  1. Happy Birthday, Jack. It's nice to see someone else in my age range.
  2. I was thinking you meant Frosty the Snowman, so I was quite surprised when I watch the video. You must have awfully tight underwear on, if you can sing as high as the lady in the vid. lol
  3. It makes me wonder how the city would fare if an earthquake of the same or greater magnitude were to hit today.
  4. Where would we get Keebler cookies from if we don't protect the elves?
  5. Merry Christmas to all. I have to admit, I love nearly all of the standard Christmas music, although I can only take Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer in small doses and the barking dogs tend to get on my nerves about halfway through their song.
  6. Unfortunately, it's too little, too late. The man should have been honored for his accomplishments, but instead he was persecuted for his sexual orientation. Although it may ease the conscious of the government and give a modicum of justice to his relatives, it does nothing for him. The man died humiliated, when he should have been basking in the accolades of his contemporaries.
  7. Happy Birthady, Greg. Hope it's a great one.
  8. The scenery should be simple enough, Dursley's kitchen, if they allow him to eat, possibly the living room and Harry's bedroom - the closet under the stairs. A very limited cast, with basically the Dursleys and Harry, since they didn't allow him any visitors, unless the Dursleys had a few guests. Not sure what this would focus on, except how Harry was mistreated.
  9. Fortunately, his brother is a good sport and goes along with these games.
  10. Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus who can make anything seem possible.
  11. Do we have to worry about the earth tipping over in that direction?
  12. I grew up on a farm, so I have always been a meat and potato man. It was kind of ironic that they built a housing development across from a rather large farm near where I lived at the time. Over the years, you'd be surprised how many of those people complained that he was hanging a cow, pig or deer up to drain, so he could butcher it. What did they expect moving in across from a farm in the first place. I think that goes to show that people don't mind eating meat, as long as they don't have to see or be reminded of how they came by it.
  13. He was a great actor and will be truly missed.
  14. First of all, I never said this story was set in medieval Europe. It was a totally fantasy world. As far as young Percival speaking up, he did so many times, but his father was not interested in hearing what he had to say. Young Percival's fear of what his father might do probably kept him quiet longer than he otherwise would have, but eventually he decided that he had to take that chance. Thanks for responding and I'm sorry you didn't enjoy my little story.

    Chapter 1

Thanks, Dolores, and I hope young Percival found happiness too, but I'm afraid it was too late to save the kingdom. Thanks for reading and responding.
  16. Happy Birthday, Talon. Don't look now, but you're catching up to me. Have a great day!
  17. Happy Birthday, Johnathan, and may you enjoy many more!

    The Pyxides

I loved the idea of using the journals to make the case and I thought you do a wonderful job capturing the style of the students, nurse and headmaster. It's not hard to believe that students can pervert a system to suit their purposes, since some pervert instances when the supervision is lax or they can get away with things in the shadows. Excellent job and I enjoyed this immensely.

    Under the Sun

A unique interpretation of the theme and Pandora's myth. I enjoyed your use of historical figures to tell this tale and create another viewpoint of what it was about. Kudos.
  20. Would the same judge let off a poor person because his parents didn't teach him right from wrong and never desciplined him? Of course not, which makes this decision even more ridiculous.

    Chapter 1

As always, an entertaining story with an interesting twist on the theme. Masterfully done!

    Dual Edged Hope

Cute story with interesting characters and a clever plot. I hope things work out for Awlwyn now.

    Chapter 1

You created a very dark, yet believable world. I find it ironic that many humans who believe that extra-terrestrial life exists also tremble at the thought that such a superior race might enslave them. Yet, so many times throughout history humans have been willing to enslave others. Your story was just another example of how fear can twist a society into becoming something less than human - at least in the way they treat others. Well done.

    Half Jack

A touching story and delicate handling of a very tricky subject. I liked the way you led us through the process and that they were able to reach some sort of a solution. Nicely done.

    Chapter 1

Some people aren't happy unless they're making others miserable, which puts a different take on Happy Holidays. I had relatives that acted similarly, so we just stopped inviting them. If they want to be miserable, they can do it at home - alone. It appears as if the rest of the day will truly be a disaster, so I'm glad you left it where you did. Good job.
