Flip-Flop

Two weeks back from London, and the only family contact we have heard about was finding his underage son, and his boyfriend Justin drinking at the gay bar? Keeping a low profile might become a bit more difficult with Rick, Simon. and the "boys" partying at his house. Just why doesn't his ex-wife expect Ben home on Friday nights, and does she know about Benjamin being gay? I guess we will have to wait to see how things develop from here. Martin needs to figure out what his own sexual preferences are, sooner or later. He would make a great catch being anyone's boyfriend!

Odd? This is just what Lonnie needed to hear about, at his casual first dinner encounter with Ty, right? I have a wild guess about the problem, that Ty thinks Lonnie could help him to resolve. It involves some conditions that Ty's father may have set in the will, in order for Ty to gain complete control over his families holdings. He must be married to accomplish those conditions. Meanwhile back to where @Mikiesboy left us hanging.... Could acting out of impulse, be a shared condition with these two men? This could really jerk around with Leo's reactions to such thoughts. The price of battle lingered, as Thornmere's people struggled with the costs paid (regardless of their social status) that now weighed heavy upon the shoulders of all. Kaylen spoke, and spent time with all of the suffering and wounded combatants. He showed his heart, and tried to comfort to all who were in dire need of hearing his words. He also spent his words of learned wisdom with his very devoted young Squires; Ronan and Tomas then shared their honest vows of love, and strengthened the bonds that they shared with each other. Each adding their very own strong points, to a joint lifetime together.

All the excellent comments above reflect the concerns we all feel about Lonnie's current mixed mindset, and his understandable feelings of anxiety and stress. Keve seems to be in a similar position at this time, in his own feelings as how to proceed forward. They both are facing their very own feelings of grief. Time will show how this may turn out. Meanwhile, we will just need to wait, to see if anything could be possible with them getting together. Emotions are running high on all fronts, in this chapter. Stacy offered Lonnie some helpful things to consider, as he thinks of ways to proceed forward with his life.

Perhaps he did, realizing Thornmere's marsh's would be the best choke point to stop the Scot's advance, but is holding his armies in await, not wanting to place any further stress upon Thornmere's limited resources?????

This chapter reveals the harsh facts that the fierce battle with the Scot's, and the affects and burdens it has placed upon the shoulders of its warriors, and its people. The visit by King John in addition to the warning from the spirit, leaves great doubt about Thornmere's uncertain future. What vital roles will Kaylen, Ronan and Tomas play, in going forward from here? Will the King, along with his forces, be willing to stand with Thornmere? This was a powerful well written chapter, that leaves the reader with many questions about what the future may hold? The suspense is palpable and growing: very well done @Albert1434!

I loved meeting Lon's mom and dad. I was a bit shocked when he decided to seemingly jumped into a new coffee shop project, but it may very well turn out to be the best thing for him in the longer run. Leo's passing was a great shock, and his deep grief and guilt felt about moving on with his life, was a very natural human reaction. We all understand that any recovery from Leo's passing will be a process, and will take time. Reconnecting to others in his life will hopefully help him to make much more positive adjustments. They could aid with getting his thoughts and feelings in order, to deal with the new reality of a life, without Leo being physically in it. Yes, Leo will always remain with him in his thoughts and feelings. There are some hints that he is starting to think about making some changes in regards to his future. Accepting the support from his friends and loved ones, could prove to be very helpful to him right now. The hook to this story has been set, and has caught me happily and completely. Very well done and expressed in this chapter @Mikiesboy!

Peter was a scrawny underdeveloped nerd who surprisingly blossomed into a very dreamy hunk of a man. A sweet look into his finding the perfect partner (Carter), and also a great gay boss (Charlie), only months into his first job in the Big Apple. Peter Rabbit is now living the life of his dreams! A fun read, to start my day!

All the ingredients for more drama have been brought back home with Martin, and now we will be able to see the reaction of to his London life-changing experiences. How will this change affect his current life relationships? How might this news be received by his family and others, that are important to him? It could be a "bowl of cherries" type of life, but it might also contain many new unexpected "cherry pits" for him to deal with. I am looking forward to much more of this story, and anxious to learn how this stew of changes will be stirred by others, in our future chapters❣️

This chapter has grabbed my attention, and stirred my emotions. Many times grief and guilt seem to travel together with the loss of a very close loved one. Ghosts was tagged in the story listing, so I expect we will continue to hear more from Leo. Looking forward to more of your story❣️

Kaylen's young squires have developed into essential leaders of their fellow defenders of the marshes, and the keep. Each adds his own strengths to inspire, and gain the respect of their fellow men, during these very intense times. The keep was able to resist the Scots, but also paid a great price to hold strong and united. Tomas and Rohan's love endured, and grew stronger during these fierce battles. The visit to London is passing quickly, and Martin seems to have made some rapid decisions to his newly discovered cash rich father, and family. How will this affect his relationships with his "back home" family? What is in that large pile of legal papers that he just signed? What turmoil may our trained psychologist now face as a result? I could assume quite a few, but this is only the very beginning of @Paladin's intriguing tale. I'm expecting it to be full of future surprises. 😇

Unity and cunning will be essential to Thornere's survival. Let the two kings have their war, but Thornmere must remain strong and united to deal with the the battles victor. That will be their most important vow. during these very intense times. Yes this chapter expressed the wisdom in all of these important decisions. Well done Albert!

Thanks, I'm glad to hear this. My mind is spinning already trying to put all the various pieces of this puzzle into a better understanding, of what has been presented of date. Like Martin, this will take a while to process. Having Simon to help him understand all the moving pieces will be essential in making any decisions in this life changing process. Looking forward to what, his new extended family gathering may reveal. One thing we have learned so far, is that Bert has been a very patient father in his waiting and planing these many years, before the conditions of his agreement have been met. It is also very interesting to hear what others foresee about how his ex-wife Natasha, will react to his new sudden wealth.

The feelings of tension over King John's reactions of the missing group of knights grows within the silence of the keep and in the minds of the readers. Another excellent chapter that revealed the many unspoken truths of Kaylen and of his lost love.,,,

Another happy ending, and you seem to be "on a roll" of these right now. Not a word about the usual social media hate mongers. This was an unexpected choice of interests, but gave us something special to think about. 😀 Well done!

The Barron has shown his faith and respect in Ronan and Tomas's actions and care of Thornmere's people. Kaylen and the men of the fen have shown that there was a human, not silver price to pay, in King John's violations against the village and people of Elmsward. Thornmere's fate relies on King John's reaction that the crossing of the marsh may hold for his forces. What burdens now await Thornmere and its people, as a result of Kaylen's actions? A justifiable nervousness is felt by all, for good reasons.

A great chapter about Michael's swimming events, and their duo interview with ESPN was also very interesting!

So far all we know for certain halfway into your tale, is that we have a cast of very complex character backgrounds, and motives. Surely more surprises await us and them! Well done.

Tomas and Ronan held strong during the attack of Elmsward and led its survivors to the keep. They had gained the respect of the people and the Barron for their actions. The boys spoke very wisely from their hard learned experience from this war, that was soon coming towards the keeps gates. They had kept their vows to the best of their ability for Thornmere.
