TL:dr: This chapter moved me. I read this more than twelve hours ago and I’ve ruminated all day. I knew I wanted to leave a comment to express my admiration and appreciation but everything sounded ridiculous in my head. My husband often asks “what are you reading?” I try to have a summary, a synopsis ready for him. This installment overwhelmed me in the best possible way. What would I say if asked? Well, hon, I’m reading a zombie apocalypse novel and today we lost Faith and gained Hope. Coolest thing? Everybody got their hair done! Then the comments blew up about self care. Self care. The guys were noisy, but, self care. I ruminated all day. This is so good. I’ve left too many words here when all I wanted to convey is that this was a deeply beautiful installment. Thank you.

The battle for Krinn seems to be over, and gods know that navy is wiped out, but I will continue to wonder about the broader war. The retrospective nature of this was wonderful and helpful. Talon nearly sent me for a tissue. Other than the physical absence of Meep this was fantastic, Bruh. Truly.

That’s at least eight questions dear Author. Lemme see … I’m excited to see you post a new installment because every single one has been a great read. Great writing. Only two trips to the dictionary today. A sincere thanks for that. Today I considered a river crossing. That’s how the story is coming along from where I sit. Engaging. Pacing. Hmm. Really good because it’s frustrating. I’m craving backstories but, at the same time, I trust they’re coming. Enthusiastic blind faith that you’ll untwist every knot you tie. I’d be remiss not to say that the time dedicated to the unlikely duo is carrying more weight, more chapters and it seems it should. Brad won’t end well? Unlikely Duo. Partners. Individuals. So much common pain. Bazz wouldn’t cop to loving chicken? Banana splits! Let’s talk beer money… These guys? Alone together. Best potential for healing each other. Wouldn’t mind seeing that. I think that answers Q7 or 8. They both deserve a win. Have I missed something about Brad? Brad’s family is an aside even if they were the first people we met. Wife and baby. Seems he’d sacrifice them. Beagle two and three. Not hating Brad at all but can his skills draw, draft a different end or not? Can he, will he? Shut the door. Open it wide?
