Hallo everybody, I’m new here and English is not my nativity language, so I apologize in advance for any spelling and grammar mistakes.
Anyway, I have to say that this is one of my favorite authors here at GA (“Knots” is one of my all-time favorites story which I reread and reread from time to time). Also, this story has captured me so far – Kyan is my favorite character, adorable and charming in all his imperfection. Perry is wonderful no doubt but I see a lot of myself in Kyan, so, maybe that’s why is he number one for me.
The problem I can see in their relationship is Kyan’s financial dependence. In every chapter (in this one particularly) we can see how bad is Kyan feeling regarding his financial position. They cannot stay together if they are not equal partners. Feelings are there – love and passion are there; family acceptance is there…even Max will not be a big problem. There might be some more drama but generally, everything will come on its place only this huge money discrepancy can make a damage on their relationship. Kyan should finish some school, he should find some job, and not just some…he should be successful, independent so he could burst self-confidence and self-respect. Kyan doesn’t want to be a mistress, no matter how harsh it might sound, and no matter Perry’s attentions are completely honorable. This will not be an easy road for both him and Perry. Perry might feel that there is no need for this, maybe some separation (just like between Nash and Penn) might be necessary so that both of them can grow up and end up in stronger and inseparable relationship.
