More activity is a double-edged sword. The Soapbox is a place where you're more likely to get negged. I seem to ping pong around in the twenties. I guess a tiger can't be loved by all.

No, what would happen would be much worse than that. Most, or all, of humanity would die. If it happened suddenly, or even over a few years, an ocean would form that would swallow up Europe, Asia, and North America. Latitudes toward the equator would become unlivable, because there would be little oxygen. A new continent would form between North America and Asia. Day and night would start out lasting several days and once the planet stopped completely spinning, a day would be a year. Much of the remaining land areas would become dry as air currents (wind) would become nonexistent. It's not a good scenario at all.

There's this show on National Geographic called Aftermath. They've had one called Population Zero and one about oil all drying up. Now there's one about the rotation of the planet stopping called When the Earth stops spinning. This one seems the saddest of all.

I happen to feel a certain level of freedom in writing fantasy. My current story is a sci-fi/fantasy series about magic. It's fun, because I've given the characters a magical system that includes "gifts" as well as three different types of spells. Plus, there is advanced technology that involves magic, which makes it that much better. I have to be careful though. I have to keep notes about certain things to keep it all straight. The rules one creates create some limits, but I figure that you can give yourself plenty of room.

I have read the entire series, but it has been quite a while. I have to write things down to remember things about my own stories. Keeping track of everyone else's is quite difficult, especially the small details.

I am more into what's going on in the 1940's part of the chapter. Poor Steven. In his heart of hearts, he doesn't want to go to war. I think in the 1960's a lot of the ones who felt that way were just a lot more outspoken while it was unthinkable to share such sentiments in the 1940's. So much can change in a generation. It makes me sad, because we know that Steven and Aaron both die, possibly together. My guess is that the end of his journal will be finished by Tonto, and she'll fill in the gaps.

I only drink tequila in frozen margaritas. I think I'd react too much to drinking it straight. Therefore, I abstain from drinking straight tequila. Okay, I am so itching for a new chapter...

So I'll get to the point. Dead baby jokes are the only ones arguably even more controversial than racist ones. So I decided to start this poll. Personally, I don't think they go too far. I love babies and am sad whenever one dies, but I also have a sick and twisted side. I will not post any dead baby jokes or links to them, so if you really want to read some, use a search engine.

Not everyone is quite so cynical, James. I say anyone who wants to wait for someone special should. What's right for one person is hardly ever right for someone else. Just be yourself and don't worry what anyone else does.

What an exciting chapter 19 turned out to be. I was so glad that Granger was able to help John Travers the way he did. What he went through was one of the worst things that can happen. It's difficult to get past it. Granger is an amazing person all the way around. Now, where is Mr. Calvert? I think it's time for George to spend some time with him!

Actually it's Cabo San Lucas. And yes, Mark takes us everywhere. He's wonderful. I'm surprised there hasn't been a vacation to Amsterdam though. I'd think that the crew would love it there.

That's true. He may very well have had something to hide. But he was actually most known for being opposed to the aristocracy. I can honestly say that I would probably feel the same way. He wanted everyone to be on equal footing in the military.

I think it would be nice for GA to have a lesbian section or a site partially or totally devoted to lesbians. Lesbians are part of the gay community as well, and I'm sure there are some talented authors who could write lesbian fiction. Some are already here at GA who could.
