    Chapter 21

Google "bird eating spider" native to Australia, this is what I imagined our enemy to be based upon.

    Chapter 20

And... should it not also be possible to reflect a spell back to the caster? This may give everyone an opportunity to not only learn a new spell but to immediately fling it back. (Evil laughter) "shit flickers "....

    Chapter 20

I wonder if it was not just luck that allowed our heroes the upper hand. The 3 mages were surprised and unready for battle, also suffering from hubris about their superiority ( supposedly)

    Chapter 19

Only 9% of the world that still uses mph as a unit of measure, most use kilometres, I think that only the USA is wedded strongly in using it, most of us in the rest of the planet are happy with the metric system 😉 😀

    Chapter 8

    Is the masters shop safe?
  6. This story brings new and old characters together including a visit to Claremont. Includes the fear of HIV into the story with the right amount of traction for the time and the child abuse in handled well . The change of font had me confused as the change of perspective until I realised that it was 3 am. That is how invested in the world i was. People may think that the sex is overdone, for me it mirrored my own experiences perfectly, a young man from rural New Zealand visting Hawaii and San Francisco at that time, almost a memoir!!
  7. This one, this is the one. The glue, the gristle and tendons that bind the CAP series in a way that none of the others do. @Mark Arbour, such a beautiful melancholic love story set over almost 100 years. The final chapters binding so many of the characters together and giving closure to those of us who wondered about many of the emotional loose ends and what drove your characters into the situations you created. Masterfully crafted, thank you

    Chapter 34

With all that sex, imagine the laundry! Haha
  9. Loved it all! Laughter and joy. Very difficult to do and this was executed well, this is a Gem. My husband and I have two girls now 11 and 13, we call them Jibber and Jabber ( not their real names!). This reminded me of all the times when they were small. Take every minute like its the last. Many thanks @Mrsgnomie for the memories.
  10. I originally came to this series via the "Bridgemont " series, and it was only by the fan club comments in that series that I came to this series. This is the 3rd of the books and the focus has moved from JP to his younger cousin Stefan. It took me a bit to acclimatise to the new protagonist and the time frame, but this was the one that resonated with me, pre AIDS, sun and fun and Watergate bubbling along in the background. Honestly I think that I had about as much sexual excitement as Stefan at that time, so it rang very very true to me. Interestingly, Stefan is self centered and vainglorious and at times annoyingly unlikeable, BUT as a person who as found myself to be called "uncle dad" by two young children, his heart is in the right place. A very moving tale well told. Do dive in!

    Chapter 15

And there again @Mark Arbour, guessed the plot line, but nevertheless, fabulous story, next decade is my entry into sex and love, looking forwards to what you bring!

    Chapter 13

Thinking the trip to St. Louis and the death of Jeff.. perhaps closer than you could think?

    Chapter 33

I knew it! @Mark Arbour. Guess many chapters back, horse riding my ass...

    Chapter 28

Me thinks a school teacher /lecturer in our midst.. and one I have noticed in other stories, thankfully not as pedantic about "colour" and "realise" along with other wonderful variations of the joy/frustration of the English language 🙄 😀

    Chapter 8

Just adding my 2 cents, waiting for the next chapter in the Bridgemont series with the lovely George and felt that I should really start with this story that has such a strong fan club! Not disappointed so far, 👌 🙂

    Chapter 6

I know that underground tunnel pass so well, ah memories of the 80s..

    Chapter 4

I have sneaking suspicion that Andre might be "enjoying" JPs mother and the riding might involve more than horses...

Sitting here at home in Sydney with a glass of Brokenwood Cricket Pitch 2020 Shiraz Merlot from Pokolbin. Loved the self reference- in your heart you really are "true blue" eh!

As an Australian it gave me such joy to read a story set not only in my own country, but also my state and city. Most stories are set in the USA and in places that I have not visited or seen, so to know that my backyard was faithfully recreated is fantastic. The story is as one would expect from such a master craftsman, well paced, humorous and adds another step in the "Running with Pack" saga. Each story adds another layer and depth to the world created. A magical read

How about the Australian Prime Minister who went on holiday to Hawaii while the country burned, firies wouldn't shake his hand when he was forced home and was shouted at in the street by people who had to be evacuated. Utube will have Scott Morrison shame recorded forever. Clearly lost the election

I read the 1st and more of this series, my surprise and delight to find it set in my home state of New South Wales and I know of the places and understand all the idioms. Smoke from the bush fires reached Mt. Cook leaving snow stained rust red , 1,950 kms away over the Tasman sea. (1211.6) miles for you Americans. Loving all your stories, introduced the site to a work colleague and so it goes...

    Chapter 75

"Probably"... hahaha 😆 and perhaps more or perhaps less..

    Chapter 75

Story started 2nd August 2017 and now 28 April 2023. The effort here is staggering and I am in awe of the authors dedication to this story. 5 years and just shy of 9 months of gripping George Granger
