The Aftermath, and In School
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in The Aftermath, and In School
The first wait was for the prosecutor. Maybe he was already nearby. Sometimes courthouses are adjacent to the police station. Correct: kid named Marks were at practice the next morning. He was the kicker -
I guess because two of the assholes signed complaints, I had to go through the whole process. Fingerprints, mug shots, handing over everything from my pockets. It’s a good thing I’d already sent mom the video. I wouldn’t be able to get to it, now that my phone is locked up. They took me to an Interview room; mom was already there. “Went through the whole booking process, I take it?” “Yeah, ma. I guess now we just wait?” “Yes. They’re probably waiting for a prosecutor. When they co

They just keep getting better and better. I wish I had more time to read more of your stuff @Mancunian, I’ll get to it for sure. One joking comment: The last member of staff that Michael was introduced to was Peter Chan. Like Michael, he was new, inexperienced and part-time. He was Chinese-British from Hong Kong and explained that he went by Peter as most non-Chinese people could not pronounce his given Chinese name. Be honest, it’s just because you didn’t know how to spell it, right? Oh, and happy new year to one and all!!!!

Playdate, and One More Crisis

Darn, I keep trying to find the tissue warning, but it keeps hiding somewhere else after I find it. -

Thanks for the details. I should have read your comment before responding myself. Derek and Jeremy have shown an immense amount of strength. If any young couple can handle more challenges, it’s them. P.S. My statement ‘the end is nigh’ in the notes for chapter 25 may have been premature. I will, however, hold off on any publishing of the next story I’m working on until two of the currently active ones are complete. Managing and posting three simultaneously has been more difficult than I imagined, for both all of you and for me. I’m not making that mistake again. I might even make that one a solo flight. I seem to be getting more and more interest as I go along. -

Yeah, I suppose it was fairly easy to guess where I was going to take Dennis’ character. Too young? Not necessarily: https://www.amputee-coalition.org/resources/prostheses-for-children/ -

Good for your dad. Thank him for his service as well. -
Thursday September 21 Adam came home from school today with Andy’s number and address. Needless to say, Adam bugged me to call right away. I called. “Hello?” “Mrs. Sheridan?” “Yes?” “Hi. This is Derek Arriens. You were at our condo just before school started.” “Oh, yes. Hello Derek. Call me Trish. I suppose you’re calling because the boys wanted a play date.” “Yes I am. I can bring Adam over after school tomorrow, if that’s OK?” “Are you free today? Andy i

The Dates, and Planning a Group Outing
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in The Dates, and Planning a Group Outing
I think many of my fringe characters could use professional help. Stepping up? In 3 2 1. Whenever I feel like it 🤐 -
Waking up the topic and shifting gears. Classic southern rock. Also recorded 50 years ago.

The Dates, and Planning a Group Outing
Lee Wilson posted new chapter in Before And After the Divorce
Saturday All day long, I'm nervous about tonight's date. It's just dinner, but when dad gets here, well, let's just say the nervousness raises a few notches. Then it almost completely disappears. "Ready for the big date?" "It's not a big date, dad. It's just dinner." "I'm sure you'll find something to do afterward." "I'm not even going to ask what you mean." "Didn't think you needed to. Don't worry about rushing home. I have sleepwear and a change of clothes for tom- 12 comments

Maybe reasonable would be better? Anyway, the ones in my stories are always some level of asshole. -

I thought about the prints, that’s why Roy took his shirt off to pick it up. I’ll be looking into possible penalties. Since I haven’t yet shared Stellars’ age, who knows? Maybe he was left back a year or two.- 19 comments

Lee Wilson posted new chapter in A Strange Start to a Friendship
The rest of Sunday went smoothly. Cory and I went back outside after about a half hour of heavy duty kissing. After we got outside, I reminded him about tryouts and practices. “So, the first tryout is tomorrow at 9 AM. Don’t take this the wrong way, but I’d rather you wait a day before coming with me. I don’t want to get nervous and screw up because you’re there.” “Yeah, I get it. I’ll be fine for a couple days.” “Just one. I plan on giving the coach no reason to cut me.” “Co- 19 comments

Not sure about karma, I just have a sore spot for prejudiced people. I can’t do much about it IRL, but here? Let em have it is my motto. No mercy. Anyone reading ‘Strange Start to a Friendship’ will be witnesses to another dose next chapter. -

Yeah, I was aware of the fruit vs. vegetable distinction. Fruits, vegetables, neither belong on a pizza. Actually, olives are a fruit as well, so I was doubly wrong. If you’re on the naughty list for one comment, I’m in deep shit. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours, and all my wonderful readers. -

Full disclosure, the piece quoted by the good doctor was mostly provided by him. It was just too good a line to ignore. -

I just had to go over the top with him. Very. Merry Christmas to you too. I might still get another chapter of divorce posted. No vegetable belongs on a pizza. Tomato sauce is enough.
