Thanks of commenting @Ticklishboy30. I'm pleased you like them because I'm enjoying writing about them.

Thanks for commenting @Daddydavek. We meet the trusted cop next chapter.
-
Thanks @Ivor Slipper. The police become involved in the next chapter.

Thanks guys. I do like to include some real local places so the story stays Australian. I'm happy you like it.

Thank you @Summerabbacat for your comments. Josh feels he is ready to tell the police, but he still has to do that before anything can happen. I don't think Vanessa would want her gossipy bridge playing "old biddies" to think of her as a cougar or old enough to have a 16 year old grandson. Well, maybe cougar

As the history of Northern Island shows, both were correct. A chilling example of why we should all oppose religious intolerance in all its forms. -
Tuesday morning Jordan and Cameron woke in their own bed and technically still on leave. Cameron leaned over and kissed Jordan, “I feel that Stingray Heads and your family house will always be special for me, but I love being here in this house with you beside me.” Jordan returned the kiss, “I love being beside you and there is something about having you beside me in our bed and in this house that tells me I want this for the rest of my life.” They snuggled together and drifted off to

An appropriate choice for St Patrick's Day. -
apocryphal - Word of the Day - Sun Mar 16, 2025

I was drawn to the fact that only three of the eight quotes above were not direct biblical references. Then my attention was drawn to "but others insist on its verity". Now I can't say that verity is a word I come across regularly, or even occasionally, and in that context, in modern usage, I would expect to see veracity used instead. Of course I went searching and discovered that verity is the translation of 'emeth, "truth," "stedfastness" (Psalms 111:7, "The works of his hands are verity and judgment," the American Standard Revised Version "truth and justice," the English Revised Version "truth and judgment"); and of aletheia, "truth," "reality," "certainty" (1 Timothy 2:7), "faith and verity," the Revised Version (British and American) "faith and truth." Verity is also related to the biblical verily. And so verily I say unto you go forth and use apocryphal today and in your posts to GA. -
@chris191070 I like the way this story is developing with rejected and homeless people being embraced and supported. Yes, it has not all been clear sailing, but the weather is starting to look clear to the horizon. Let's hope it stays that way.

"Under the palm Trees" obviously date palms.

Thanks, that worked. -

I'm interested in why some humans were refused entry onto the planet. Was it because they contained some pathogens or viruses that would be fatal for the Carkons if they ate them? Could have been useful information but it's not information the Centaurians would divulge. -

This video is geoblocked so, unfortunately we can't watch it down under. 😒😢 -
As attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson, “It's not the destination, it's the journey”. If they get each other as lovers, will it really matter if they don't even get to Key West?

Lucas has learned to be manipulative to survive. It fact it is his default survival mode and he angers quickly when it doesn't work. He is not going to resolve his anger towards his uncle, while he refuses to admit what his uncle's abuse really means to him and opens up to others. Nothing has been said about Ned's laptop. We know what Lucas did with it, but not how Ned explained its disappearance. Adolescents Ned's age are umbilically attached to their phones and laptops, and parents notice when that cord is broken. Brenda is learning the hard way that she wasn't the only one hurt in a marriage to a gay man. She now realizes that Brian was also hurt and understands that she has to be proactive in helping Neil. I am not sure but I hope Mr Collins will be a positive influence amidst all this drama.

I had the same thought. Hitchhiking used to be common in Australia, but then we had some hitchhikers being murdered, including a notorious case of a serial killer who was killing hitchhikers and burying them in a forest. He was eventually found guilty of killing seven hitchhikers. After that hitchhiking dropped off dramatically.

If anyone needs and deserves a gay friendly guardian angel, it's Alec and Rick. I hope he keeps looking after them, their relationship and a career for Alex. 🤞🤞

Addled is a synonym for one of my favourite words; discombobulated.

“Do I have to go?” “Yes, it’s important that you do.” “But railway stations seem so final. You get to watch someone board and watch the train pulling out of the station. Sometimes you even see them look out the window and wave. I feel compelled to wave back as if it will be the last time I ever see them.” “You’re being dramatic.” “At least at an airport you just give someone a hug and they disappear down that tube thing to the plane. You don’t even have to see the plane take off.” “Well, it’s a train trip so we’re saying farewell at the station.” “You know I don’t like farewells.” “This is not going to be forever.” “You say that now, but . . .” “There are no buts. I assure you it’s not going to be forever.” “You know I’ll always love you.” “Yes, and I’ll always love you.” “Promise!” “Yes, I promise.” “But why do I have to go to the station?” “Your parents need our help getting there with their luggage.” “Should we get them something to eat on the train?” “I think the Rocky Mountaineer will have enough food for their tour.” Together, they watched the train leaving the station. A single sunbeam broke through the heavy clouds and flashed over the last wagon before it vanished in the early morning mist.

Back in Feb 11 @Myr's word of the day was euphonious which obviously shares the same etymology as euphony and that musical instrument invented around 1840 and popular in brass bands, which of course is the euphonium.

This chapter is called Never Enough and so far they have both never been able to get enough background information about each other, now we can add hot, steamy, passionate and raunchy sex to what they can never get enough of. I can see them both continuing in their quest to try to get enough of both to be satisfied.

This is another case of the Latin continuing into Italian with only a little change. "Ubbedire" is Italian for "to obey" -
And here I was thinking Captain Jack was based on Captain Jack Harkness in Dr Who.
