After reading @raven1 new comment from last chapter I decided to read Andy and Delia's conversation again and like you said in your comment Andy was no relation to Gunnar. So this may or may not be something you would deal with in a possible future story but after all this time and with Katherine being dead is it even possible Andy could find out who his bio-Dad was? Delia had no idea the only possibility I would think is if Allan knew who his sister was with. Just another nerdy thought

In other going back in time stories it is believed if you go back in time and change something then the present time which you came from might be different and there could be consequences.Maybe this kind of thinking is at play here.
