  1. Thank you, but I have to admit @Summerabbacat, that I am surprised by the amount of speculation this chapter has created.
  2. The easy answer is because I didn't go back and change it. I typed the whole title in upper case (TURMOIL). GA changed it to all lower case. As I'd already edited my mistakes in the story setup twice, I decided not to go for a third edit. So @Summerabbacat no significance at all. (No, I am not a follower of c c cummings in his rejection of upper case)
  3. As I have said this is a love story so eventually Martin will achieve peace and happiness, although not in the way he would have imagined.
  4. The popular speculation is that there is a family secret with Martin having a different father. Time will tell regarding that. If there was an inheritance then the father would also be dead. In that case who is the client and why the need to go to London?
  5. Now you understand the mental gymnastics we Aussies go through when we read stories set in North America.
  6. Thank you @Gary L.
  7. The title is just as much about Martin's future as the status quo.
  8. Ah, @Summerabbacat so much to unpick here, or maybe to reveal in the next chapter. Natasha will continue to play a peripheral but significant part in this story.
  9. The identity of the client is revealed in the next chapter, but that's not the end of Martin's journey.
  10. All will be revealed in the next chapter, an then the story really starts.
  11. The mystery client is revealed in the next chapter. A mother with secrets! maybe, maybe not.
  12. The adventure starts with revelations in the next chapter.
  13. “Bloody spam” Martin stared at the email. “Dear Martin, we are solicitors in London. We are acting on behalf of a client who has information which may be to your advantage. Please contact me on…….” Ignoring the rest of the message, Martin went on to the next more welcome email. His Sydney solicitor telling him his mother’s estate was progressing well and to make an appointment to sign some paperwork. He was just so pleased with the way, Simon, this warm, friendly and handsome solicitor

Martin is still feeling the effects of an acrimonious divorce and more recently the death of his mother. He receives an email that could be a scam. It triggers events that upend just about everything Martin believes about himself. His path forward is not going to be smooth. Can he navigate this new life to make friends, find love and reestablish a family?
  15. A trust is also a way of protecting money or valuables.

    Chapter 4

Peter and Jason had to share a room so they could share much more. Everyone around them sees the result as beneficial. It's all looking very good. "a quiet ahead of the storm" as @Topher Lydon commented above? What's coming?
  17. The play, The Importance of Being Earnest, turns out to be a tale where characters lie, adopt false identities, and engage in trickery. The irony is that in this case, it is "not being earnest" that leads to the happy, true-to-life ending. The delightful thing about this farce is the play on the word earnest. It is not so much about being earnest as having the name Earnest. It is only when Jack can prove to Gwendolen that his name really is Earnest that he 'wins' her.
  18. The word earnest always reminds me of the gay Oscar Wilde's wonderful farce, The Importance of Being Earnest.
  19. And the winner is? :Drum roll: Hallmark!
  20. As far as I can see Wes Craven's descendants have been craving fame, and to some extent succeeding.
  21. We always need to distinguish between craving and craven. I don't think anyone would be craving to be craven,
