I think Im with James B on this, I don't get any real consolation out of the fact that it was just a bj, it was still forced sexual contact so bad enough in itself, sure, could have been worse but ti was definitely bad enough. Why is it homophobes think its ok to use "gay" acts to hurt us???? The fact Adam and Troy will overcome this together is about the only real consolation in all this. It was sad to think Adam may feel this would jeopardize their relationship. I hate to think how he might feel knowing that Adam almost left the other night, albeit for different reasons. The photo evidence may have disappeared and the dirty cop may get away with his duplicity in these crimes, but I have to believe that somehow someway they will all get whats owing. Sadly, in real life aholes tend to get away with crap....thats why I read these stories to see justice served.....I know you won't disappoint.

Great chapter. Until others mentioned it I wasn't too worried about the detective but I am now. I hate the thought Mike and his cronies may still somehow get away with what they did. And now from Troys heart rending confessions it appears they may have done something more than just beat him up. I'm not thinking rape at this point as they were interrupted by the dog walker and there would have been some evidence, at least I'm hoping. Have to read on......

Like Mr Hawkins I tend to search for completed stories to sate my appetite thus keeping myself gainfully occupied while apishly waiting on other authors I am following to update their stories. Fortunately in this tale I have found something worthwhile. Phone...bush ? lol And here was I thinking he was trying to say pro.. mise, as in Adam promise not to do anything stupid. Because trying to skip out was stupid, thoughtless and a bit selfish. Thankfully Mr.C was there to make you realize all this and set you straight. Luckily I love ya and can't be too hard on you....but yeh I'd probably kick your ass too for pulling that shit. Poor Troy, could have been so much worse. Clever boy, if he did something with his phone to finally incriminate the bullying aholes then he is just the mans' man. Hopefully the phone will tell all, we can get some justice, and our two boys can be allowed to get on with enjoying each other in peace.....no wait.....that would pretty much end this story too quickly and I'm enjoying it too much.

Tomayto/tomarto I luv this story me. The fact noone really gets paid for doing this ( well I assume they don't ) means i myself and me can sit back and enjoy all this cool free reading well written well told well otherwise or not. Hehe almost forgot what I wanted to comment about having got too caught up in reading the comments which i find almost as entertaining as the actual story, I digress. Someone made the interesting comment Troy may have used the text to go off and do something he shouldn't. I can't bring myself to believe that because it's far too scary a thought. I'm just gonna skip the speculation and read the next chapter since I have that luxury.

Another awesome chapter. What I got most from this was seeing Adam's newfound confidence and assertiveness leading him to take the initiative for a change, and he was certainly well rewarded for his efforts, both he and Troy. It's kind of sad though to have him think the beatings and ill treatment at the hands of his father were a good thing leading him to this new life where he can finally explore and enjoy being his real self. What his father did and would have continued to do was unforgivable and I certainly wouldn't fault Adam for hating the man. Perhaps this shows he is even stronger than we thought and if anyone deserves happiness in life, Adam sure does. Love this story and these characters.

Agreed, this is a very enjoyable story. I too love the way Adam is finally being given the chance to branch out and realize his full potential, I'm sure he has even more to discover about himself. Troy is just the right ingredient to help him grow and even give him that little push where needed. I don't get why they wouldn't report Mike Daubney and his goons. That the guy would come to their table and gloat the next day shows he has no remorse and is likely to keep being an unwanted thorn in their sides.....the old adage "ignore it and it will go away" doesn't seem to fit here. I'm sure Mike and co will get theirs in the end, I'm just worried about the damage they could cause before then.

Great chapter. Adam is definitely better off now and thriving in this new loving and carefree environment. At home he has the love and support of Troy and his family, the mom and dad are just brilliant. At school, I'm happy to see Troys friends are also supportive and even encouraging of the relationship. Adam is definitely safer physically, but after that dream his mental and emotional well being may be of concern, the trauma and abuse he suffered would have left more than visible scars.

Ouch,damn and a whole bunch of expletives. When the religious aspect came up I had a sneaky suspicion where things might go but certainly not to the extent it did. Adams father is a complete psycho nutter giving God, the good book and decent fatherhood a bad name, his day of judgement will come. Thank goodness for Troy being there. Especially glad that he went to his dad and brought him along as well. Too often teens in these stories avoid involving parents and try to deal with things on their own. Troys father has already shown the caliber of his character, hopefully Adam will get to see what a real father can be like.

I can tell just after reading the first chapter this is going to be a good story. Boy from wrong side of tracks gets to walk on greener grass, my kind of thing. Lets hope the dream isn.t over before its even begun. Thanks.

Well the first good thing is that Aiden with Tyler finally confronted H and told him they weren't afraid of him anymore and didn't care what he threatened to do and were together in this no matter what. Together they make a good team with Tyler already beginning to make some positive changes to Aidens attitude ( yes, now that we're nearing the end and starting to get over my dislike of Aiden). The meeting with his father reminded me he was, next to Dustin, one of the biggest victims in this whole tragic affair which made him extra vulnerable to H's manipulations. ( and yes I'm deliberately refusing to use it's full name ) I think when Aiden stood up to his dad and shot him down, it was probably the first time in this story i was actually proud of him. Maybe some day they can reconcile and thus deny H another little victory....but not today. Aiden still has some healing to do and still has stuff to work out, but hes finally on the right track.

That was such a happy chapter. DJs reunion with his mom and sister went well. Rodney big mouth outing DJ was kind of funny. Darra is doing very well and her fiance Ramous seems like the perfect match. I think it speaks volumes for him that he has accepted not just Rodney and Camille but also DJ and Jamie. I wonder if we might get to see what fun the newly weds are getting up to in Gay West. Great to see the California cousins have finally arrived. The family just keeps growing. Such a huge turnaround from Dougs lonely days.

Ohhh Im thinking this could be one of my favorite chapters. Theres always so much going on, never a dull moment in Smalltown. DJs reunion with his brother was touching. Its very commendable that Rodney has been looking for DJ and went to great lengths to find him, testament of his love for his older brother. Unfortunately at the same time it casts a sad shadow over DJs character that for all his time he didnt give much thought to his former family. I love DJ to bits but this has kind of shattered my perfect image of him. Of course, not his fault, mine, noones perfect we all have our little disappointments and I love DJ too much to be able to hold anything against him. Im actually more worried about Danny and Fernie. I wish they would be more careful. Their little public display at the game could cause serious problems if the wrong person saw or hears about it. Looking forward to the cousins making the move and joining the east coast family. I think Damion and Brandon will thrive in their new home in NC surrounded by loving and caring people. Best of all, Julia is gonna sh"t bricks hehehe. Great story, only one chapter left before I catch up.....hope your pen is busy

Wow such a sweet sad short but with a happy outcome and a graceful ending. This would have made an awesome full story. Im going through a similar situation right now so this story struck a serious chord. Unfortunately my story wont have a similar outcome and I will remain sad over what cannot be. Well when it comes to evil genius, Hartley fulfills that role perfectly. Tylers surprise inclusion in the game is ample proof of that. Does Aiden really think even after everything hes just learnt that he has the remotest chance of taking on Hartley, the master of manipulation and primary douche? All the little players are out of their league. About the only one clever enough to beat someone like Hartless would be Reilly.

Excellent chapter. So proud of Artie right now. He had me worried there for a bit, I should have trusted him to come through. It was a long time coming, but so worth the wait. Thank you.

BC is probably still my personal favorite, Ive actually still Davids story to read, but PK comes a close second. That final chapter brought on the waterworks. Such a nice surprise to see a newly turned around Donald. Knowing theres a second book is good else it would have been too sad to see the end of our new friends. Once again Geoff, youve written another winner with this beautiful story. On to your next book and I hope and pray you keep sharing your magical talent with us. Thank you.

Great chapter. My only other thought on this one is the college thing. Appalachian State is recruiting for its sport programme? Matty could afford to go anywhere and since hes looking at a future in music, just wondered if he wouldve been better looking for somewhere more suited to his goals? In either event, I hope that Matt and Eddie will survive the separation, it will be a difficult time for both. Eddie following in his fathers footsteps and becoming a minister, gotta love it. The possibilities for another book....................

I had a similar reaction for a similar reason so likewise held off comment initially. Despite claiming to want to make things right with his son after all the hurt he caused him, George still managed to hurt Matty even more by killing himself. Such a selfish gutless individual grrrrr. His act makes the words in his letter meaningless bs. Matt deserved better and will now never get it. I hope Matty and Eddie will work together using the money to help other abused children. Im not going to read too much into Nate and Simon, its a very emotional time for everyone and they filled a need for each other at the time. Like Eddie said, its too early to decide on anything and they need to not rush too quickly into what may or may not be their defining sexual preference. Reminds me of Nick and Noah. The unconditional love and support of the token straight sibling is a significant and powerful endorsement of "our" lifestyle. IMO its diminished somewhat if they turn out to be gay themselves.

Yeah that kind of came out of nowhere. Its a shame we wont now get to see how genuine George was about changing and accepting Matt and Eddie. This will be a difficult time for Matt, I have no doubt that Eddie and the Hamilton family will get him through this. Great chapter but very sad.

Well that was a fun and exciting chapter. I think the Hamiltons were completely blown away ans maybe even a little embarrassed by the VIP treatment, good on them, they so deserved it. TBH Im not familiar with GMA (sorry), but obviously its a huge deal ( hey, Ive heard of Oprah and Ellen ) Im actually looking forward to audience questions and wondering if some homophobe is going to use this to spout off their hate. Curious too about George, is he suddenly realizing how special his son really is? Great story.

Such a relief to see things working out so well. Donald was fortunate the Hamiltons are good people and he gets the chance to learn to become good people. The promposal was probably the highlight of this chapter for me, you always seem to pick the perfect songs to match the occasions. I especially thought the exchange of promise rings was sweet.

Another fine chapter.Im glad Eddie got the answers he needed from Donald. Getting the full story and understanding his motivations was a big step in the healing process for both boys. Now even I feel sorry for Donald. Was going to transfer my hate to the father, then thought wait, lesson learnt. Maybe the father too was a victim of his upbringing, where does it end. Hate hate itself. Such a thought provoking chapter.

Im of two minds. Yeah I kind of thought he deserved a punch in the face just for being who he is, but I also felt sorry for him feeling like hed been used.....again. Then got mad when he gloated over Billys dramas, was upset when Doug was slapping him round, angry when the bratty side came out.....goodness Im all over the place just like Aiden. Thought the mom catching him and Ty at it was funny, I think she handled it rather well. Im left wondering if Tyler had been honest with himself from the start and he and Aiden had gotten together sooner, would all the dramas have been avoided and Aiden not pulled some of his dumb cwap? who knows. Thanks for the chapter.

I too am glad they rejected the plea offer. I dont want to see Donald spend the rest of his life locked up but I am hoping for proper justice for what he did. Its one thing to hate gays, unfortunately even homophobes are entitled to their f****d up opinions, but its not ok to act on those opinions and attack others verbally or physically. That of course applies to any kind of discrimination. Alas, theres always going to be haters, I just wish they would keep it to themselves. Of course the best possible outcome will be for Donald to see the light and change his ways, we live in hope. On a lighter note, glad the boys are able to relax, have fun and enjoy their break. Maybe next break they can plan to have the whole squad along.

Great chapter. Loved Nate of course, kids today huh. With internet and social media,etc. why does it surprise us they know more than we give them credit for. Im glad you didnt make him gay, Im open minded enough to accept straight people and even like a few. I wouldve been right there at that candlelight vigil.In fact, Id be one of Pastor Clays congregation if he were here. Wonder if theres gonna be some group fun at the cabin?, thats almost trademark Geoffism.
