    The Lone Wolf

Ok. I’ve figured out what is going on. Yay for me. Let’s see how Theodore’s view of things pans out. Hopefully this sequel goes beyond the ending of the first story.

    The Lone Wolf

    Kale is vile!
  3. Cowboy Summer is a western-themed, heart-warming story about a British bloke who becomes a cowboy in Northern California. The transition from boy to man is masterfully written, as is the exploration of love, commitment and family bonds, both the blood family and the family we choose. I loved every word of this story and highly recommend it.
  4. How did I miss the sequel??? Well here goes. A great start, as I wrack my brain to remember all the secondary characters.
  5. What a treat this story was! Thank you, thank you. Rhyder has turned into an amazing young man and I have a feeling that Beau is just perfect for him. This could make such a great start to a series.
  6. Same here @Headstall . Just had a thought or two and then the name Beau appeared. It makes perfect sense though. Loved it.
  7. Dad is super and so is mum in her own way. Once she gets her head around the fact that her little boy is no longer a little boy, she will become his biggest fan.
  8. My eldest daughter is a polo yard manager and she would agree totally with that sentiment.
  9. Certainly a great name for Rhyder - a name that the author has been keeping up his sleeve by the way! 😂
  10. Rhyder’s mum is used to being obeyed. Rhyder’s dad, however, sees the potential and is pleased that his son is happy. Caleb’s intervention made a big difference, adding weight to Rhyder’s narrative.

    Big Time Cowboy

    What a cliffhanger!
  12. Yeah, this is a big step for the boys. Let’s see how they do in their classes. We’re expecting prizes 🤞🏽
  13. A night to remember and when Rhyder is an old man rocking on the porch, he will remember this night and smile.
  14. i love Jase and his super self-love. he's adorable in a not-deep-but-pretty manner, I couldn’t agree more. This is Jase to a T.

    Reality Check

As a parent, I do understand Rhyder’s parents’ view. There has been no discussion, just a big surprise. If a child of mine told me she wanted to be a rodeo rider I would have a heart attack on the spot. Nevertheless, Rhyder is now an adult anc can make his own way in the world independently, if he chooses to.

    Night Train

That was amazing. Perfect for 2 eighteen year olds.
  19. Bryce and Rhyder sitting in a tree…

    Throw Down

Now Bryce makes sense! And yes, Sam is right. No way will Ryder want to leave, but being English he will need to finish his A-levels. what will they do?
  21. I’m finding that the more we have to do with Caleb, the wiser, kinder, more of a true friend he seems to be. He is a major hero in this story so far. Perfect mentor for Rhyder.
  22. So Jase really is just a sexy player. Rhyder on the other hand got a first time that is quite unusual. I’m just hoping he doesn’t lay too much hope in anything more from Jase. Jase, I think, is keeping score.
  23. Poor Rhyder. Unless I’m just beguiled by his youthfulness. Perhaps he is more than capable of reading the situation as a first time summer romance. Caleb is very protective. I’m liking him more and more.
  24. Well that has me crying like a baby. I was involved in horse racing for about 10 years and seeing a horse shot for a broken leg is a blow to the gut. Rhyder will figure out what he wants in due course. Cometh the hour cometh the man.

    Rodeo Cowboy

Jase will likely hurt Rhyder, unless it’s love at first sight which we don’t know yet. Caleb needn’t have spoken to Rhyder, but it seems like he is a straight talker and that’s not a bad thing. Same seems a bit sad that Rhyder so clearly admires Jase. Convolution central.
