    Great summary. Why? Just an odd coincidence. Not a huge spoiler so I'll mention it. It will come early in chapter 10. Lyons, et al. also take on pro-bono cases from the public defender's office. Mo just happened to be one of them. Like you said, amazing luck.

    Crossed fingers is exactly right. Although all Watson was in this case was the messenger. Okay, maybe he followed Bully's case, but he doesn't deserve too much credit. Interesting thought. Gotta think about some changes in a later chapter perhaps. Not sure how big a settlement he could wrangle, federal guidelines are $50k per year. I guess $18.75k for 4 1/2 months would not be rejected.

    He was: "Why am I getting out so soon?" "Williamson pleaded guilty to murder-two to avoid the needle." So, there was no trial. To be answered in chapter 9. Simple answers are yes, but exactly what forms, you'll have to wait until tomorrow. Chapter 10 will drop Monday.

    Fred was escorted back to his cell. It wasn't free time yet, so he just sat there in his cell, considering what the news meant. If he gets out in about three months, everything he'd gone through with Mo will be for naught. His thoughts ranged from simply having to get used to it, to what could he do to stay for fifteen more years.     As implied before, Fred's lawyer isn't the tastiest donut in the box, so Fred is SOL. I do like the points about damages. I think that will be brought up at a point in the future. Stockholm Syndrome? Maybe, maybe not. There will be a mess beneath the shoe racks, for sure.

    Apparently, the prosecution's explanation of unprotected sex within the past few days was believed by the jury, but Watson definitely fucked up there too. In the end, Fred will be OK.
