Luther was puzzled.He learned much later what his destinty was Two final surprises?Luther and Richter had developed very close , fullfilling sexual relationship. So many mysteries-Gabe fought to save Ray and then seemingly lost him to a vampire . When the vampire became close enough, Ray surprised him. His smell, his blood captivated the vampire. Near death, the vampire asked for some drops of Ray's blood and Ray gave him some. The snowmobiler , Ray and Gabe drove away not seeing that after a while the vampire seemed to return to life. Who or what is Ray? Will the vampire search after him if he revives? Will Ray and Gabe reconnect and understand each other and become a couple strong enough to handle a vampire?

Pembroke smelled Ryder as a wolf. He used the burning fragrance on purpose to mask his scent and hide who he really was--a city wolf who was likely an alpha and maybe the head of his own pack. The fortune teller likely operates a fun scam, not threatening at all with probably the aim of making claims that needed payment to be fully revealed. Ryder's story to the guy is so outlandish that he could spot a deluded guy who is a mark for fleecing. Ryder is so trusting. He could be bilked out of all his money and be given very bad advice that would drive him back to Pembroke who will keep trying to kill him. If I were Pembroke. I would have the guy at the desk tell Ryder to meet him at a place out of sight where he would kill him and then dispose of his body.
