Joey is a nice person, and to be fair, he chose to post in the Evolution topic, which was in the Soapbox. Also, his position, at least on this website, is definitely the minority view. But there is a warning in the Soapbox.
Well, I think this thread is in need of revival. Did anyone see the season finale? I was like holy shit. Anyway, I have a thought or two about the language. While there are some historical inaccuracies in Spartacus: Blood and Sand, there is no indication whatsoever that the portrayal of people talking in such a manner is inaccurate. Times have changed a great deal since then. We forget that the show is set in the first century BCE, which means it was long before the Roman Empire adopted Christianity. Moreover, the Roman Empire changed a great deal when Christianity became the state religion. Cursing was not exactly frowned upon before then.
It's understandable to want to fight the Japanese, but he is too headstrong. And of course, I think there's more too it. He wants to fight the Japs no doubt, but he also wants not to get any closer to Steven than he already is. As far as Steven deserving better, that may be. However, things may have turned out differently if they had survived the war.
Wow, Chapter 12 just pisses me off. Aaron is so hellbent on leaving. More than anything it seems that he's running away from who he is. It's so sad, because that means that it's over for them.
She's not for eye candy. I like her music and her style.
He's a little old for my taste, but he's still doable.
As for the black cat, I like it. I'll give it an 8.5.
Why thank you, but I'm afraid my avatar has changed a bit. I do still like the cat, but since I liked your explanation, I'll give your cat a 9. Your cat is adorable.
I win! It looks like we'll see the dragon become a human in the final chapter. By the way Carl, I'm really liking the fairy tales. I especially love that they're on the sick and twisted side. I personally loved this part of Chapter 5:
I am definitely looking forward to it! They're awesome parents.
Oh, and I think we should get back to the original intent of this topic. I have read Crosscurrents recently, and it's definitely a good story to read! I recommend it to anyone.
Hell yes, it counts! *sigh* Patrick Swayze was such a great actor and such a hottie. I don't know if Roadhouse is old enough to count, but that is my favorite Patrick Swayze movie and could easily be #6 or #7 overall. There's plenty of action and violence. Oh, and of course there's a scene where you can see Patrick Swayze's sweet ass back when he was younger.
You're right about that! He's also has a certain way with people, not too dissimilar to that of Stefan, and it's obvious that he looks up to Stefan a great deal. And of course, he has an awesome sense of adventure. He's a fun character! I think everybody loves him.
I love Lady Gaga. I don't know why either. Normally I'm not even into dance music, but I'm falling in love with Lady Gaga. I'd go straight for her.

This one probably won't embed anyway, so I'll just post a link to it. It's the
. It features Beyonce. It's also a bit naughty.
