  1. There's something I'm tempted to say, but I will not say in the forum. I have my own way of saying how I am. If you want to know what I'm getting at, feel free to ask me in PM. Now, as far as outside the bedroom, I do believe in minimalization of gender roles. Inside the bedroom, well, I am not going into that here.
  2. It does not always work that way, especially in the bedroom. Yes, some may be versatile, but not always. That does create somewhat of a gender role. However roles sometimes equal out or even switch outside the bedroom. It all depends on the couple. Some also suggest that it has nothing to do at all with gender roles, but I happen to think it does at least to a certain extent. I can see the hate mail arriving any moment now.
  3. I can just imagine what would happen if the goat were to acquire an RPG. It would not be a pretty picture. Then again, a Tiger with an RPG would be just as scary.
  4. Steven, I happen to agree. I think if we all followed these ideas completely, there would not be much to write. As I said before, I have violated a few of those and probably will in the future. It is bound to happen. I vehemently disagree with the whole Phyllis thing, because I think characters need to be inherently flawed. Otherwise they become boring. Bad grammar, mechanics, and punctuation is not a good thing. I will tell anyone that it's important to have an editor and at least one beta reader. In addition, it does not to have a final edit.
  5. I happen to like those titles. Graeme, it looks like you're another good chapter namer.
  6. I agree. I would never suggest that you quit writing for a while. That is never a good thing. I try to write something everyday, even if it is just a paragraph. However, it's not a bad idea to take a breather so that one can catch up on some reading or get away for a vacation. A well-rested author is more likely to feel creative.
  7. That's an image I don't need in my head.
  8. I also think you should consider Shinedown. They have some angry songs.
  9. Tool has an awesome song called "Sober". Here are the lyrics. Theres a shadow just behind me. shrouding every step I take. Making every promise empty. pointing every finger at me. Waiting like a stalking butler, who upon the finger rests. Murder now the path of must we, just because the son has come. Jesus, won
  10. I am guilty. I did the move thing. I also created superheroes. However, they are flawed. Does that still count?
  11. I agree. That would be disastrous.
  12. I wish that were the case, but it is not. I live in the boonies, so there don't seem to be available men around here, at least none that are out in the open.
  13. You're right Gary. I intend to leave this town. I am making it one of my main goes in life right now. People will hear more about some others in the coming months.
  14. Okay, I am addicted to real-time strategy games. Basically you build an empire, and then it is time to build up the army. Soon you start attacking other empires and taking them over. I happen to love this kind of game. I can play games like that for hours. One of them happens to be Rise of Nations. That is probably my favorite. I also liked Ages of Empire II. I used to play it for hours. Empire Earth was another good one. I think that one has the best ships. There are others. Ensemble studios is working on Halo Wars, a real-time strategy game based on the Halo Series. I am definitely looking forward to playing that one for hours.
  15. I think the goat is not the only one who likes explosions. All this talk about bombs is worrisome. I think you all want violence and destruction, not that I've ever desired such a thing.
  16. I may have been over exaggerating a little bit.
  17. Neither do tigers. Jan, I wouldn't put it past him doing something so evil. He does seem to relish explosions.
  18. Well, it's similar here in Kansas. It's easy to get away with in college towns, but people in this town would probably kill me (and I mean literally) if I kissed a guy in public. I simply must get out of this closed-minded area.
  19. I feel the same way Gary does about being unique. I also like being more cultured than the average guy. Most straight guys my age have never heard of Frederick Chopin.
  20. Graeme, you pretty well summed it up. Burn out is the death knell to a story. I do not know everything about it, but I seem to remember a certain author who may be burned out. At that point, creativity is low or maybe even non-existent. Couple that with CJ's work, everything else he does here, and his personal life, there is only so much he can write. That goes for all authors really. If I get into a rush about writing, I simply cannot write. Write for your own enjoyment. Your fans will appreciate it.
  21. I bet you sound cute when you talk like that. Anyway, I will echo Kev's sentiments about safety. Don't be a fool; wrap your tool.
  22. That's way too little RAM. Anyway, times have changed. I wonder when RAM will be measured in terabytes.
  23. That's the best advice. Otherwise, the damn criminals can take you to court over the issue. As we found out in 41, killing in self-defense can still get you into deep s**t, because it has to be proven. It's not always east to prove either.
  24. I'm thinking Guns 'n Roses, Godsmack, Korn, Megadeth, Papa Roach, Rob Zombie, Saliva, and Sevendust.
