Knowing he wouldn't give his all, his supervisor agreed, handing the defense an immediate appeal. Interesting beginning. What I find amazing is the parallel to a portion of my story 'Rocked to the Core.' But best I can tell, looking at likes and comments for at least the beginning of the story, you didn't read it: Who's Jeremy? Have I been using my middle name, sort of? Where am I and why am I here? Who's this guy asking me questions? I have to admit though, he's way hot. Real tall, pretty well-defined body. God, dark brown eyes that just draw you in. Slightly too long dark brown hair. Clean shaven, or maybe just more of a boyish complexion. I'd be crazy to hope he was gay. Way too macho. Macho. Yeah, that's right. I came out to my parents, dad told me to 'get the fuck out of his house,' and smacked me in the side of my head. So, where the hell is he? And why, or how, do I have a beard? "I'm sorry. I'm a little, no, a lot, confused. I don't know who you are or why you're calling me Jeremy Berger. I kind of understand the Jeremy part. My name is Bryson Jeremiah Burlington. The last thing I remember was telling my parents I was gay, and my dad clocked me in the side of my head. This obviously isn't my house in Cleveland, Georgia. And I didn't have a beard, so it probably isn't March 2021 anymore." There's even a relapse of the amnesia where my character doesn't know he's gay. I am going to truly love this story; I can feel it in my bones.

Not being facetious. I don't recall ever hearing the term, although I pretty much immediately could guess what it meant. The NHL simply calls them advanced stats. NFL, if I've heard a corresponding, term, I don't remember it. I don't follow baseball any more than being able to name one player, and only because I looked who the best current Braves player was specifically for this story. Basketball, same thing, looking up a specific player (the tallest in the NBA, Bobovich or something like that), for a story. I can however, name dozens from many years ago for both baseball and basketball. I'll pass on being more specific about nifty, because most, if not all, of my stories there fall outside of GA's guidelines. Acronymic hints, LBDLL, and TGBOB are the two related. Color me surprised, acronymic didn't get a red squiggly line. Here I thought I was making up a word. Dang it.

And thank you. Would have been nothing wrong with making it longer, I just got to a point where I didn't really have any ideas to move it forward. A couple questions and a comment. 1. Why? Is Mahomes gay? Not a Chiefs fan, nor a fan of his. 2. Sabermetrics. That's measuring the size of sabertooth tiger teeth, right? Ain't they extinct? That'd be a pretty boring job. I know it's spelled differently. 3. I've often considered revisiting some of my previous characters. I did write one short sequel after closing out the story, on nifty. Cory and Roy are up there among the favorite characters I've created, so who knows?

Sunday Christmas dinner with the Stones was great. Now the best part of Christmas is happening. Cory's spending the night. It's not like that's unusual, but he said he had a special present for me.
