Why do I feel so devastated? I've never experienced anything like what Adam is going through. Maybe that's the mark of what a story should be like - leading the reader into paths unknown but immediately recognizable. Stunning.

I don't know why this story is having such an impact on me. I don't think I've ever experienced anything like what Josh is going through. For some reason, I just keep thinking about my, um, Significant Other. Something about my emotional make-up, I guess.

Not being much of an author, I hesitate to comment - but I suspect writers are pretty much at the mercy of their Muse. Go with it! The results we have seen, here and in your previous work, are little short of amazing.

I'm totally breathless - and emotionally exhausted. Starting with "in the beginning" was a stroke of genius, though I now know that his "beginning" was actually something of a rebirth - if we're invested in extending the metaphor.
