Mike put a hand on Bobby's shoulder and drew him nearer. They had both developed some fondness for the Trichani dishes that their friend produced with great expertise. Apparently, being a bachelor was much the same everywhere in the galaxy. You cooked, or you starved! Bobby rubbed his hands together happily. "Maybe some baked rrretachuf? With woluf garnishes, and a side of guroof?" "Aw, man!" Mike agreed, smiling. "Would that hit the spot!" I love the use of the Trichani language and the pronunciation of the food dishes they are about to eat. Your imagination keeps me endlessly entertained.

Charlie had talked to Pacha only the other day, telling the Kift that they were off on some new adventure. Pacha had offered to cut their mission short if they were needed, but Charlie had told them to go on and keep looking for the Tower of Nabakeah, that they would be fine. Briefly, Mike wondered how that affair had worked out. Those guys sure knew how to find trouble! If that's not the understatement of the year I'd sure like to see what is!!

Chapter 35: Reunion Part II
James Baxter commented on Demiurge's story chapter in Chapter 35: Reunion Part II
Brilliantly said! I think this is why Alec frustrates me so; he often fails to recognize how good things are, when they are. -
That was really touch and go with what conclusions Deke might draw from Colby's heart-to-heart talk and confession. He came dangerously close to concluding that his attraction to boys was leading him down the road to becoming a monster and he must never love boys lest he turn himself into a vampire. Deke's misunderstanding with drawing a connection between the two proclivities is only going to be aggravated by Colby's continuing suggestion that their problems could be solved if only he'd allow himself to be turned by Colby's "bite of love" that could be administered at any time. If Deke turns down the invitation to join the three and stays behind when they move on is he going to be forever fated to believing that being a boy lover is on par with being a monster? I hope he doesn't develop a complex.

Demi and Shane; it's so fine having them together as only boys exploring each other for the first time can do. They make each other so happy!

Huntington has become one major source of constipation and must be eliminated before he becomes an explosion of diarrhea all over the human world. Another choice for the funniest line.

He was easily distracted as they spent the past forty-eight hours experimenting with a variety of positions, mostly in bed, but occasionally on the couch, in the shower, and a couple of times in the kitchen. At this moment, Elijah’s head was stalled in its journey south of Kage’s border My choice for the funniest line kbois has ever written.

In such a serious and heartfelt chapter, leave it to me to comment about finding hilarious gems within the baby party at the Williamson's. This one was so right on the money description of the sound of a gaggle of women in a closed space: The decibel level created when a dozen or so women, all talking at once, hands flying, indicative of their Italian heritage, was like being caught inside a loud vacuum. That left me laughing in my chair!! And then to follow it up with the group of men in the yard: A few were playing horseshoes or cornhole, and the kids were running around, burning off energy. Now I was slapping my sides!! When I was a kid growing up in Los Angeles, a "cornhole" was when you stuck your finger in another boy's butthole! I can only imagine the men doing that around the horseshoe pit at the baby's get acquainted party!

I love the count of three before they say "OK kiss!". The two of them are so cute together. I'm so ready for the next chapter. -
No offense taken!

The Scourge: Can You Hear It?
James Baxter commented on Headstall's story chapter in The Scourge: Can You Hear It?
When last has a poem reflected what is in my heart? Thank you. -
Loren is like a plant that had been stuck in a little tiny pot forever. He was doing good, but then Jay took him out and replanted him into a big pot and BAM, he's flourishing. This quote above is by mrsgnome from the comments section at the end of chapter 32. I'm reprinting it here in the story comments because in two short sentences she has managed to summarize the whole story. We see this wonderful love story evolve from the viewpoints of Loren and Jay and share a beautiful cast of support characters that are unparalleled in any other location on the site. This story will leave your heart soaring.

Are you proposing to me?
James Baxter commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Are you proposing to me?
I stick my hands out. I don’t know how I became the baby whisperer, but it’s me that gets to do all the baby guru-ing. I blame MJ. Ever since I became the lady oven liaison and unofficial IVF/surrogacy expert, everyone thinks my knowledge translates to everything kid related. I wish I didn’t have such a knack for this shit, maybe then they’d leave me alone. (They'll never leave you alone, Loren!) Jay’s leading it. I will tell you this much, my content has changed drastically over the years. I wasn’t sure what my followers would say when I started including more kids and less selfies but they love it. Aidan and Carson are kind of famous. They have their own hashtags: #aidopotato #littlecarsontot which has slowly morphed to #cmug. Mya has her own cult following, as the only girl, #myapapaya. After a cute video of me flying Wyatt around like he was an airplane, he earned his badge of honor with #wyattthepilot. (So now we know how your show will evolve. Loelife just incorporates every new addition to the family!)- 151 comments

Chapter 25: Talk it Out
James Baxter commented on Demiurge's story chapter in Chapter 25: Talk it Out
I'm so all in on this! Alec and Finn are really talking, and they are both open. They want the same thing and if only they can find a way... Let's give Finn a chance and then see where we are. Everything is looking up.- 26 comments

The Truth in Loren's Eyes
James Baxter commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in The Truth in Loren's Eyes
I can't stop thinking about that tree house and zip line in the backyard in Denver; sure to be a blast for the cousin camp in the summer time, but think about the fun it will be zipping over a blanket of snow in the winter in "Mile High City" in Colorado!- 124 comments

The Truth in Loren's Eyes
James Baxter commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in The Truth in Loren's Eyes
...It put me in a weird position where I felt like I had to choose between my nephews or your mental health—my friends’ monumental moments like getting married and having kids or your mental health.” “Oh.” Loren looked as if he hadn’t considered that. I can believe that Loren had never considered that! He does now!!- 124 comments

Don't do it, Colin. A safe life of not being hurt is not worth it. To give up on all love is no answer. Let Russ love you.
-
I hope Colby is able to explain himself so that Deke is still able to love him, even though there may be no way for them to be together in the future. Deke won't want to become a vampire and Colby must high tail it out of there if he wants to stay ahead of the vampire hunters that have arrived in town. They can each leave behind a memory of true love.

When a Compromise Is No Compromise At All
James Baxter commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in When a Compromise Is No Compromise At All
I was doing just fine. Re-read the previous chapter for point-of-reference, picking up where the previous left off, stepping forward and relishing in Lars and Loren's similarities even though they've been apart for 23 years, Courtney's and Jay's conspiring together and reveling in how the brothers are getting on so well, introducing the newcomers to a dirty Dr Pepper and receiving the thumbs down from Lars, the shared comrodery they are all experiencing, and just the general upturn in the mood of the whole story until I got to the subject of why the 'rents did the dirty deed. I suddenly had to go to the bathroom, trek downstairs and put on a pot of coffee (Deadman's Reach), wait for it to brew then take a cup outside to relax on the patio underneath the umbrella, take out a cigarette (Djerum clove), slowly smoke and drink coffee while enjoying the gentle ocean breeze, finish them both and just remain seated, contemplating life. Then I thought, "What the hell am I doing?" Then it dawned on me - I'M STALLING!! I'm so deeply invested in why those piece-of-shit excuses of parents could just leave one child behind then lie to the other saying that he ran away and then never return for him. I couldn't face what the answer could be that I simply couldn't even read any more. I was totally paralysed and couldn't continue. When I finally came back I was disappointed to find that they had no answer!! Then I thought, "But of course there could be no answer." The act was so diabolical that defied all reason! This is the answer that I now accept and I will never forgive Lars if he ever goes back and sees the parents again!!- 151 comments

I'm glad to see Wyn progressing so rapidly! Given enough guidance he will become a force to reckon with.
