I hear that. I know most, hell, almost all, of mine are serious. Maybe I'll try some more comedy in the future now that I know my sick sense of humor is appreciated by some, at least.

You’ve all heard, seen, or read one or more stories about a kid getting trapped in a well, right? But how many are told from the well’s point of view? None, right? I thought not. Well, apparently my fear was at least partially realized. I’ll keep going, but I’m not liking the direction this seems to be heading.

Perhaps it’s the pessimist in me, but I have a feeling the four boys are essentially being sent to their deaths. I haven’t read ‘The Lottery’ in forever, but I’m reminded of Stephen King’s ‘The Long Walk.’ 100 young men take part, only one can be alive at the end. Is this a non-violent ‘Purge?’
