Vaughn keeps hearing of unsettled financial matters concerning Heyward, but thie issues do not relate to what they are doing now. The tour of the art is very fascinating.

Eventually, they find the very gig deon who wass for help. He needs to find his way back and needs help to find his portal. He says if he goes back the goblins will leave also. They agree to help him, but as of now do not know who to ask. Cormac sneaks up on them, and they are worried he knows too much. They need some to to think. Does the former monk have an idea about a portal? Should they contact the witch who helped them? Is Nathan still in danger from his bites? Who can heal Nathan?

This felt real--the uncertainty,the messes, the too long waiting, the inconclusive surgery. etc It would not be uncommon for Manny to have more surgery. I can see Manny, Bass and Rocky bonding closer. This maybe the one good result of the shooting.
