    Chapter 46

October 26, 2000 Malibu, CA Will I stood in front of JJ’s closed bedroom door and paused before knocking, wondering if he was in there beating off. I chuckled at that. He was so uptight about this competition in Norway, he probably couldn’t even get it up. I knocked anyway, and he told me to come in, so he obviously wasn’t playing with himself. “What?” he asked rudely. I blew off his attitude. “Dude, guess what?” He said nothing, but just glared at me. “I get to go wi
  2. I like it when guys have them in the small of their backs.
  3. I have not been idle on my vacation, and I've actually written a few chapters. I'll try to get back on track with posting soon.

    Chapter 45

I'm glad you're excited about the "Will" chapters. :-)

    Chapter 45

Thanks! I'm enjoying some relaxing time!
  6. Well, the good news about the review system being messed up is that you posted in this forum, and since this was your first post, that means I got your posting cherry. Thanks for your comments. To be honest, I haven't made a decision yet on Jeff Danfield's election results. It certainly makes for some interesting plot potential either way!

    Chapter 45

Thanks Kevin! I'm enjoying myself, but checking in here. It's not like I've gone off and completely forgotten about these stories, but I needed to pace myself.

    Chapter 45

I'm assuming that you loved the chapter so much, it left you speechless. :-) Seriously, this part of the system is a little sucky, in that editing isn't allowed.

Money can't buy you love. Or happiness. Be a Beatle. :-:

    Chapter 45

Couple of things: It's strange how such good people can come from such crappy families/parents. Wade seems to have gotten most of the good family traits, while Mary Ellen is her mother's daughter. 2. The next couple of chapters after this are "Will" chapters, so you'll have to hold off for a while to see Wade resolve more of this.

    That would be pretty despicable

    Chapter 45

I don't think that even if he retired, Elizabeth would change. I think she'd just find new ways to access power. Besides, I wonder how much influence she has even beyond her husband? I'll bet it's quite a bit.
  13. Yes, but remember that her trust may be worth a lot, but that's meaningless if she can't get to the money. That's what Elizabeth is doing...doling it out to her piecemeal in exchange for her cooperation.
  14. Well, that time is over. Now I'm in Phoenix, where it's scheduled to get up to 112 next week, but it's only 103 today.

    Chapter 45

October 24, 2000 Charlottesville, VA Wade I’d gotten myself situated in my hotel room and I kicked back in my bed. I lay there and wondered what my sister would do, if she would make this an election issue. Right now, it looked as if her situation had been good for my father, giving him a nice jump in the polls. Nothing like a little bit of sympathy to garner a few votes. But if this whole deal in Idaho was laid out in the press, it is likely that those numbers would change dram
  16. This one reminds me of Wade, in some ways.
  17. Dear OldBob, I'm sorry to be late with this! I hope you had an enjoyable birthday. Your presence here has been a great inspiration to me, and I am so glad you are active in our community.
  18. I love this song. I'm looking for the beach in this video. If I wanted to hang out with animals, I'd go lurk in the Soap Box. Right now I'm typing this while gazing out the window from time to time at San Diego bay. Yet another naval vessel just sailed by. Seems the fleet's in town. If only I were 25 years younger.
  19. Going for a minute, I think that George III was more deserving of our sympathy than antipathy. His "madness" must have been incredibly painful, and in an age where there wasn't much that could be done about it, I'm pretty impressed that he rebounded like he did. That being said, he's probably the monarch I'd least like to spend time with. A boring family man who was a notorious tightwad, I can't imagine that a party he threw would have been much fun. I equate it with going to a Mormon social. If they would have had Rice Krispie Treats back then, I'm convinced he would have served them. Now for a fun time, I'll take a Stuart monarch any day of the week. I'm thinking that Charles II would have been the most fun, and he was rumored to be hung like a horse. Hey. It's my job to know these things.
  20. I generally do prefer longer.
  21. I'm so much hotter than she is!
  22. I just wanted to give you all a head's up that posting will probably slow dramatically for a bit. It's summer (in case you didn't know that), and I'm on an extended vacation with my family, so I'm not sure how much time I'll have to write. Sometimes these trips fuel my motivation and I swamp my staff, while other times, I just enjoy the time off. I'm feeling more like the latter this time around, so I wanted to give you some warning.
  23. I have to correct your formula here. You have to add in the religious nut views, because they're the repressed closet cases that the beer really sets free. Thank you. You said this so well. Still, I'm a little surprised at how well you understand the mind of a bitchy teen princess.

    Chapter 44

I'm glad you liked it. Mary Ellen is truly a bitch from hell.
