First and foremost I wanted to thank you for writing this story, on the topic of loss specifically. Your flow is very very good. The decision to start the story after Robbie’s mom’s passing was well done and kept me curious in the initial buildup to this chapter. That made it hard to put it down. Having been through close losses similarly, it made Robbie very relatable. Instantly I felt like I was him. Maybe it was my trauma too. Maybe it was your skill. Both? Probably. Anyway. Kudos. I think the relationship up to this point between Robbie and Tom is something I wish I had at that age. It’s clear as day they love each other and care deeply. Building that into the story is hard to do but it felt real at least to me. I wish I had that kind of relationship when I was their age. I look forward to the rest.

You’re spot on with Roid Rage Ron. You’re not the only one but if I’m honest, I’ll admit I got a tad um… distracted towards the end of the chapter and um i kinda forgot about all that…☺️ . Then there’s the whole kinda cliched scene while shopping. It’s the cliched ambiance that makes it funny in a cute sort of way.

Bravo for Nick to recognize how much he loves Dave. And to also recognize Matt means well. I feel like Matt was a bit shifty in making a pass at Nick though especially after knowing Nick and Dave were together.

Wonderful story. I’m well hooked now and seeing as it’s been a long while since there was an update I’m kind of wondering what the future looks like for Daniel. Any chance there’s an update in the works?

This was a very poignant chapter. Loz owing his mistakes spoke volumes about him. I called him a narcissist in previous chapter comments. I’m ready to amend that but I am still not entirely convinced he wouldn’t repeat his predatory behavior if he was given the chance. We will see because something tells me he will get the chance. The scene between him and his father was very well written

This was a good chapter. But ppl missed it. This is exactly what narcissists do. They react very over the top and often violently. Very deflective. Loz acted out of jealousy and possessiveness towards that Snapchat. A narcissist acts that way. They’re unpredictable in that sense. Unfortunately getting help is very very difficult because they’re sooo good at making themselves appear the victim or hero, depending on which suits them. They convince themselves they’re right and their behavior is logical. Sometimes they have moments of lucidity like where Liz deleted the pic etc. is h re a true narc? Hard to say as there are varying levels but looks it to me.

As for the story so far, I found it kind of odd that Patrick and his fools showed. I guess they were invited. Things are gonna be interesting come Monday morning at school. I’m proud of Michael for stepping out to Danny. I’m proud of Danny for doing so too. The nebulous of friends Michael has that are supportive of Danny as well as Michael’s sister are what are HUGE towards healing from trauma. Learning how to crawl out of one’s own hell in their head, what they’ve only ever known is absolutely terrifying.

C-ptsd gets little recognition for the debilitating disorder it is. It’s much worse than PTSD. I have it. I’ve had yrs of therapy and was very lucky to get a very experienced therapist. It can be healed from but it is not easy. But that’s just it..it doesn’t have to be a life long diagnosis. Therapists are learn much more productive and effective ways on how to handle it now. The constant challenge will and always be getting the afflicted to allow themselves the very difficult starting process towards healing. Many are too scared and adverse to it and suicide is a much more easy out option to many.

Yes indeed now Daniel is in danger and he IS trying to survive. But he is blind to how much danger he really is in. Loz is dangerous and at this point Daniel needs avoid him at all costs

Daniel’s reaction and behavior after the abuse (handjob) is very typical of abuse especially of an insecure teen. I know because I was raped and controlled by an older teen narcissist very similar to this story. I behaved just. Like. Daniel. His behavior after the bite and second rape is MUCH more accurate to how an abused teen behaves. The scarf is significant because not only is it hiding the bite but asserting Daniel as Loz’s property as the scarf is his and mentally it’s really fucking with how Daniel views himself. People except the author really don’t understand how someone can allow themselves to be raped twice. This is how. It’s narcissistic abuse with a sexual bent. Mentally Loz is working to completely control Daniel. It is interesting how the author portrays Loz’s struggle and guilt and denial after the fact as he comes to terms with himself. It posses a different angle to the story but how one can side with him is mind boggling to me. There is clearly a lack of moral fortitude in Loz. Just like narcissists. They simply do not see their behaviors wrong. In fact they justify it. Daniel needs therapy at this point as well as Michael’s support. It’s high time the authorities got involved too. Coaxing Daniel to talk won’t be easy but I believe Michael will help him there.

I find it interesting how it wasn’t immediately clear Loz raped Daniel until this chapter. Sure we all could have our suspicions but only Loz’s thoughts really admitted it. The teacher’s comments seemed out of place. Like, he flat out called him a bully but that’s it and let him leave ..as in he doesn’t know about the rape. I’m sure it’ll all become clearer down the road

Unfortunately I can relate to Daniel with Loz. What happened to me is similar but more drawn out and over a year. The author is right that Daniel was coping poorly trying to justify his abuse. Very poorly but it’s all he had. Michael is a Godsend and I’m happy to see he’s finally taking charge a bit now in a sense. I think both of them Michael and Daniel needed this day to happen. I hope Daniel realizes how lucky he is to have Michael. Thorne you are a gifted writer. I know this story has been on here for a while but I’ve only been a member here for a little over a year. I look forward to more of your works. cheers.

At this point intervention is needed for Daniel because with Jason and HIS antics plus the lack of a strong parental support, PLUS Luz’s behavior .. Daniel doesn’t have any type support to lean on . He doesn’t even know it yet and when he realizes it …
