In Australian English that type of car is referred to as a sedan. Saloon car is included in the Macquarie Dictionary but it's use now is generally confined to a particular type of motor racing. Cars with a hatchback rear are referred to simply as hatchbacks.

Most people would regard the smell of rotting flesh to be nauseous but over 20,000 people lined up to see and hopefully smell the "corpse flower" when it bloomed in the Sydney Botanic Gardens last month. It was also streamed live and viewed a million times even without the opportunity to smell it. The corpse flower also known as Bunga Bangkai or Amorphophallus titanum, has the biggest, smelliest flower spike in the world. The smell is like rotting flesh and designed to attract insects like blow flies so they can cross pollinate with other corpse flowers.

Inspector Cottontail is starting to get through to Jamie in ways other than sexual. Now we need to see what Jamie does with the advice be receives. We still need to find out what sort of "liar" Inspector Cottontail is and what he really wants from Jamie.

Quote: "Nah, I'm good staying here. You look like you could use a hug. Can I come sit next to you?" "Yeah. I think that would be nice." Jake comes over and sits next to me on my bed, lust holding me. That is one hell of a typo, or is it?

Probably the most written about use of opium in writing is Samuel Coleridge and his writing of the poem Kubla Khan. The story, as told by Coleridge, is that he composed the poem during an opium induced dream and started writing it down as soon as he woke from the dream. Before he could complete the poem he was interrupted by a visitor, "a man from Porlock". By the time the man left Coleridge had forgotten the rest of the poem and so it remains unfinished. As far as this story goes I don't mind what @empath's inspiration is (I don't think it is opium) as long as he keeps writing this magnificently involved and thoroughly engaging story. Like @Anton_Cloche and others I am content to wait for the next chapter.

Thank you @VBlew. The purchase of the property was background, but was initiated by Cameron after seeing it advertised in the Real Estate Agent's window while waiting for their take away order. He wanted to buy it because as Cameron and Jordan were leaving Stingray Heads after their first visit the vacant block was one of the things that Cameron felt was pulling him back to Stingray heads.

And I thought you were just a sensitive poet @Philippe.

Thank you @chris191070. I'm pleased you're looking forward to part 2 and I agree that Josh needs to follow Adam's advice and tell Jordan and Cameron everything.
-
Thank you @Flip-Flop, yes fate or unusual coincidence or Adam was throughout Part 1. As far as Part 2 goes, will Jordan and Adam agreeing to let go of each other end the coincidences? I'll have part 2 ready to start soon.

What happens @Ivor Slipper when the wave breaks? More in Part 2.

I love it @Summerabbacat when you let your speculative imagination off its leash, however I'm going to borrow from @chris191070 for my response:

When they approached the beach early on Saturday morning Cameron and Jordan immediately knew something different was happening. The moderate but usually sparsely occupied car park was full. Cameron was about to despair at finding a park when Joshua knocked on the driver’s window. He lowered the window. An excited Joshua pointed to a space. “That’s for you. Just drive in there.” Joshua followed the car into the parking spot and moved to open the passenger door. Jordan looked up, “What’s goin

Now if one only ate guys named herb would that be herbalism or herbicide or just having fun? -
It's encouraging to see teacher and learner so completely and enthusiastically involved in the lessons. 🎂❤️

cacophonous - Word of the Day - Fri Jan 31, 2025

Quote: Old pinball arcades were cacophonous places, especially with dozens of pinball machines going. Cacophony is something Tommy, The Pinball Wizard would have been totally unaware of. -
While we can all see a reason for Lucas' hatred of gays it is important to understand that he has grown up in a family where violence and illegal behaviour was prevalent. Lucas had a reputation as a bully and troublemaker long before any reference to Neil being gay. He knows that and is manipulative. He is using the boys in his vengeance against Neil and pretended innocence to the Principal. Turning him around will not be easy. Brian has to convince Neil not only that being gay is OK but that being a gay father is OK. Fingers crossed. 🤞

Jamie and Cottontail are compatible sexually and and other ways as well, but both have a backstory secret. Cottontail believes that things should be "mutual" and they both need to reveal their background which could either seal or destroy their relationship. Let's hope that neither will be disappointed.
-
I agree that they are initially moving fast but not with the pedal to the metal. I like that the mutual attraction is much more than just sex, although the lust level is high.

And in Doctor Who

I've come back to equine because, although I'm not Asian, I was born in the year of the horse and that seems like a good enough reason to wish everyone Happy Lunar New Year as we enter the Year of the Snake.

If a liberal application was necessary I doubt it would have been palatable anyway 🤮

What about on the picine.
