cephalonomancy - Word of the Day - Wed Mar 12, 2025

It is also something I didn't know existed and that there is a word for it. Just proves that there are more things in heaven and earth than I have dreamt of. So much to still learn! -
supplication - Word of the Day - Tue Mar 11, 2025
Paladin commented on Myr's blog entry in Writing World
I am actually surprised that supplication is used so infrequently in the bible, considering that the bible consists of 66 books (73 for the catholic bible) and running to over 780k words of highly religious text. But, I'm pleased that I keep learning new things through this blog. -
I'm curious about how small an animal Devin can transition into allowing for the inserted plates. We know that since recovering from his accident he has transitioned into Bear but I can't remember what breed of dog Bear is. If he can't transition as small as a cat then maybe another bigger "wild' cat or a dog a bit smaller than Bear. Why do I keep reading about outrageously misbehaving fraternity students? Surely some of these fraternities behave responsibly and are serious about academic study. Just wondering. They certainly have a well set up base camp and supplies for their treasure hunt. Hopefully all will go well for them this time.

Matt and Emma have been lured into a trap, but what sort of trap? Obviously these men have sussed out that Matt and Emma are "overly" interested in the German history of the area but what else do they know or suspect? I am waiting to learn how this plays out for Matt and Emma and how they get through it. An excellent chapter that gradually led to a dramatic conclusion.

Well Jerry certainly got the low down on the high jinks and looks like fitting in very comfortably.

Thank you @empath. You are right that the opposition is still in the background, but the "forces for good" haven't assembled yet either and someone has to step up to start this battle. Then we'll find out what sort of battle it will be.

Yes @Summerabbacat how Vanessa and Adrian knew about the death of Adam and Josh’s parents is a good question and one to be answered in the next chapter. As for Adam having a breakdown, it is better to look at it more through the lens of Post Traumatic Stress. His way of coping with Adam being killed in front of him, and not having any closure through rituals such as a funeral, was to close it off from his life and bury himself in his studies. He cut himself off from Stingray Heads and had difficulty forming intimate relationships. People who knew about Adam stayed away from the subject and were surprised and concerned when Cameron started talking about them visiting Stingray heads. Jordan started having flash backs when he saw Josh carrying the board and surfing. Of course then Jordan, Cameron and Joshua were confronted with the trauma. I think in this modern world the police have their own very capable cyber crime people.

All true @chris191070

Yes @Flip-Flop the priority is Joshua's safety even if we don't yet know that his uncle and others are looking for for him. He is now surrounded by people who regard him as family and want to protect him. There is still a potential obstacle in the way.

I think @VBlew that is definitely something we all want. The issue will be making it happen.

I agree that Angelo sounds cute, but is he ticklish? Wait, that's a silly question because I know that above the cast entrance to these stories is a sign: Beware all ye who enter here, For tickles lurk in every line, With giggles written everywhere, And lots of love so you'll be fine.

Being reticent can also be a symptom of introversion. The Latin tacere is also the base for our word tacid, which like so many words trailed through French and then into 17th Century English.

Back in the house after their meal and the seagull invasion, Jordan suggested coffee or soft drink. They all opted for coffee. As they held their coffee mugs and sipped the coffee, Cameron queried, “Josh you’ve let us know the terrible things your uncle was doing and having you do. What happened that made you decide to run away to kill yourself?” “Cam, that’s easy. I could like cope with what they were doing to me. It was when they wanted me to do the same things to the young kids. I w

Back to Normal. But What Is Normal, Really?
Paladin commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Back to Normal. But What Is Normal, Really?
Well this dorm is an amazing mix of porn viewing gay, straight, maybe gay, maybe straight, and maybe bi boys along with a Dorm Monitor, Jim, who is more than just aware of what the boys are getting up to. Add to this mix Rod's best friend, the black son of a minister. Hmm anything could happen, and probably will. -
Sorry guys but the Principal isn't really interested in dealing with bullying. He has obviously latched on to Ms Sheldon's idea to make it look as if he is doing something about bullying in his school. If it works he takes the credit, if it fails, well it wasn't his idea. If he was serious he would have delved deeper into why he suspended Neil. He seems to accept that it is related to bullying but wants to excuse suspending Neil by saying “You also instigated the fight,” insisted Mr. Bowers. “Your actions precipitated the events that later occurred. Do you understand the difference?” No question about how that related to bullying. Yes a school can have a "no tolerance" approach to fighting but at least find out what the fight was about. If you look at the cause of the fight, were Neil's actions what really precipitated the later events and did Neil really instigate the fight? Or is the Principal just covering his own arse? The student ambassadors are going to need significant support from the Principal and Deputy Principal if this is going to be successful. The boys really do need to talk to some responsible adults. Ned's dad would be a good starting point. If they intend to warn Neil then also tell Neil's parents.

As I write a cyclone is closing in on Brisbane, Queensland. Today I sought solace by contacting friends who will be impacted and checking on their preparedness and welfare.

Hot sex is certainly a way of getting close to each other. In this case a first for both of them: raw and safe. Almost like they were both virgins. So Hearst aka cottontail has been researching Jamie's past and it has something to do with the Mitches and something that happened somewhere in the country. A mystery worthy of a detective inspector but not something that has turned Hearst off Jamie. Hmm

A fun chapter but I thought they were getting ready to go treasure hunting rather than going back to their families.

There is a resort in Cebu City called Dante's Peak and from the photos it seems to be on a mountain peak of some sort.

A great chapter and thanks for the tissue warning. However, with GA I've found it advisable to have a pack nearby whenever I start reading. I feel there is more to come regarding Rod and DM. I'm waiting keenly to find out.

I'm sure @Philippe that you are not the only reader to see a crossover. I am not capable of picking up @empath's excellent story and continuing it. Ironically I was planning and mapping out this story just before @empath started posting Kept Boy to Made Man and immediately saw the similarities in the stories. I even contacted @empath and discussed it. The stories are actually very different: different time, different country and different type of abuse. I hope you stay and enjoy the story.

Thank you for commenting @Daddydavek, internet child porn is a major problem world wide because internet makes it easily internationally accessible. Surprisingly, it can be very suburban. Adam was not caught up in the pornography. It started after his and his parents' deaths. Josh and another brother, Daniel, were caught up in it.

Dinner with Rod and Continued Improvement
Paladin commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Dinner with Rod and Continued Improvement
Times sure have changed @Lee Wilson. That quote comes from a presentation given over 40 years ago. It does come down to what you acknowledge to be a "sex life". Domenico and his friends enjoying a circle jerk is part of their sex life while still being "virgins". So is masturbation, especially with fantasy. Looking at, reading and watching porn is part of a sex life. Our sex life is usually more than just having penetrative sex. Safe, consensual and healthy are the key concepts. -
Dinner with Rod and Continued Improvement

I will also admit that I have concerns about sex scenes involving young people. I am well aware that people can be and are sexually active from a young age. The age question is interesting. In Australia the age of consent for having sex with someone else is 16 for both heterosexual sex and homosexual sex, so I am comfortable with stories involving people 16 and over having consensual sex. Australia has also adopted the Romeo and Juliet rule that acknowledges consensual sex between young people of similar age. I do have problems with stories involving sex between adults and minors where there is a wide age gap. I understand and accept readers in other jurisdictions having different views on this. I'll leave you with this thought. Years ago when I was researching sexuality I listened to a presentation by an American sex educator. One of his comments was: "If you are asking if your 16 year old son is having a sex life, you are asking the wrong question. The question should be, what sort of sex life is your son having and how healthy is it?"
