    After finishing up with Dad and Dominic, I called Jackson and asked if he was free the next night. He was. I told him I'd drop by around seven and we needed to talk. Tuesday Zach brought a copy of his dental bill. I had all the evidence I needed to confront Jackson properly. I liked Jackson a lot, so it was difficult to decide what to say.     Another excellent chapter @Mancunian. I will be sorry to see this one end. I still have loads of catching up on your stories to do. Work, writing, and reading take up a whole lot of time. Eh, who needs sleep? Loved the music choices for the Christmas show. But I have to add my favorite version of my favorite traditional Christmas song to the thread. I'm sure you'll all enjoy it, especially those of you on the east side of the pond, since it's a fellow Brit.

    If you want to hear the details, you’re going to have a long wait 😄 I’ve implied as much. If you’ve never heard Michael Crawford’s version, you’ve missed out on a good one. Christmas is past, but what the heck. I sincerely doubt alcohol will enter the picture. From chapter one: Three twelve-year-olds come tearing into the back yard thirty seconds later. They must have been playing outside. They stop at the fence.

    Friday The second Friday after school began was our first game. Most of the starting defense was on the kickoff team. We kicked off first, being the home team, we deferred to receive after halftime, so I was in right from the start. No return on the kick. Reaching the endzone near the middle of the field on the first kickoff was the best our kicker did all game. Their first play was a run to the right. Craig Mathis stopped it for a two-yard gain.     Well, in the original ending, the boys weren’t really there. Basically everything from chapter two until the end was Derek’s story while he was in the psych ward. But, I’m glad you liked this one.

    I appreciate the input. If I knew in advance that would be what I would do, I could have left hints. But very little of what I write is planned more than even one chapter ahead.
