AMEN! What a chapter - a combination of lucidity, bitterness, irony, ignorance and some fine tone of sadness! Roman is not a stupid man not to understand what it is all about! Oh man... he's afraid! He's afraid what he felt that night... because he is a 'badass Latino', he doesn't do relationships, he doesn't do romance... There is one fear I understand - Roman doesn't want to be Consolation Price for Sam either! On the other hand, Roman really has a problem to express himself. 'You could call me in Club'?!?!!?!?!?!? I mean - Really?!?!? Do you want to humiliate me some more?!?!?! Lucky that Max was professional enough not to kick him between legs in that moment! Roman should really take a few lessons from Ben! Ha, funny thing, at one moment, even I forgot Adam was present in the ambulance! I've been thinking - where did he go?!

Bravo Jonah! Honesty is best policy! He hasn't handled the best embarrassment about vomiting over Will, but telling the truth about James is very mature for one teenager. His life is already complicated, avoiding lies and love triangle drama is best he can do!

What started as a local case, developed into state and federal case...and evolved, eventually, into the international case! Global evil that united the forces of police, justice system, FBA, military forces, Italian mafia, local civil militia, many good people...up to the Defense Secretary himself. And all started with one phone call... I think story is coming to its culmination leaving so many interesting characters and their stories to be told in other Lincoln universe stories! Now, I'm only speculating here but... could Mario Espinoza be Juan Ramos' father? 🤔 One suggestion... @empath you've mentioned possibility to publish List of Characters. You might do it in Prologue or as @lilansui in Blog and then put a link to it at the bottom of every chapter (I've recently reread her story 'The Reluctant Consort' and saw this solution for the list of characters).

My second read and I'm delighted as first time! Amazing, wonderful, beautiful... complex story of war, politic intrigues and love. I really hope you continue soon with Blades of Ashes @lilansui because you are master of epis fantasy genre!

Here are some GA recommendations: If you like soap opera style stories, with lie, betray, passion, characters coming from the 'death' to revenge and 'clean' their face... then, @vanalas is right choice for you. Oh, I like good revenge stories! Before I remember something from GA, I can recommend my all-time favorite classic: The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas!

All the naked men of @Robert Hugill's universe! Hm, who is going to join this charming little family 'naked butt' tea party?

This is absolutely the most wonderful chapter since the beginning of the story! I LOVED dirty dancing scene followed by hot and passionate sex in the car. Or... it's been love making... Ryan touched my heart deeply... boy that was 'never kissed before'. Kissing 'virgin' in desperate need for love. @JJ Quinn says in one of her stories for one of characters - 'closeted good guy'! That's what Ryan is in this story. A boy who brings a book, knowing how much it means to Caleb. That's declaration of love even before the scene in the car! Caleb is slowly becoming aware of his strength and power! But he's still afraid... it is all new and unexpected for him! His feelings are split between Nate and Ryan. Waking up that morning in the car, he's still afraid he is 'betraying' his feelings for Nate... not aware that he has enough love for both men! A look into the Nate's past gives us the answer where does the pain come from. Nate has made his life mission to love and protect his boy(s), with ultimate goal to make them able to protect themselves. @CasualWanderer82 you've masterfully hided Nate's character into rough... I dear to say cruel, mask at the beginning of the story. I couldn't see his complexity... Bravo @CasualWanderer82!

Oh, our boys are scared to death! They are like two balls in Pinball machine, hitting walls, clashing to each other and bouncing off during the entire chapter. Whatever the reason behind Nate's leaving might be, Ryan and Caleb have been brought to another level of this game. This level doesn't include Nate's physical presence. They are on they own now. Although insecure and confused in moments, boys started this level of the game rather good - they escaped the dungeon, run from the 'man in suits' and went to a quest for daddy! I'm so excited about this journey!!!

I've expected this chapter to be from Roman's POV, instead Max is back. Poor Max, Roman's sneaking out of the hotel room certainly didn't help Max's healing. Nevertheless, messing around your working place is never smart! We have saying in my country, something like - Don't shit around your neighborhood as you might step in! The same is with job! Jenet is more protective of Max than he's aware of it! Great start of a new story JJ!

Yes, as my GA friends have already mentioned, since the "Thanksgiving" story, we've been aware that Daniel's life ends in 1997. I feel sorry for the way he dies...but, as someone said, it's 1992! If there is any consolation, it is the fact that his legacy will outlive him for many years, and he is not going to die alone and abandoned.

And it finally happened! An explosion of emotions, love and worship shared in the most intimate, passionate and sensual way! Sexual act written in almost transcendental, out of this world, sensation. Complete surrender, submission and domination pushing both man to their limits. Stronger, older, man that dominates with his physical strength and younger, tender and soft almost as mystical being from the forest, that dominates with his inner strength and love. Nate's interaction with two boys is so strong but so different. They don't collide but complement each other! While Nate and Ryan 'were crawling into each other's souls and ripping out each other's pain', Caleb was 'a divine shrine from which the brightest light shined, the only thing strong enough to punch through Nate's darkness, forcing it to recoil and retreat.' While Nate and Ryan's relationship is fission, a strong, wild, rough energy that breaks pain into smaller pieces; Nate and Caleb's relationship is fusion, even stronger energy of love that brings pieces together forming a new, 'heavier' element! Which brings us to the third equation of this complex formula. Caleb and Ryan's relationship! And that's where is hidden the answer - why did Nate disappear in the dawn. He knew that with his presence, Caleb and Ryan have no chance for making that final step toward each other. Their focus would be on their rivalry and fighting for the Nate's affection, as kids for the same toy! Jealousy is making them blind for something Nate could see: "But I don't like him either," Caleb added, a certain fire cutting through his words. Nate chuckled, trying his best to stifle the sound. "What?" Caleb asked, his brows knitting together. "Are you sure about that?" Nate teased. The both boys need protection - without Nate on the scene, they are going to provide that protection for each other. Is Nate coming back? I don't know, maybe... Once that boys Man up, their daddy will be there to embrace them. Is it going to happen in this story only @CasualWanderer82 knows! 😉 Finally, I have to say that you hit every nerve in my body with this chapter! But your ability @CasualWanderer82 to transfer emotion and feeling from your words to your readers is nothing new! Then again, I'm left astonished every time!

My first thought has been - how great master of writing you are @Ronyx! How you colored the Lucas's character since beginning of the story, giving us picture that he is not 'just' another bully, making us search for 'something behind'. And here it is - Lucas is victim of domestic violence and rape. In his inability to defend himself from stronger predator, he fixated all the gay people as danger to the world and Neil, as only gay boy he knows (although never actually confirmed) is the main target of his 'holy crusade'. Lucas must be saved from the hell in order to cut the chain of violence and suffer. As for the other boys, it is proved that they were fooling around as many other horny teenagers...but I still think they are pussies! Three or four of them cannot step up for their friend...sorry boys, what's your excuse? Ok, at least they started talking about it! Finally - father. I think Neil just had an impulsive reaction. Too much is happening. They are going to be ok.

Business development is amazing, Michael and David are great partners. But this postponed their personal relationship and, also important, it postponed making amends with Sarah and children. Years are passing by...I hope it is not going to be too late. Only thing that might justify prolonging that moment is Michael's wish to show up as successful, independent and completely changed man.
