    Chapter 50

November 1, 2000 Hamar, Norway Will I got back to the condo and headed straight to my room. It was really cool, because it had a big window that opened up at street level, so if I wanted to sneak out with no one seeing me that was an option. I noticed that Jeff had brought all of my stuff over and unpacked it for me, even to the point of organizing my toiletries. I went out to the kitchen and Jeff was there, snacking on some Doritos. “Dude, thanks for moving all my stuff o
  2. 50 years ago today, Telstar, the first telecommunications satellite, was launched The Tornados ( the lead singer was gay) wrote a song about it:
  3. Happy Birthday Big Guy! Can I post those shirtless pics of you to celebrate?
  4. I really enjoyed reading this interview. Andy's an awesome writer, so what a treat it was for him to let us inside his mind (the relatively clean part) and see how he thinks. These sentences fascinated me: I contrasted that to how I usually visualize a story, and for me, I usually see an interaction, a dialog of sorts between two characters. It's great to see how other authors get their inspirations!
  5. Here's a chance for you guys to decide the direction of this storyline. Take a second and vote to tell me whether Senator Danfield should be re-elected (vote "yes") or not (vote "no"). This one ends real fast, so vote now! Note: This is NOT a public poll, so no one can see your vote.

    Chapter 12

In CAP, Wade is usually portrayed as being similar to JP, which he is, but I think that in reality, Wade and George are much more alike.

    Chapter 12

"it would be just too ironic and potentially explosive if he were the pick to replace Bertie!" And I'd never do that. ;-)

    Chapter 12

Your confidence is well-placed. It wouldn't be interesting if we just sailed away from England without laying all the groundwork.

    Chapter 12

Well, George does usually wander out of things alright, but he's definitely had his challenges.

    Chapter 12

I'm glad you enjoyed it. No connection with Tobias and Winchelsea. Maidstone is a hard-core, wealthy merchant...a businessman. Think: Rupert Murdoch.

    Chapter 48

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! JP's not supposed to be really likable in this story, because he's a very stunted person (emotionally). He gets better as the stories unfold.

    Chapter 15

I'm glad you liked it. This is a pretty raw story, but it sets the stage for JP to ultimately address his demons.
  13. I can definitely see Will getting jaded and cynical.
  14. My hair was never that long. Back then, I was a Republican. Good call.
  15. I'm doubtful about that. Besides, it would be much better for Granger to get back and tour it when it's all finished.
  16. I think you have a 'kid in a candy store' thing going on here. Only it's a hormonal gay kid, surrounded by a bunch of guys who are really fit and a lot of whom are also gay.

    Chapter 12

May 21, 1797 The carriage containing the four men pulled up to the dock and Dr. Jackson looked out at Bacchante, and then looked at Granger with fear in his eyes. “My lord, won’t they come looking for me here?” “It matters not whether they look for you here or not, you will not be released into their custody,” Granger asserted. Granger sensed that Jackson didn’t quite believe him, but he also didn’t want to seem ungrateful by challenging Gra
  18. I think that the attributes you're looking for (the willingness of young men to foresake meaningless sex in exchange for meaningful sex) comes with maturity, influenced by the relative force of hormones. Even then, I think it's a matter of relative choices. Does the guy prefer mediocre sex to no sex? I'm willing to hypothesize that the majority of guys go through a slut phase, where they make the decision that any sex is good.
  19. I think you meant to say 'not' have sex with everyone. Because he is having sex with everyone because he can. Actually, I think Will told Jeff (and us) where he was at. He spent all summer chasing after love, and now he's in a mode to figure out the mechanics. He just wants to get laid.
  20. Nope. Hurricanes blow east to west. Pirates would need to travel west to east.

Did Jeremy pay you to post that? LOL. Maybe things will be nice and smooth. :-)

    Chapter 49

Well, this is Will's time, with the Norway thing.

    Chapter 49

Perhaps you will notice that now that Will has resolved his issues and is a FWB, he refers to him as Jeff, not Hot Jeff. ;-)

    Chapter 49

Everybody needs a Stefan or Armand to break them in. :-)

    Chapter 49

I'm not buying that argument about Weir and Lysacek. There are too many variables to make that conclusion, IMHO
