  1. I'd have to think about which of my characters is a favorite. Might be too hard to pick one.
  2. That would be deserved, but alas, 'twas not meant to be. You're hear all three kid's stories, and a whole lot on Abel and Kathy.
  3. I wrote him well, I guess.
  4. I wouldn't say dyslexic, tired after two whole days being out on his own, and hungry, easy to confuse something like 32 and 52. Around here, a lot of addresses aren't 2 off from the previous
  5. Hi, I’m Nicholas Taft, but you can call me Nick. Everyone else does, except for my parents when they’re mad at me. That happens a lot, as you’ll soon find out. My story starts when I was four, mostly because I don’t remember much that happened before then. I’ll generally tell it like it’s happening right now, although this isn’t a diary or anything. I was four the first time I remember being punished. We lived in a house that used to belong to my grandparents before they died. That happened
  6. This story is a prequel and sequel to my previous story, ‘The Boy on the Porch.’ While that was mostly Brendan’s point of view, this will be from the members of the Taft family's perspectives. It will cover things that happened before Nick was kicked out of his house, hit the necessary high points of what was covered in the first story, then continue on with their later lives, expanding on their pieces of the epilogue contained therein. I initially envisioned it to be Nick's story, but quickly determined it would be fairly short, so they all get some attention.
  7. I hate spiders. No fear, just frigging hate walking through a web.
  8. He will, and the question does actually arrive, to some extent.
  9. I’d say they grew up on a horse ranch and were kicked in the head a few times, but that would be lying.
  10. That will be answered soon
  11. If you think they’re bad parents now…
  12. No, writing a different ending. It for sure would have been shorter.
  13. Very likely.

    Chapter 29

I wonder how many people reading this are confused just about the references to me, Prentiss, and Ned!
  15. Thanks. It would have been a bummer if they failed and I couldn't finish the story because I was blown up.
  16. Agreed. And the rest of us, decades.
  17. Talk about a Happily Ever After!!
  18. Hmmm, a sequel. The Evil Megrezian.

    Chapter 29

For sure. Prentiss had about three idle years before he was called home. Doing good things for the world could indeed include doing Ruby some harm.
  20. Thanks. Yes, powers like that in the hands of someone evil would not be a pretty sight.

    Chapter 29

Nice chapter. We knew the family would cause some trouble, hopefully Andre's final comment comes true. They weren't the only ones.
  22. If I ever win the lottery, animal shelters get a big piece. Thanks. My universal translator broke, but I think that's a good thing.
  23. Awesome. Appreciate it.
  24. Thanks. Branching out from my usual family life/slice of life stories felt good.
