  1. It's not 8.040? Which is the thing I zetaread as you may see in my original post. Well, do correct it in the file you'll post on week 35 in 2015, then. I understand your shyness and your will not to spoil the readers' interest, but they'll have forgotten by the time the chapter is actually posted. I got the OK from my lawyer before I posted this, by the way.
  2. Excerpt from story to be published in 2015 (there are five before this one, title of which will remain secret) to illustrate CJ's style:
  3. Plus it does have major importance in the plot. Don't want to spoil the story, but you people should reread from chapter 10 with the detail CJ revealed in mind. A completely different lighting on the story, rest assured it'll be worth the time you put in it.
  4. I've relished the fact that quite a few male Brits had weird leanings, but I now discover that females from across the Channel are into kink also... Well, then, deviousness over there is not limited to Midsomer Murders characters.
  5. Didn't answer. Can't. Like both. Dumb poll.
  6. It's supposed to be serious. At least that's what they say here. My sister recently mentioned 30 Rock, so I've become a fan. Jack Donaghy is an entertaining character indeed. Though both my sister and I are huge Kenneth (the page) fans.

  8. Now you can practice for casual conversation that will leave your audience flabbergasted with your knowledge: How to pronounce Eyjafjallajokull...
  9. A powerful virus targetting sapiens sapiens only would be better for the planet.
  10. I think that even with a tick box, you'd be disappointed. On our site, which is supposed to get 150-400 individual readers every day, we set up a rating box at the bottom of every story. One story got 40 votes over three years. That's the highest score I found with a quick browse. Most stories don't get over ten votes. Personally, I've given up on huge returns and feedback. The few "fans" are sufficient to make my day with the very nice reviews they send me.
  11. Well, the Lord works in mysterious ways. I guess He hasn't plans for these two to beat the heathens (yet). They'll get their fair share of glory in the afterlife. Meanwhile, others will be very, very hot, and not in a good way...
  12. I didn't react as I read since there are always differences in sizes from one country to the other, and you always find some chart in case of imports. Levi's has such charts on their online site. It would be possible that there's a label on the shelf with UK sizes, and you have to watch a particular item to check out the actual size.
  13. Thanks to my connections, I managed to get the actual pic.
  14. What about a lifetime achievement award? Though I'm pretty sure CJames can outdo himself in his coming stories (I'll tell you, the current one, Circumnavigation, with its unlikely complex and sophisticated title, has quite a few ones that will leave you breathless), but it doesn't hurt to recognize his genius without waiting for his death, which is not done often enough...
  15. A ship from Hell, since it was built in the Loire Atlantique area...
  16. For Steve, to calm him down on the prospect of pirates: Dead Calm (a very scary movie...)
  17. Australian comedy show. Funny, but doing parodies of people in denial is rather easy to have it work. Well done in any case.
  18. Not top Acorn oficials, workers who were fired afterwards. The "investigator" was turned down from several other Acorn offices before he got to the one in Baltimore where they were accepted.
  19. A biopic did shed some light on this issue for me. It's called The Einstein of Sex
  20. It depends.
  21. Doing a PDA? Like people having intimate relationships with a Personal Digital Assistant? I can understand kinky, but only up to a point.
  22. Great cast. Nice work, CJ, it seems it's a crossover between An Officer and a Gentleman and The Big Lebowski. With your own little touch and peculiar fancies.
  23. Hugs. May the funeral be a meaningful family moment.
