Following the traumatic events in his university days, with the love and strong support of the man he loves, his friends, and family, Hunter has not only survived but flourished. In the opening of Fourth Down: Second Quarter, we witness Hunter and Dale, along with their children, moving forward in life, settling into a new home and a new town, surrounded by the tight-knit family of choice they’ve created. As new friends are welcomed into their circle, they come together to celebrate their reunion and the next chapter of their lives. Trouble lies ahead, though, as they face new challenges and forces intent on destroying their lives.

His whereabouts unknown, would anyone discover what had happened to him? Could he be found in time, or be left to perish?

Hmm, Mayson... must have been and probably cursing Karma as a real bitch. She should have gone fully loaded with the scumbags’ legs, not the only appendages he lost. Excellent, having Dale overhear that conversation. It’ll be interesting to see how Hunter’s friends react to that bit of news. As for Olivia, she absolutely must be history.

Of course, Marcus sold out his friend. He was far too connected to the world of magic not to get involved somehow. Oh, and that evil CFB, she was far too invested in tormenting our guys at the round table meeting with the looks, glares, challenges... Having been up all night reading Jack Poignet stories, this is by far one of the faves.

What an assortment of offerings you provide your audience. No doubt I'll enjoy whatever you present. Of course, the offer of Nazis hunted down by the „Beast of Gévaudan“… would certainly draw my attention. -

I proofread primarily for a friend who’s a writer, and it’s a challenge to catch every little typo and grammatical error to begin with. However, after editing, brainstorming, and refining plot and story details, reproofing, and editing a few more times, it’s an even more, let’s just say, entertaining venture. You tell great stories, and I especially appreciate the varied voice and cadence, perfectly unique to each offering. -
Oh, what I’d give to visit NOLA again. Great descriptions of the French Quarter. Reading this, I can hear the Jazz, smell the aromas of the local cuisine, and almost taste the pralines.

Love is... so many things. It can be confusing, complicated, frightening, frustrating, and magical too. On the road to finding love, one comes across plenty of toads searching for their prince charming. Sometimes those toads, though, turn out to be monsters in disguise. Unfortunately, for some, discovering the monster comes after a hauntingly traumatic event. At times, what follows reveals surprising feelings within relationships that previously might have been denied. Author and Max’s emotionally charged story will have readers feeling a wide array of emotions, including a bit of frustration with one character’s inability to be honest with himself.

In the touching story Something Like Home, two young Marines form a friendship that deepens into something more. Together, they survive the horrors of war, hoping to overcome the varied challenges of returning to civilian life. Looking. ahead to when the fighting ends, quiet conversations are shared on where they can go and just be. This is a well-written tale that offers a compassionate look at the emotions, concerns, and fears members of the armed forces face during service to their country and upon returning home. One would think those things would be enough, yes? Add to that being forced to hold the secret of a love shared.

The Hailsham Illuminations is an absolutely delightful story about the steadfast British police officer Luke, whose quiet existence is filled with sprinkles of chaos, compliments of his boyfriend Scott. Readers will fall in love with Scott’s friends and coconspirators and are sure to enjoy laughs at their misadventure.
