    The list of possible blackmailers is growing longer after this chapter. This could become a growing trend, when they start playing games within a Republican USA Senate race. Mark and Louie will have very many eyes upon them as this ploy continues to become a grand game of "hide and seek". Failure would become a certain, if the GOP (Grand Old Party) suspects Mark is gay. Blackmail possibilities will also continue to skyrocket, as Mark and Louie get deeper involved in this deception of their relationship.

    The Barron has made his decision. Now they await the reaction of King John, and his actions against them. Will they be able to remain strong, and able to honor their Barron's vow? What will be the cost paid by Thornmere and its people? The tension builds even more. 😟 Only time shall reveal the true strength of Thornmere.

    True. Outside our 3 very major urban areas, high school programs are very rare. Probably not many too many high school teams are even in those, then what one might expect. Private companies are just now starting to implement local youth programs, but we seem to be way behind our neighboring states.

    I loved that the whole family received a HEA ending. I also learned quite a few things about the sport of hockey which was helpful. Due to limited resources and lack of ice arenas, there are very few high school programs in my Midwestern state. A "tip of the hat" also should go to Luca's parents, who stepped up when Darren needed it most!

    A very erotic start to this story, but the title "Blackmail" raises suspicion of where it might might come from? I feel like much more needs to be known before we lay that title solely onto Louie. I want see what @chris191070 is holding up his sleeve, before I assume Louie to be the perpetrator of that act. Time will tell, as our author reveals what is now hidden in the details of the rest of his tale. Until then, I guess we will have to put up with just lust.

    "My comment is not personal to the commenter but it does draw attention to the not-inconsiderable bias toward ageism generally in the world. 'We may be older than some of you younger individuals, but that does not preclude the understanding of simple questions. Nor do complex ideas and/or algorithms generally exempt us from participation in this community. Get a grip youngling's! " I am well into my seventies and admit to being confused by many tech changes, It is good that someone much older and wiser is here to look after us younger members. 😇 Thanks for your very helpful input.

    A little warning before this change would have been helpful. I had no idea what was going on when I logged in? I thought I would that I would never be able to access my story page. That may explain the very high Action/Adventure counts. I just kept pressing buttons till it would let me proceed past this block. Perhaps other older members also did not understand what this was all about? I entered 3 nones and used Everything for my favorite, but "it is what it is". I'm still toying with my settings.

    The Magna Carta has stirred King John's ire and Kaylen's new appointment has become much more difficult. It is up to him to make sure that Thornmere is well prepared to react to any possible attack. There will be many details to get Thornmere secure and its forces ready for battle. We now realize why his Uncle the Barron needed him, and declared him to be his heir. I love the comments, and this story.

    With Kaylen's title restored, so have been his duties to ensure proper management of Thornmere"s resources, and ensure the stability of its future. His first duty will be for them to fully access what state Thornmere is in now. A proper first hand review is what is needed. He and his squires need to be seen by its people and understand that watchful eyes are on all of this lands strengths and its frailties. There is much to be learned and fully understood by this needed inspection trip.

    Steady duty and hard work with quiet respect earned the attention of the manor, and the Barron. The squires are beginning to fit into the manor's daily routine. They will continue to learn the lessons of service and duty while under the very watchful eyes of many. The process of acceptance has begun, with many lessons and tests yet ahead of them. Kaylen shows his confidence and pride with his two young squires❣️

    Another excellent, and well written chapter to this story @Albert1434. Kaylen is teaching his squires the way of this world. and what will be expected of them, as they grow into their new roles. The bond to him, and to each other will continue to grow much stronger, but under very many watchful eyes!

    Tension, drama,and uncertainty has returned to the story, with Darren's father's estranged relatives and Donovan's return to school causing complications. How will the video be judged by viewers? I guess we will have to just wait. and see how this all turns out in @Lee Wilson's future chapters.

    An excellent chapter showing the power of the church, and Kaylen's efforts to protect his honor, by using the church's own teachings. By showing mercy he enhanced his own standing in front of all who had witnessed the scene, or will hear of his actions.

    Kaylen teaches his squires from many years of his own learned lessons, and hard earned wisdom. Perhaps memories of him and his deceased lover, can be seen in his important teachings? The bonding of all three of them is of utmost importance in their lessons. 🤔 "One for all, and All for one", crossed my mind. Excellent chapter, well done!

    Just by reading your posts over time, and knowing how hard you work and your energy level, I have little doubt you are well prepared to fight "mother nature". We have candles, health problems, and rely on a steady source of power. If that fails for long periods of time, we will be just S**t Outta Luck, like most of our other elderly neighbors. According to our extended weather forecast, this is just our first storm front, with more to follow. 😟

    We are learning more about Kaylen's duties, responsibility, and training at the keep. He carries a heavy weight upon his shoulders, along with his fellow knights. Being well prepared for the next battle seems to be a constant in the thoughts for all in the realm of the castle. We are starting to understand more about this complex knight, and the times in which he lives. Well done!
