  1. Happy Birthday Jan!!! ................Hope it's a great one
  2. ...........The goat is clever, yet will not kill off his main character, (at least as that goat has balls let) Somehow Trevor will survive this. At this point I'm thinking him being rescued or him being storm driven into an island, there are 2 months do dispel here. (almost)
  3. .............Good question the time line is f**ked up! Trevor should have made Australia around 10/30, now we have him drifting, if the Atlantis survives such a crushing cliffhanger crisis! There is no way he can survive drifting for another month, take in the 'forties' pushing him eastward with the sails he has left already starting to shred. Good news is that he 'was a day maybe a day and a half' out of Australia before the 2nd storm!! The rotation of those storms looks like they project southward. Not a good thing for Trevor, he will have to re-climb what is left of the mast and re-insert the sails he made up in swelling waters. And that is even if the Atlantis survives the maelstrom, which it will miraculous Trevor's 357 pistol looks less ominous now, but can the backside of the storm drive him northwards? The goat did say it was a small but powerful storm, could the backside propel what is left of Atlantis enough north to either get rescued or make land fall? The options are very few here until the storm passes, if one storm put him 500 miles south, anothe could put him 500 or better north. I see him drifting just above the '40's' towards Australia. His bearings lost, hopelessness sinks into him, he considers the gun as his rations are depleted.
  4. ..........Yes, you have put Trevor in a very perilous position, he needs gets out of this storm quickly. As you stated if he and the netting are wet, you have left him in extreme danger of hypothermia, he can't start a fire if everything is wet. If that wave was enough to shred his wood mast, what would stop it from crashing through the cabin doors. Hopefully, we will have a nice x-mas chapter up before the holiday next week that will revolve around a present to the readers!!
  5. .......................Damn goat! You have Trevor surfing at a time like this in the middle of a storm? Must of been hard for Trevor to give up his beloved cursed garlic crusher, but who knows it might save his life, if the Atlantis comes out just a bit okay. I wonder how far and which direction the storm will push the Atlantis, before leaving her adrift. Or will the storm push her on land shipwrecked. Back to the wave, three stories high of whitewater? Then the wave must at least a hundred feet high, basically vertical, like a cliff. Therefore, I nominate this chapter to be a cliffhanger!
  6. ............Let me give you the perfect storm here, although 40% of all teens leaving their homes are because they are gay and got kicked out, others are kicked out for other reasons such as abuse, drugs, or left for their safety. I live in Vegas, a nightlight to the young and displaced, but a nightmare to those that are displaced. They survive by any means they can, prostitution, stealing and panhandling. We have a lot of kids here in town from Utah, 'nough said there on that. The storm as I see it is the kids, I cannot do anything about the vets out there anymore, they lived what I know they did, and cannot come to grips with it. If we can halt the children from being the 'homeless' then we can stop the process. I have been informed that some Vegas homeless teens are not even teens, some as young as 11 years old.
  7. I've been there and done that with teens that are homeless, took 3 of them in. For the last 13 years I donated financially to a homeless teen center, last year I was unable to, but this year I donated a lot of winter clothing, tents, and a bike. My hometown has many homeless gay kids here in Vegas, I've never met any of them. But I do contribute as much as I can to them. My project is called Street Teens in Vegas, I'm sure everyone has one in their hometown. I do know from the director that 40% of them are homeless because they came out being gay here. It is really sad what they most want around the holidays, underwear, hoodies, socks and staple food that they can readily eat without cooking. Most of the kids form a group together for safety issues, safety in numbers as you have heard before, when things get tight they will resort to prostitution if panhandling is bad that day. They use whatever resources they can to survive, many do panhandle or steal, many do prostitute themselves, very few get out of the cycle. Instead they wind up in the court system, which throws them another curb, societies rejected now are the bane of society further in the prison system. All because of being rejected at the home front! In Vegas some as young as 11 years old.
  8. ...............Same here!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Hope you had a good one!!
  9. ...........Thanks everyone, I plan to go out for awhile today. On Sunday invite the family over for a Lamb dinner!!
  10. ...... Not so fast Krista! AYC still holds a cliffhanger that is in contention for nomination here!!
  11. ..........Haha Goat you have too much time on your hands!!
  12. ............ Another great chapter, looks like the low pressure system is throwing Trevor further south then he intended to go. I see Ali is not where he intended to go, at least the water is warm for him! :chris: I'm very impressed with Henry, he and Gonzalez's coded conversation said a lot. I wonder how close he will get to Bridget and George? Will he spot the drug plant?
  13. ......................Synchronicity; an apparently meaningful coincidence in time of two or more similar or identical events that are causally unrelated. My guess is the 'low' pressure front which is keeping Trevor continuing south while the the roaring forties are being left behind. By the time Trevor breaks free of it, he will be in the furious fifties.

    ..............I'm amazed at this one
  15. ............Absolutely, I need pockets for my cell, keys and wallet. I'd refuse to have a man-purse!!
  16. ..............I might agree, however it seems that you left us a hell of a cliffhanger in 'Are You Christian' yourself!!
  17. .........Well true he has his circumnavigation and you have you're Mountie!!
  18. ............Ok, I'll bite what happens when you hit on a Mountie? (Do you get mounted?)
  19. ......The low sail mast and the water he will not be able to expel due to upcoming conditions will keep him low in the water, he is unlikely to capsize because of it. The wind will punish but push the boat in the direction he needs to go. The question is, will he still be able to eat and maintain his safety in the journey in what surely will be one with little sleep and great upheavals. I foresee at least one trip into the drink along this voyage, maybe he can find some respite in one of the remaining cabins to get sleep and shelter during his long ordeal.
  20. ..........That made my day! Funny!!
  21. .............. Hmmm did Bridget sputter there! Nothing on Dirk and Jim. Looks like that Bridget and George want to up the ante by framing Lisa and Joel too early. I would not have guessed that Trevor would have added sails from the skull of the already ripped up boat to partake into the easterlies towards Australia (well maybe). Hopefully he can stay on the north end of those seas. Unless Graeme convinces him that the southern cross is correct as he stated before!! I'm glad that Lisa finally has some suspicions on Bridget, Trevor was not one to announce his sexuality, will other things finally click in her head? Or will she finally get that weird feeling about Bridget when she does a bit of time in the county jail to figure it out? It looks like Trevor is eastbound or bust towards Australia, will he escape the jaws of death? Or skirt them? Great chapter CJ!! P.S. Another thing has me puzzled here is that not only does Bridget confess that she is aware that Trevor is gay, but I don't beleive she she knew that they (Lisa & Joel) were aware that she knew of the canal bomb that was linked to Trevor. Big opps! especially if Gonazales questions them after the aborted planted drug bust..
  22. ............But yeah! Trevor made improvised sails that sailed south along the winds, Ali's boat was large and had no such advantage at traveling at the same speed as Trevor had. Trevor's boat was smaller and faster and with sails. Ali's is dead in the water, floating, I doubt they could meet at the speed between them given Trevor's mast. so how do the twain meet?
  23. ...........But what is wrong with that?????
  24. ........How the hell could Trevor turn the boat back around to the north? He is sail bound by the prevailing winds which last I saw were southerly. If he could redirect north towards Ali's boat why would he not just head back towards Reunion? Remember Trevor was sailing, Ali's boat was adrift, no way they could make up that much distance of 10 days or more. UNREAL interesting Idea though, revenge by Trevor!!!
