I don't remember where I found that, but I remember seeing that about 5% of patients are blast patients. More than she could possibly handle, but even the blast phase isn't a guaranteed death sentence. The survival rates go up every year.

Interesting. All the way through, 'Indian Reservation' by Paul Revere and the Raiders was going through my mind. Granted that was about the Cherokee, but many, if not all, Indigenous American tribes were forced to endure a lot of the same atrocities. We, as a species, have a terrible history in the treatment of others who are not seen to be "like us."
