"Then ask your sister if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars, and then, ask your brother if he'd sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars." "Come back and tell me what you learn from that." So the boy went to his mother and asked, "Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars?" The mother replied, "Of course I would! We could really use that money to fix up the house and send you kids to a great University!" The boy then went to his sister and asked, "Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars?" The girl replied, "Oh my God! I LOVE Brad Pitt I would sleep with him in a heartbeat, are you nuts?!?!?!" The boy pondered the answers for a few days, then went back to his dad. His father asked him, "Did you find out the difference between potentially and realistically?" The boy replied, "Yes... potentially, you and I are sitting on three million dollars . . . but realistically, . . . we're living with two sluts and a queer"

Hey Joe, I'm not very good at giving advice either, but it sure doesn't stop me from trying . Joe, it sounds like you are rushing things. Are you waiting for him to ask you to marry him? Or are you just waiting for him to ask you to go hang out or go on a date? He could be shy and just waiting for you to make the first move. If you want to hang out with him, ASK HIM OUT. You're not making a huge committment here. It's 'just a date'. And you aren't really putting yourself out on the line here. He could say no, and you could both move on. Or you may go on a date and decide he's a jerk. 'He loves me, He loves me not' ?? He doesn't know you well enough (yet) to love you. Nor you him. You may be hot for him and have a crush on him, but you won't know it's love until after you spend more time with him. So suck up some courage and ask him out on a date. Just you and him. Mix a little bit of public and private. Maybe in the private time he'll tell you how he feels about you. Xander's owner, dkstories has given some great advice about coming out...I'll see if I can find it and forward it to you. But in essence, only come out when YOU are ready. You aren't 18 and if your mom has a bad reaction, you might be out on the street. And while you say Justin will take you in, since he doesn't even know that you are gay, he (or his folks) might have second thoughts about that. And keep in mind, not everyone is as accepting of the 'gay lifestyle' as we all are on GA. You know Justin best...Let him know when you are ready (which includes being ready for possible negative consequences), don't let anyone here sway you into coming out if you aren't ready. Or if you don't have a 'plan B' if people don't take it well. It sounds like there are other reasons you are angry with your mom, if you need to give her a reason, you can tell her about how it makes you feel when she hits you or when she yells at you for not putting away the bread, leaving the lights on, etc. Just another opinion.
