Neil's behaviour was positively racy in this chapter; openly kissing Alex in public on several occasions. At this rate he will be wearing something purchased from Morrie's website in public before the story's end. Neil and Mother appear to have formed a mutual admiration society, much to Alex's surprise and amusement. Mother encourages Neil's talent, which he does not appear to receive from his own mother, and Neil has made Alex appreciate Mother more than perhaps he has previously. His offer to accompany her to the concert at which the son of her shallow work Carly will be playing, delighted her no end. The characters you have created for this story are so easy to like @Robert Hugill. There is not an Aunt Daphne, Graham, Jackie, Venetia Murray, Deirdre, Sheila, Norman or Nathan amongst them.

Wake up!" I fear the voice of Jake may be correct and Nathanial is not emotionally equipped to do anything about it, especially now with the death of his mother.

He is a star, most beloved by Dames Joan Collins and Shirley Bassey, good friends of his mother and Uncle Bertrand. Another delightful chapter @Paladin, an equal mix of humour and solemnity. Coming out is on the horizon. I suspect the "coming out" to family for both Nathan and Martin may be an anti-climax, unless Natasha somehow finds out and attempts to gatecrash Martin's luncheon with his sister and family. If this be so I see turmoil aplenty. Perhaps Martin's sister may slap Natasha silly.

I wrote this comment very late pm on Sunday night on my mobile phone. I struggle to remember how to copy an internet link on the phone as I am much more adept at doing things on my laptop for which I still have a mouse (I do not have the patience for the trackpad). Who shot JR? Who is the stinky who shoved Mannly in the back? I think we can rule out Sue Ellen's sister @dboggs9700 and we know it wasn't Midnight. LOL. My guess is it was one of the thugs who assaulted Mannly, although I dare say his presence at the hotel is coincidental.

I look forward to reading more of Jo's history. I believe the Christian principles I am referring to would likely be embraced by Native American persons, universal principles of kindness, not judging others according to your own beliefs and respect for other persons,

I suspected Jo was a little intellectually challenged @Vcs. I imagine life may not have been kind to him either, another "reject" because he does not conform to the narrow view of what society views as normal. He appears to have found a family who accept him with his limited intellectual capacity, another demonstration of their capacity, dare I say it, to embrace Christian principles. They have more Christianity in their left toe than does the likes of Daisy Mae or other such "Christians" have in their entire hatred-poisoned carcasses.

I was thinking an open-air event in summer at the local park across from Main Street @chris191070. I daresay there will be some very hungry and thirsty "bottoms" after they have been given a thorough spanking; they will want both food and liquid refreshment, thereby benefitting local businesses. The local beautician could offer a special laser treatment or waxing special on all Manzilians for participants in the Beating Of The Buttocks. The mayor could compere the event, with all profits going to local charities. Perhaps Father Costas could "bless" the event and the company Guy works for film it. An international celebration of all butts, good, bad and mediocre.

Might this be the first volunteer for the Beating Of The Buttocks, the new annual attraction at Thompsonville?

Spank is on the soundtrack for the movie 54 (about Studio 54) which I have on CD. I had not heard the song before that; it got no airplay in Australia that I am aware of in 1980. The movie was terribly disappointing. I had read of Le Pamplemousse, but not heard the song Le Spank until tonight when I searched for it.

The death of Nathanial's mother may be the straw which broke the camel's' back. Hopefully with support from Alex he may get through it, but I strongly doubt it. A terribly, terribly sad chapter @J92.

With each passing chapter I dislike Charlie a little more. I wish he would leave Nathanial the fuck alone. He has Claire so go play with her. I was so not impressed with Piper and Grant. Changing the colour of a character's hair sounds like she is merely justifying her employment. I have no doubt Charlie will stab Nathanial in the back and take credit for all the good ideas and lumber him with the not so good ideas. He makes my skin crawl.
