Tonight Ryder is really finding his fated mate. Not at the top of the incense infused tower extravagantly occupied by Theodore but on the top of the moon lit tower modestly occupied by Danny. Ryder needs to accept that the cards are right and the fates are guiding him to be with the people he needs to fulfill his destiny to break the curse and protect the pack. Theodore needs to be dealt with. -
I love reading a chapter that is engaging without relying on dramatic action and events. This was just that. Thank you @Mark Ponyboy Peters. Reading out loud to someone is so different from reading silently to yourself. It forces you interpret what you are reading and to show that in your pace and intonation. I believe it can enhance understanding for both the listener and yourself. It can also be fun, especially if reading aloud to young children.

This chapter reminded me of the comment sometimes (but often true) made by musicians and other artists that it has taken a decade to become an overnight success. Here we get a hint of Tony as the writer in the world away from his Thompsonville cohort. That reminds me that we know little about Tim, Guy and Luke and their work away from Thompsonville. I hope we will get some insights there as well.

Aaron is getting there, but he still has a long way to go before he will feel totally comfortable and secure with Tony. His heart is already there. His emotional and psychological selves have to catch up. There is no doubt that Tony is moving back to T'ville to be with Aaron. The sooner the better. Being guest speaker can be a challenge, but I suspect this audience in a county town will be supportive.

According to my Macquarie Dictionary a colloquial use of scoff is to eat quickly and greedily. Seems we are looking at differences in use between American English, Australian English and possibly British English.

Yes @Philippe when the offenders are arrested there will be the cybercrime guys evidence but there will also need to be evidence from children. That is one of the difficult areas in child abuse prosecution.

The thing about the surfboard is that it has been "lost" so not many people would remember and identify it in Instagram. The bikies are a mystery at this stage.

Very thoughtful comments @Philippe. As others have commented, Daniel and Joshua both have their protectors. They are both concerned about a trap and have approached this meeting with, as you said, caution and distrust. Lets see how it plays out.

Thank you friend. Yes @empath by not rushing the police have been able to identify more offenders and victims. According to Patrick, they are going to raid premises and arrest offenders very soon. More on Josh and Daniel in the next chapter.
