And if you haven't read either of these... for me, one story that is at the same level as Dom's writing is Human Condition by Jayne Finn at Archerland. You might also enjoy Laika by EleCivil on Awesomedude. In this extended Domluka drought, I broke down and ordered 4 gay fiction books from Amazon. I thought to myself 'well, if they're published, they must be good or better than Dom's writing'. Boy was I wrong . I bought Best Gay Erotica 2008, Best Gay Romance 2008 and found a few good stories, but nothing awesome (at least in my mind). So that was a $41.00 lesson learned. Unfortunately, Dom's been on hiatus from GA for at least 6 months. He could be logging in as a guest, but I doubt it. I recall that Dom wasn't interested in having his work published, but I don't think he ever let his feelings be known about a screenplay. I voted no and I thought Kevin did a fabulous job articulating a lot of good points. I don't think that anyone should care so much about what some uninformed person who judges or conclude that all GLBT folks are as what they see at Pride parade. To be honest, if a Gay Pride parade accurately reflected the makeup of the GLBT community, the straights should be really scared because they'd see that we were as diverse (and plain) as they are. There'd be boring middle age guys wearing tan dockers and light blue polo shirts and pocket protectors. As a side, one thing that friends and I have noticed about Gay Pride parades in the big cities with large gay populations... They've become extremely corporate with lots of large companies trying to market to gays to get all that gay money. Some have even said they're getting down right boring :wacko: .

If Dom isn't checking the forum, than he won't know that there is pressure for him to return. There could be a 1000 hosted authors on GA, but speaking for myself, it doesn't make me miss Dom and his writing any less. Have you also considered that Dom might be the type of person who relishes in the adoration that many of us so freely want to give? Dom could be anonymously monitoring the forums and thinking 'hmmm, it appears that no one really misses me.' Maybe this thread that Kevin started might inspire Dom to return sooner rather than later.

*sigh*, I'm still here too, always hopeful that this will be the day that Dom will return. Better yet, that this will be the day that ITFB Ch 21 comes out. Unfortunately, too many of those days have passed. The fruit punch taste has long since left Travis' lips, I'm not even sure Dom's in the top 10 of GA's site list , and the yahoo group is pretty quiet too. Well, I still have hope that Dom will return. Heck, it's almost the 1 year anniversary of his last chapter posting.... One Ari-fri-kin-year, can you believe it? Anywho, if he does return...I'll welcome him with open arms (on my knees too if that would help ). Let's just hope that the Hiatus has done him well.

Price seems to be the only reason I'm considering the Ranger. The style being so 'dated' is what's really holding me back. It just doesn't have a lot of wow factor. I'm leaning towards new just because I don't want to deal with a used car. But maybe I should just to save $$$ I like the colorado, and I'd get my mom's employee discount if I buy the Chevy or the GMC canyon. Right now, there aren't any rebates on either...which is holding me back. I like the tacoma too, but it and the Nissan Frontier both require premium gas. Premium gas for a truck? I think I'm going to butch it up a little and buy a pickup truck as a 2nd vehicle. I've had one too many trips to Home Depot where I got dirt in my car. Or most recently, I had to have friends drive me in their truck(s) to drop off & pickup my lawnmower from a repair store. I don't need one of those monster Ford F150s, Nissan Titans, Toyota Tundra, Chevy Silverado things. I'd probably have to turn in my gay card if I got one of those . I'm thinking more mid-range, extended cab, 2 wheel drive, automatic. I won't be 4 wheeling it anywhere, I just need something I can haul stuff in. I want the extended cab & not the Crew Cab so that in a pinch I can squeeze a few people in back. I was considering one of the following: - Nissan Frontier - Ford Ranger - Chevy Colorado - Toyota Tacoma If anyone has any experience or advice, I'd appreciate it. Take Care, Vic

I don't think it's wrong to be racially specific in whom you are attracted to. You can't help what you are and aren't attracted to. Some people like hairy, others smooth...tall others short, boy next doorblond hair/blue eyes others nerdy/pale/thin as a stick. Race is just another factor for some people. Personally, I'm only attracted to white guys (and the nerdy/pale/thin variety make my toes curl ) . I'm asian, and I've always only been attracted to white guys. I prefer the moniker Dairy Queen over potato
