Tim has been aware of Ben's interest in "experimenting" with a guy and I think Matt senses it as well. The issue for Ben is how does he explore this urge and will he do it within this group of gay friends. Doing it within the group could be damaging to two couples; his and one other, and with the potential for a ripple effect across all their relationships. All difficult to navigate.

Again we have a word with Latin roots. We often forget how much of modern English originated from Latin, but then the Romans occupied Britain for a very long time. Back to that notorious word, "notorious". It crops up in the Medieval Latin notorius, itself from Late Latin notorium meaning "information, indictment", and formed from the Latin verb noscere, "to come to know". First recorded with it's current meaning in 1534. -
Loved this chapter. The family lovingly pulling together. Brandon may not have a farming background but I'm sure he will fit in very quickly. He has already bonded with Dusty and Rhett is taking him on a trial trail run.

There's a dedicated group of GA members whose fidelity to @Myr and Word of The Day cannot be questioned. -
At this stage we don't know if Eric is a one off or if there are others, maybe we will find out in the future. Dr Who has Time Lords, so I suppose time police are a frightening possibility, especially if they start crashing my party. 🚓

Yes @Lee Wilson the definition of incest, at least for marriage in Australia, is a lot narrower than I expected. And now switching over to the music channel . . . .🎶

What am I missing here? Apart from his possible questionably taste in music, I would have thought Jacko et al would have embraced him if he was a fellow liberal/national Party supporter.

So Ben is concerned about "guilt by association" because he has a lot of gay friends. That's not an unusual concern for a straight guy who hangs out with gay friends, especially so if he thinks he may have bi feelings. Male bonding doesn't have to involve sex. He does need to resolve his feelings towards Matt and Scott. It's interesting how thugs who gang up on gays wilt when they are outnumbered. The big problem is that they keep looking for other opportunities for their thuggery.

I agree and I could also say a person is an inveterate lover, which their partner views as very positive. Humorously I could refer to someone who has been married a few times as being an inveterate serial monogamist without being critical even if their various spouses have differing views. My point is simply that words are both denotative (dictionary meaning) and connotative (emotional response). Inveterate is predominately used with a negative connotative implication and very rarely with a positive connotative implication. -

The inscription on the ring tells us that it is January 2024. I wondered about this as well. Will the blow to his head inhibit his ability to shift. And more alarmingly could it trigger him to shift while unconscious? Uncharted territory I suspect.

My thought exactly. As in inveterate liar. It seems to carry an implication, or connotation, that the "particular habit, activity, or interest" is a vice. -
