Now, now, not so quick to say no. It's just that the next time you'll ask a few more questions. How many? How long? Will they be responsible? Will you make sure they're responsible? And, once you're out to your roommates, are they cute? Unfortunately, a straight dude will say, "How the hell should I know?" whether he thinks they're cute or not. So the last question is optional. For me, cute takes care of a lot of sins. Yes, I know that's shallow. What can I say? Seriously though, whenever a man compromises his standards or terms, he gets pissed. He may get angry at the obvious source (the guests) but, in fact, he's mostly angry with himself for not saying or doing anything. Been there, done that. Feels really crappy. Conner Haha, right, ask questions. I'm totally on the same page on that shallow note. If they're my type of cute, I will let them get away with so much more. lol. But yeah, that's exactly how I've been feeling. You pretty much nailed it with that paragraph. I got so fed up this afternoon when I walked out and saw that despite CLEARLY asking that they at least keep the Living Room clean, it was a complete mess. So I called him right then and there, and told him "They have to be out by today. I think I have been more than lenient, but enough is enough. Clearly by the condition that you guys left the living room in, my wishes are not being respected, so I'm sorry, but I don't want them living here anymore. If they aren't gone, I will call the housing office and have them deal with this." He said "so they can't stay tonight?" to which I said no, so he said "Okay.. will you be there tonight? we'll talk then" I don't know what he thinks we're gonna talk about, but I sure as hell am not caving in again. Our tastes could not be any more different. I don't find this "Kasey Kahne" character attractive at ALL, and of the list you said shouldn't be on there at all, I think ALL of them (except for Bloom) should not only be on there, but be in the top five (maybe top ten for timberlake).

Oh, and I know I'm weird, but I think that John Cho is HOT. It's his personality, it's oddly cute in some weird way. And of course Leo should have stayed on the list.

I seriously cannot see how so many gay guys find Jake G to be SO hot. He's barely even average to me. In the top 5, the only one I find even slightly attractive is Gale Harold (But don't get me wrong, although the others do nothing for me, he's freaking HOT!) I've always had a soft spot for T.R. Knight. When I was younger, I thought Ryan Phillipe was the hottest thing ever, and he's still a cutie. I've never heard of John Barrowman before, but he looks like he's pretty hot too. That makes four out of ten that I would look twice if i saw them pass by. Brad Pitt at number 12?! What is this madness?! ARGH! Top 5 at LEAST. Mario Lopez, Ian Somerhalder, sometimes Justin Timberlake, Jamie Bamber, (I'm pretty much just going down the list.. if I don't find them all that attractive, I just skip over ) Wentworth Miller (why is he at number 26?!), TOM WELLING AT NUMBER 27?! haha, wow. He's probably my #1. Josh Duhamel, Randy Harrison (sorta), Jensen Ackles (sorta), Paul Walker (kinda), Ben McKenzie (probably in my top 10 ), Andy Roddick, Kevin Zegers... all the way at #70... he's tied for #1 for me... and that's it. The others really aren't worth mentioning.

So I had 'the talk' with the roommate. Kind of awkward. Little bit of background info: I just moved into what will be my apartment/dorm for the next year a month ago that I will be sharing with 3 other guys. One of them I know, but he isn't moving in until 2 weeks from now. Of the other two, only one has moved in, the other moving in in September. But yeah... he seemed nice enough, and since we both had our bedrooms to ourselves, it wasn't too bad. Then a couple days into it, he asked if it was alright if his friends stayed over for a bit. I assumed it would be only a few days, so I said yeah. Cut to me cleaning up after 8 people, being routinely disgusted, and never getting any sleep for the last month. Yeah, that bad. It's not that he's the problem, it's the friends. He seems considerate and nice, but a couple of his friends are the worst roommates ever, and they're not even supposed to be my roommates! Where do I begin? Ever had people who don't seem to understand the concept of flushing the toilet? I even told them about it, but they still managed to leave half of their... waste.. behind. One of the guys was sleeping on the couch, which none of us are supposed to be doing since it's considered a public area. That wouldn't be a problem if he hadn't changed it into his own personal bedroom, clutter and all. Did I mention that they got caught with an illegal bb gun, trying to shoot bunnies? Yeah. And they smoke, but I REFUSED to let them do it inside. I made it very clear that they have to do it outside. Yep, they complied. That's why I can never leave the window open. But the worst part of all is the kitchen. They cook. They don't clean up. That is disgusting! I told my roommate that the kitchen has to remain clean, that's just one of the things I want. On multiple occasions they don't clean it up until two or three days later. Seriously, that's just gross. I don't see why it's so hard to clean it up after you leave the area. I do it all the time when my friends come over. The kitchen is always spotless when I leave. Hell, I even cleaned up after them the first time they did it! They still didn't get the idea, though. Oh, and they help themselves to anything in the fridge. My roommate always tells me though, and apologizes on their behalf and pays me what they took. I get that it's not him doing it, but they are his guests. I haven't been able to tell him that I don't want them living here anymore. That was until yesterday, when I came home from work. I had to use the bathroom, but it looked like it was occupied. I waited like 15 minutes, and there was still no sound. So I knocked on the door... no response. I decided to wait another 10 minutes, just in case. Then I knocked again, still nothing. I tried to open it slowly, but it was locked. So i went back to my room and waited like half an hour. When it was finally free, I go in, and I'm not in there for more than 5 seconds when someone starts repeatedly knocking on the door. I almost lost it. First of all, they are in MY apartment, using MY resources without paying. I am being patient with them and they start getting an attitude? So I just talked to my roommate, and let him know that I was fed up. I told him that I had assumed it was going to be a couple days, not more than a month. I didn't see this coming though: He's moving out in a couple of weeks. Apparently he lives nearby, and decided it was dumb to spend money to live here when he lives so close. On one hand, it kinda sucks cause he was a pretty nice guy. On the other hand, though, his friends annoy the eff out of me, so YAY. As of now, I'm going to suck it up for a couple more days. If they so much as glare at me though, I'm reporting them. (The policy is that you can only have one guest at a time for a 3 day span sleep over in a 2 week period. All other house mates must approve.) But yeah, that's my ridiculously long rant about my living situation. Until next time, that's the way the cookie crumbles. :pickaxe:

Hey Kevin! Yeah, for sure he's gay. I told my friend (who happens to be the manager) that I thought he was really cute, and she told me that he was gay and didn't have a boyfriend. That's pretty much what she does--when i first started working therem she kept asking me questions surrounding that. Are you and Kirstie an item? Have you guys ever dated? Do You have a girlfriend... or boyfriend? lol and that was after only like 20 minutes. She's great, though. I'm hoping it'll happen. I work on Saturday, so fingers crossed that he works too! I haven't seen the guy I have the hugest crush on in over a month. Whenever I see my work schedule, it's always frustrating because he works the day before and after I happen to work. Grr! Today, my friend Tammy and I felt like going shopping, so we decided to go into Express. We found some really cool tops for her and went over to the guy's section to look at some graphic tees. Out of nowhere, Josh comes up and starts talking to me! Holy eff.. lol I was so not prepared for that. We had pretty much walked around the store, and I hadn't seen him. Anyway.. I was a stumbling mess, and he was saying how he hadn't seen me in a while. Pretty much, I kept kicking myself after everything I said for not being witty and funny. But yeah, so I ended up ending the conversation by turning away and looking at other stuff. I had told Tammy about how HOT I thought he was months ago, and she was surprised to see that i was right. He's hot in an adorable type of way. I think he's about my height, maybe a little bit shorter. Blond. Cute. Really amazing smile. But yeah, so I bought some really cool shirts, one which I especially can't wait to wear! I went to the back to check out at the cash register, and he was there but his back was facing me so I couldn't really see him. He went to help someone in the front, and on my way out, Tammy was pushing me to go by and say bye. He looked busy, so I didn't. We get outside, and then Tammy starts. :wacko: She thinks he was totally interested and was trying to start conversation with me. I mean yeah, he didn't have to come talk to me since I wasn't even in his zone. I'm a little hesitant, because I'm completely gaga over him, so I don't want to misinterpret anything. But yeah, she said I came off aloof and not very interested (which is exactly how I act around guys I really like). Apparently, he seemed nervous but attempting to keep the conversation going, and at the cash wrap he was trying really hard not to look at me. Personally, I hope she's right. He gives me butterflies. And he's so nice! The only thing is, I really don't even know how to talk to him more, let alone get around and date the guy. I mean, we hardly ever even see each other at work! I would totally date him in an instant though, even over that stupid little pact. I got her permission though, so it's fine. I have a midterm I should be studying for for tomorrow. This doesn't have to do with the last Harry Potter book, so it doesn't really belong here, but I'm going to post it here anyway. I saw the Harry Potter movie that just came out, and I actually really liked it! I'm probably the only person who thinks Ron is INCREDIBLY hot, but whatevs. I totally dig the sweet/dorky guys. I never really got into the whole frenzy with HP, but now I'm intrigued. I've read the first two books, and thought they were okay. I think I'm going to keep going.

Wow. You know, I really enjoyed reading that. First, I really like how you write. Your flow and style is quite interesting, even if it is just your blog. But more to the point, it made me think of my relationships with a handful of my friends in particular. The way you feel about your friends sounds a lot like how I feel about them, and I'm terrified of losing them, so I have an inkling of what you're going through. Where are they moving to? I wish I could console you in some way, but I'm not sure anyone could say anything to make me feel better if I were in your situation. If you need some candy or a stuffed animal to make you feel better... well, you would have to go buy them. But I can be counted on a shameless compliment if you need it! That always cheers me up. I was totally there! Only not really, I was in Irvine with my friend Kirstie, but we did the SAME thing. Only we didn't so much forget the rules as we just never knew them. It didn't stop us though! The wall did get a one-up on us though, I took one right to the face. It didn't hurt so much as it shook me up, lol. Anyhoo, I hope you feel better.
