I've never done Uber. I can't even remember last time I took a cab - out here in the country that's hardly an option. I wonder what I've missed - but then, I'm a man of the 20th century, not the 21st. I guess, @Jeff Burton, this is a long, round-about way of "voting" for you to construct a mini-series. This is a world of which I know precious little.

Indeed! An exceptional beginning to what should prove to be an amazing tale. As someone who has lived on both sides of the Channel for extended periods of time, I was immediately drawn to the setting as well as to the characters. I've also had a long-time fondness for the chateau country, and found myself transported - just what I needed for some reason this day. Can't wait to read more!

I had a "Joey" once. In a way, I still do, though we now live on separate continents. I'd like to think I was better behaved than Will, but something tells me that, well, I could have behaved better than I did. In a way, I'm surprised that my Joey still puts up with me - but it's easy at this distance. In any case, I'm looking forward to more 🙂

Oddly, a few things are beginning to make an increasing amount of sense to me. Was I dense before? Maybe I wasn't paying full attention? My idea of who are bad guys and who are good guys is increasingly confused. If this is purposeful on the part of @ThePhallocrat, hats off to him! There are still a number of Mysteries to my feeble mind: Why does Joren believe he is not a good man? How has Calder come to suffer his fate? Whence cometh Mouse / Ammon? Will the entitled and immature Prince finally grow up? Will the Gods save him and Kent? The mind boggles! Intriguing tale, this is!

Why am I not surprised LOL. I don't recall this particular ABBA offering from my university days - and I don't recall ever having seen many of the pictures, especially at the beginning of the video, when they were just kids. Thanks @Summerabbacat for giving us a soundtrack to a fav author of mine, @Mark Ponyboy Peters, whom I have "known" since my days of haunting Awesomedude.

Wasn't Ms. Minogue on a Dr. Who series, serving cocktails on the intergalactic Titanic or some such? David Tennant was involved, was he not? We now have David in the States with an American accent on Grace point or something like that. Sorry to be wandering off, but I find David so much more, um, compelling than Kylie. In any case it's good to "see" you again @Summerabbacat !

A man can only do so much in the time allotted to him. Choices need to be made, and one can only hope that Michael and David are keeping their eyes on the Prize, however they would define it.

In an odd way, talking to Andre first would be a logical step for Michael to take due to a third party (David) having seen the picture of Michael kissing him. That would be tantamount to Andre being outted, though we don't know whether Andre was already out-and-proud. In any case, out of courtesy Michael should tell him, no matter how "complicated" it all is.

Yes, I know Michael messed up royally. But even as I was reading about his entanglements and downfall, I was not entirely unsympathetic to his plight. I am happy to start reading about how he manages subsequent to his colossal failings. Very few of us are beyond redemption. Let's see if he can pull a rabbit out of his hat.
