Another chapter that got the waterworks going! I’m glad Adam is finally moving forward and that he has Alex at his side.

Theo is barking up the wrong tree, I suspect, whilst Jack seems to have found favour with a forest of good oaks. Hopefully Vince makes a full and swift recovery and they can get to Theo before he is wounded beyond his ability to recover - whether that be physically or psychologically.

I thoroughly enjoyed that. This ability some of us have to carry the world around us and just carry on, is shown up so starkly in this first chapter. Here we have two men who not only find an incredibly hot human being, but potentially a person with whom they can relax totally, who will share the weight of their worlds and in that sharing provide a serenity they had longed for but never thought they would find. I LOVE the fact that these are mature men and not teenagers and find it so much easier to identify with them.

As others have said, Theo is almost certainly possessed by some entity that is represented by the noose and perhaps the snake that Jack saw. The longer he remains in this state the less likely he is to come out of it. Jack needs to find his strength now as a Seer and perhaps with the Guardian they can save Theo, his pack and themselves.

The trip through the veil illustrates clearly why this team needed three. They really are a trinity type of thruple in this strange world beyond the veil. A Power Thruple perhaps. 🤔

There is a slow transformation happening here in all 3 of the characters. Vince and Jack are becoming more aligned to Theo and his wolf and in the same way Theo is softening towards these strange pack members he has found. There is something important about Jack being an orphan.

A wonderful Friday surprise and I look forward to another installment next Friday, being Good Friday. Granger is an astute politician and quick to spot networks and links. Like @drpaladin I love him eavesdropping on conversations others assume he cannot understand, and their alarm when they realise he understood every word and nuance. Will he bed Villeneuve? What has Talleyrand written to him? What does the king want him to do?

Theo is definitely softening towards his two mates. Glitter of Hope - this is going to come in useful. Perhaps all of Jack’s good luck charms are going to be needed in the fight ahead. He could well have being preparing for this all his life without knowing it.

Jack’ is clearly moving into the realm of Seer rather than clairvoyant and card reader. He will be the visionary of this thruple. Visited by the Moon Godess who knows his name!

Something definitely resonates with Theo. And I’ve had the same thought about the pack - they could very well be alive in some kind of animated state and their “death” is the lie that the demon wants Theo to believe. But Why? To what end?

So in this alternative reality control of the mind and positive thoughts are a source of power. Perhaps this entity is some kind of Ice Mage or at least appears to have ice magic, but again is it real or in an imaginary realm only? Finally we see the soft side of Theo. Another brilliant chapter.

Jack now confronts his biggest challenge yet as he faces the insidiously sly “wooing” of an evil presence- probably the disembodied Cassandra. He also sees a warped version of the destruction of Whiteflame pack. We need Theo and Vince now!

Perhaps as a clairvoyant, Jack is more sensitive to the paranormal or otherworldly. He has heard his name, felt icy fingers and seen a battle field of corpses including Theo and Vince. And now it seems a witch has him in her grip. This is nail-biting stuff.

Another brilliant chapter and Theodore is softening up and feeling a little jealous to boot. The adventure into the place beyond the veil is going to be very dangerous and all of their skills and perhaps Danny’s at the moment of greatest danger will be needed. Looking forward to this! -
