I have the same question @scrubber6620had why can't Jace heal himself🤔 It seems like all these stories about people with supernatural abilities have these annoying rules.People who are called on to do what Jace does have the ability to heal people....except for themselves of course

If Macy was taken against her will there are two possibilities It somehow has something to do with Martinez car or Connie looked at Lucas recent assignments and noticed Lucas never returned the keys to the condo and put two and two together

Adding one more thing to speculation about Swift if he were really a detective assigned to this case he would have had more of an objection to Jase presence

Every thought I had has been covered in the chapter comments.What @raven1 said is a concern but Jase has been at this for awhile and after that talk with Philip he's aware of that possibility so I'm guessing he has found ways to counteract that. Only one flaw in this chapter Jace went to Starbuck and only had a bill of $4.16?Even in 2007 that was almost impossible to do😄

Remember the slogan "Must see TV"? Chapter nine will be "Must read GA" I'm going to get slightly off topic here when Lucas said “On the lam? Really?” Lucas arched his eyebrow at the tiny pair of sparkly jeans Jase had picked. “Do people still say that?” I reminded of a recent local story on the news about about a person who been going on farm and how should I put this? Diddleing the sheep.A couple of nights after I saw that one of the late night one of the late night comedians(I forget which one) referred to that story and "Police haven't found him yet he's taking it on the lam" Sorry I thought this would be a good place to share that

On one hand thats an excellent question on the other hand if that would be the case perhaps Jace would stop trying to save Macy(maybe not)This tells me Jace expects to move on.

The main reason I'm writing this review is so this story will get the 5 stars it deserves although I'm confident others will follow. There isn't much I can say about this story without being redundant about what I reviewed about his other stories what I wrote about those apply here it has all the elements a great @Ronyxstory has and of course that can only be a good thing. I will say in this story there are two supporting characters who are exceptional even by Ron's high standards( I won't do a spoiler and say who)

We found out the reason why Dion stole food from the cafeteria. I liked Mr Marshall as a character I but I felt after finding out why Dion took the pieces of fruit he should have just let it go but then again if he hadn't given Dion detention he probably doesn't get interested in James. I'm so glad Mr Wilbur was at the barbecue. As good as all the characters were Mr Wilbur was the star of the story I hope I'm not out of line for mentioning this Ron has this on his Facebook page but there is a brand new story coming soon (he didn't say when) I can't wait😀

A thought Trevor had "Trevor felt his wolf give him a little mental kick to remind him to breathe harder like the others". Would it really be suspicious if Trevor wasn't breathing hard? I can't shake the felling things are going to smoothly in recovering the stolen funds. Trevor is certainly a magnet first Skyler and then Randy.It's good thing I'm not doing Trevor's job after Skyler opening comment to Trevor I probably would have kept Skyler from doing his security detail

Most of my thoughts in this chapter have been covered by the smart readers @raven1has a good point about a tracking device on Martinez car I had the same thought about Lucas phone which he ditched.Was it a CPS issued phone? That could help explain how the bad guys found them. The stuff Macy was saying to Jase was extraordinarily intelligent coming from a 7 year old I'm guessing thats one reason why Jase was drawn to Macy's situation

Based on the subtle clues the author has said in her comments I guess Lucas will be able to handle Boss Hogg in the next chapter and Jace will be able to stay close enough to Macy wherever they decide to place her.Bur like @drsawzalland @CincyKrishave stated I see Jace special ability coming into play somewhere down the line. BTW question for @Libby Drew you have this taking place in Florida and you describe the surroundings in a lot of detail.Do you live in or are from Florida? I ask because another GA author who all the readers of this story know who I'm referring to is from Florida.Both of you have similar styles

Someone or something made the determination that Jace has to help 40 souls in trouble and its taken him seven years to do so.The numbers 40 and 7 show up in the Bible a lot maybe I'm off but that's an interesting coincidence. Other then that that I'm still pretty clueless where all this going

Jace reacted like knew his usual powers of persuasion wasn't working on Lucas so he decided to leave regroup and find another way.Is there something unique about Lucas that even he doesn't know? What will situation be when Jace tries again to see Macy?

In a previous chapter it said the year was 2005 I don't remember the economy in Florida being that bad 2008 was still to come. Of course this could be a alternate universe. I love the one-liners sprinkled in throughout the chapter such as .."They could crush a car with their jaws—he’d seen it on the Discovery Channel, and okay, it’d been a Hyundai, but still." and "Are you finished with the kid, Boss Hogg?” just to name a few😄 When Lucas and Jace finally cross paths I can see Lucas trusting Jace although he doesn't know why.

Jase just seems to instinctively know he has to in Kansas City.As if he was programed or something..Still many possibilities is Jase human?Alien? Some other entity has to be responsible for Jace condition. I hope before the end of this Jace sees Helen and Christian again because they were the first that startedJace on this road he's taken. Come to think of it they instinctively knew they needed to help Jace were they also influenced by a third party?
