordered/ So many questions to be answered but enjoying opening Alexis unfolding story. Even learning about the family and especially Brandon is shedding new light on things and now we meet Evan. Loving it so far.

Poor Alexi, he's obviously been through hell and Hunter certainly isn't helping. No doubt we will learn the backstory, meantime, Hunter is at the top of my s**t list.

Thanks for another great chapter. It was nice to catch up with the NC crew and seeing them make more connections and expanding the extended family. I love the way everyone is so open and accepting and willing to share their love of each other. I'm a bit concerned about Maries parents and how they may look at her and matts continued relationship. The only downside in this chapter for me was Brandon. The way he was talking about Camille actually rubbed me the wrong way, he sounded like a bit of a pig. I hope things work out between Camille and Lucas.

I knew it was coming but I still feel kind of sad that it's over. I was satisfied with the ending though, I know it could have gone to another book, who knows. Anyway, this was the perfect compliment ot the WAR series. It was an incredible journey and I've loved, laugh, cried and hated my way through all of it. I will defnitely miss Billy, Brett and co., maybe even despicable H who will get his no doubt. Thanks for the ride and sharing this incredible series of stories with us and wishing you success on your next ventures.

Poor Jay. he'd planned a big surprise at the mall which didn't go down because he misread the ads, not a total loss though. Mikeys sneaky little excursion to the jewellry counter will be a nice surprise for Jay. I liked that they met up with Dave and Trebor and it was especially good that the older guys had spotted them and were keeping an eye out for them. I'm glad I pick up some of the older references in comments, I don't often get it....ohh reminds me, Zoinks and Jinkies? too funny. I did finally recognise one of the song links though, David Bowie, so I'm not totally hopeless. Anyway, a nice easy no drama fun chapter for us to enjoy and I did, thanks.

No problem with the speed, this story requires the same patience as the romance between J&M. So take all the time you need, your health and well being come first. Hope and best wishes along with healing prayers for a speedy recovery

Awesome chapter. It was good to see Mikey being the strong one and comforting Jay while he had his minor meltdown, then later in the bedroom, wash his feet and clean up his mess so he wouldn't get in trouble with his mor. I love the patient teasing, slow sweet and tender. This is a romance of hearts and minds, the body parts will automatically do their thing and follow later. But for now, it's a feast of emotions, gentle and restrained, the build up and anticipation to the next step is perfectly weighted. Love these two.

This just keeps getting better. Meeting the parents was a resounding success for both sides, put Miles at ease after a bit of coaxing and some handy Danish phrases, and allowed Rosalie and Dirck to meet the boy who is kaereste to Jay. That they love and accept this relationship and have welcomed Mikey into the family is testament to their goodness and faith. As for Linda, not going to write her off just yet. I used to squabble constantly with an older sister, she loved to torment me. Yet, if anyone else ever messed with me, she and her friends would be all over it. Surprisingly or not, she's bout the only family I still have contact with. I'm hoping Linda might turn out like that for Jay. Anyway, thanks for another beautiful chapter.

I listed four key points above. That's where I had to stop and collect myself for a moment. Finally made it to the end through the tears. This was a very moving chapter. Thank you.

Jay is definitely the key to release Miles from his prison. The door is opening wider each time and the more Mikey steps out, the more he'll be able to look back and leave all his insecurities in that empty cell. This was a deeply moving chapter, both sad and full of love.

Nice chapter this one giving us a closer look into the family and it's origins. Had a good feeling about the parents and this chapter just proved how decent and solid they were. Was a nice moment having them sitting on the couch discussing their children, "Two or Three?"lol. The love for each other and their family, even Linda who has turned out quite different, is clearly there. In keeping with their roots, the little snippets of Danish dialogue they would slip into was a nice touch adding realism and depth to their characters. And of course, mom, sharp as ever, not going to get much past her, the shirt I can understand, the belt, that's just scary lol, gives new meaning to " a mother always knows....". Then there's jay. Love the way he's compared to mom in looks and temperament. It was fun watching him going through his chores, especially milking the cows hehe. And singing to his horse, gotta love it. Absentmindedly humming away and getting a rise out of his sister was funny too tho it did lead to her later outburst and her getting grounded. Finally the bedroom scene and the sock, that was a good laugh too. Then getting out to the truck and sharing some dad time, and was that a subtle hint from dad about Mikey?

Awww such a sweet chapter. It was all so innocent and tender. Miles insecurities continued to show. Having learnt some more details about his parents we can begin to see why. Jay was trying to be reassuring but at the same time was nervously cautious. Slow and steady wins the race, Jay definitely has the patience and consideration. But even now we can see glimpses of Miles letting his barriers down and allowing himself to accept this is real. This is going to be a sweet relationship to watch develop. Lovely heartwarming chapter, thank you.

Man I think we've all had one of those days where nothing seemed to go right. Just knowing that it was causing all kinds of unnecessary anguish at Miles' house just made everything seem so much more frustrating. There were plenty of cute and funny moments going on....buying of the chocs and then dear old dad digging deep, " Will ten shut you up....or fifteen? " lol. However, knowing the urgency of the situation it just put us more on edge. We knew the phone wasn't going to be answered so we just wanted Jay to hurry up and get there, worrying the whole time that something else was probably going to go wrong. That whole scene of trying to get the garage door open, the inner voice trying to calm him down, keep him focused and thinking straight. Thank goodness he had some life guard training. It was a close thing, but Jay saved him. Miles rightly felt foolish. I think we can safely say what Jays feelings and intentions are, hopefully Miles will recognise and believe and come to trust in Jay. If you were going to put your trust in someone, then a person who just saved your life is a really good place to start.Great chapter to what is becoming a really great story. Think I can safely say I'm hooked

Well that started out so well with Miles nervously getting ready for his big date. hehe I could easily picture him going through his entire wardrobe trying to decide just the right thing to wear.loved the little interaction with the cat, I should say the killer cat haha, and the name 58, purrfect, I'm glad you explained the name later, had me wondering. Anyway, down to business. I'm also guessing Miles will be ok since theres loads more chapters to come. However, my heart bleeds tears, poor Miles. I see some of myself in him so I feel some of his pain. Unfortunately I can see why he went there and it's really sad. Anyway don't want to dwell on this because I know it will work out. A burst of love and positive energy to all the Miles' in the world.

Wow that was an interesting and quite surprising chapter. So now we know who Kurt is, I'm kind of not sure about this. I'm just glad I'm not Miles.....wait....actually having two guys to choose from what am I saying. I kind of liked Jay from the start before this whole phone sex with Kurt thing started ( damn I was really hoping that was actually Jay ),I'll just have to wait and see how Miles deals with this. That was a really great chapter btw.

That was definitely a fun chapter. Now I'm just as intrigued as everyone else, that was suspiciously unrandom. I would hope it is Jay, I'm about to go find out in the next chapter.

Wow, must really suck having a car but not being able to drive it, such a nice set of wheels too. The pill thing and the little routine he goes through is a bit sad and scary, I hope he will continue to find reasons to say "not today....". I was born a couple of decades too late so some of the references escape me but I can still appreciate the story, some things transcend time and as one commenter noted some things haven't changed much. One thing though, I think it's a lot easier today, gay rights having come a long way, always room for improvement tho. And the phone call at the end...lol, umm what the hell hehe, damn I wish I had one of those, mind you I'd likely cwap myself and hang up.
