Not now, but in the past yes. There are many things i would like to change, but why should a person change to fit in the world rather than the world be changed to fit the person.

Sony needs to push out a next gen system that is affordable, innovative, and adaptive to 3D environments. The PS3 is still a powerful workhorse today as it was years ago when it came out. The multiple processors were overkill to be honest, especially since GPU, not CPU became the dominant area of gaming system needs. I love my PS3, but I'd love a PS4 more if it were graphically even better, cheaper in costs, and is not only backwards compatible, but can enhance PS3 games with new rendering systems and controls. Imagine Assassin's Creed 3 played using an up-scaled PS4 enhancement and new controller towards the already fun game. (Tell me you don't want the ability to engage in hand to hand combat with your Playstation)

Today we have a papal resignation, unprecedented in recent history for Catholicism. Now North Korea has also tested a nuclear weapon according to the readings of seismic activity. However, this is not 2012, when stuff like this would have had people selling their possessions and making peace with God. Were the Mayans wrong with their math? Probably not, but people still want to believe in an end to their existence. Look, I do believe that the world and mankind will end one day; hopefully "engulfed in fire, but not in darkness" to borrow a phrase from Babylon 5. It is inevitable that our sun will explode, it is inevitable that mankind as a species will die out, and it is inevitable that we must all end eventually. I think what people seek in life is meaning, we're all following Socrates examinations on a life of meaning in one degree or another. Sometimes, "the end" is meaning in on itself for people, which I agree with on a certain level. However, you do not need to consume yourself with merely one "end". Now let me allude to writing a story and writing endings to draw a parallel, some writers conclude a story needs an ending, so they can move on. That's an acceptable concept on a personal level, since we wish to cease areality that we have explored fully in ourselves. However, the end for the reader is not the same as the writer's "the end" for the story. Readers still dream of adventures that the characters may still have, imagine themselves in the story, and even create their own "endings". In my belief, an end is not merely a "final" curtain call, it is the bridge to other thoughts and continuation beyond what you already have. Just a thought about reality and endings

Well, I ended just cooking a few dishes: Boiled Soy Chicken: 7-8lbs Whole Chicken salt 2 Scallions Water (until it covers the chicken in the pot) Boil water Add salt and scallions Add chicken Slow cook it over medium heat on a gas stove *(In Boston, you have either gas or electric, while many people lose power, it's harder to lose gas ) After several hours of slow cooking, you will have a nice chicken broth for soup and a cooked chicken Place it on a large platter, then add soy sauce Easy right Next dish: Rice noodles, snow peas, bean sprouts, and tofu stir fried over a wok Stir frying is easy, but the rice noodles need special handling. Place the rice noddles into a bowl of ice water first to give it a nice and firm consistency Let it sit for 10 minutes, then, empty the water from the bowl and you can start stir frying with the ingredients and some standard corn oil Should take about 15-20 minutes over medium heat, add salt and sugar in the cooking process plus any other spices (I prefer Cilantro personally ) Really simple Last is a simple winter mellon soup: Boil the chicken broth and add several pork and beef spareribs Let the combination mix and then add your sliced winter mellon Cooking the soup should take about 45 minutes Cooking time if done right is around 1 hour. over 4 stoves

Change of plans, Chinese new years has to be cooked at home entirely due to Nemo, the little Blizzard that swam its way to our hearts Since my relatives can't come to Boston, it will be a smaller affair of just my immediate family. I am thinking of trying something new and maybe even structuring the feasts into smaller dishes instead of the massive family style affair Chinese families are known for. Chinese New Year's feast are usually extremely large and we will have several weeks of left overs even after the 14 day celebration and feasting is over. The Saturday, Chinese New Years' eve, we would have a closing year feast to end on a good note and attempt to create massive excess as a sign of prosperity for the future. On the 1st of Chinese New Years, we're supposed to eat vegetarian (bean sprouts, rice noodles, and peas stir fried in vegetable oil). That's Sunday morning. Any ideas?

Websites and Internet: Examples of Moral establishment
W_L posted a blog entry in Life is worth an entry
It just hit me like a ton of bricks, the internet itself is a moral standard. Think of it this way, each website has their own code of conduct and terms/use provisions. In essence, it is almost like a a religion setting out their commandments and tenets. People follow the rules in fear of divine retribution through God/Gods or in this case Mod/Mods/Admins of websites and forum. However, what if people start testing the limits of the rules? What if there is no divine retribution or plagues set against you? At first you will only have a few outliers, a few people that are placed in the anti-social category or the "strange" kids table among the population, who are shunned. Then, as time goes by, the rules grow older and the rule adherents start to be more lax. Two decades ago, if asked, whether killing an innocent person in order to stop terrorism was right? Most people would say no as they'd view it as overkill and immoral in the traditional sense. However, as a society we have moved beyond those rules over time, testing the limits until today, when most people agree there are times that the "good of the many must outweigh the good of the few or one". Similarly, I have a theory that websites and forums are also undergoing similar process of evolution and devolution in their rules and limits. As they age, the original members and new adherents grow lax, then they test the system. The phenomenon of internet trolls are a reflection of this testing of weaknesses in the guise of LOLs. As their behavior becomes justified and mundane, others attempt to try more extreme ways of testing until you reach the point where the rules can no longer be used to hold users to a standard. Personally, I don't believe in moral standards, because I believe that in either religious or technological example of moral standards, the divine or administrative power must be in direct control at all times enforcing their rules. Without eternal vigilance by either, moral standards are merely untested assumptions. Here's an interesting idea to consider about the nature of perfection in reality: Judeo-Christians would tend to hold to the value that things are done for a purpose due to an underlying principle of perfection (God or God's plan). However, if the internet and its "God/Gods" can be used as examples, what if the underlying perfection doesn't exist. Instead, you have the model scenario that everything "should" be perfect if all things were equal. While site creators have a dream and master plan for themselves and their creations, their users have different one and see the creation in a different light than the creator. In the end, due to lack of shared perception between the creator and user/creation, the end result is imperfection. Just some musings over the nature of the internet with a bit of theological idea over "perfection" and "imperfection". -
What would be a good dish to serve as an small plate or tapas to family coming over to celebrate Chinese New Year? I'm thinking finger foods and non-Asian cuisine as we would all be sick of it due to the continuous feasts and things that lead up to Chinese New Years. Any thoughts?

I loved the 1st one, the 2nd was decent, so I am not sure about the third. The previews don't seem that spooky or "Alien"-esque. They're turning into the bioshock franchise, decent, but loses itself over time.

Yum, we have chicken and pork, now all we need is a good Dessert: Poor Man's strawberry cheesecake 1 8oz container of Cream Cheese (depends on how much and big your serving) 2 tbs Sugar 1 can of Evaporated sweetened milk 1 cup graham crackers 1 Jello brand Vanilla Pudding mix Sliced Strawberries 2 cups Hot water Mix the sugar, evaporated milk, and hot water in a bowl Add in the cream cheese in and whisk Add putting mix in and whisk it thoroughly until it gets to the right soft consistency. Add in Strawberries Line the bottom of your dish with graham cracker crumbs, then add the mixture on top Leave in fridge overnight and you have your dessert. ______________________ A lot of people knows how to make this cheesecake, but we all have our own touches to it

"If you had a fight between Superman and the Hulk...." Been down the road of arguing better or worse, each has their own interesting mystique. (In comparison, I prefer the hulk over Superman in terms of comic book storylines, especially after the last arc as Bruce Banner and Betsy Ross get back together ) Marvel has in most parts better general characters, but the bad guy of the week gets in the way of telling good character stories. I like Batman, because of the DC animated series (90's version), not just the comic books. You actually get to learn how depressed and dark Batman can be in the cartoon, plus his rogues are multi dimensional and you can feel for their angst like Mr. Freeze was just out to save his wife, but he was thwarted and went on a path of revenge. A good villain, other than a Heath Ledger Joker sociopath, needs to be well rounded and motivated. If you the viewer or reader starts rooting for the villain, then the writer has succeeded in drawing out a good character.

I just got an idea last night about a story set in Hollywood California about a special agency that works for the big studios. Sounds simple and easy enough, but here's the twist, they aren't the standard movie star agents, deal breakers, or Entourage-like groups that make people smile. These people are there to dig dirty secrets of the stars or even create them. They would be the one's behind the curtain, filming sex tapes, getting movie stars into compromising situations, arranging drug deals to hook up famous stars with cocaine, and even murder if the studio needs certain secrets hidden for image like taking out a male prostitute for a closet case gay actor. They're not the mob or anything like that, just a group of people doing some extremely amoral activities in the name of fame, fortune, and power. It would be a fan faction story gone wild with extreme stories, like giving Heath ledger a "hot dose", because he was about to reveal some secrets or filming a secret tape of Channing Tatum under the influence of ecstasy to keep them under the thumb of his agent. After thinking about it though, it seems outlandish at second glance like poorly written porn.

Okay, let's pair up here: Whoever wants a gay boyfriend, who enjoys cooking, instead of microwaved lean cuisine, please raise your hands? Outside of just cooking, you also learn a lot about taste and alcohol as your cooking. By the way, can someone tell if it matters if the bottle of wine is placed outside at room temperature of 60 F degrees, when used for cooking? I don't have a wine cellar or anything fancy like that, just a covered chest in the basement storage room.

Too bad your a west coaster or else I'd invite you over for dinner or snacks: Today, I made some homemade Pizza Bites using crescent rolls, sausage, mozzarella, peppercorn, and marinara sauce. Basically, just cook the filling as your would spaghetti sauce, plus add extra onions, basil, and peppercorn to give it that extra zing. Then, take out your can of crescent rolls. Fill them up with your sauce/sausage mix with mozzarella cheese, then bake at 350 until toasty. Perfect little meal and great for appetizers.

Yup, the SF QB personal touchdown was cool and I personally thought there was holding when they were throwing the ball, but the ravens were smarter and fought using the clock plus field position with the touchback decision. SF played a good physical game, but Baltimore played a better technical game.

Amazing, the game is on 21-3 in Ravens favor. Wow!

Not every gay guy knows how cook, but I do love it. I wanted to try out a new thread for foodies and guys/girls that like cooking. We can share ideas, experiments, and experiences with different foods. Let me share an odd idea I tried out last week concerning oatmeal and k-cups. There's a special k-cup flavored coffee with cream that is extremely milky and sweet. I had the idea of trying to mix a standard package of oatmeal with brown sugar. The end result was a really weird and watered down version of regular oatmeal. Not my most successful experiment, but it was edible. Now for a success story: I was tired of having traditional Italian herbs in my meatballs for spaghetti, so I mixed in Indian Masala and red curry when I was rolling the ground meat into balls. The Indian spice worked really well with the regular tomato sauce and added an extra layer of flavor. I usually add peppercorn to my red sauce and extra onion/garlic. I highly recommend trying that out for the next time you make meatballs.

Sometimes, I think Democrats overreact too quickly before they consider everyone else. Republicans fall into the same on a national level as well. http://www.wbur.org/2013/02/02/democrats-3 The humor was that Democrats were preparing for Scott Brown to run again for Senate, because he had the best chances of winning. Everything was set to take down the Republican front man, but Scott Brown hadn't even decided to enter the fight again. I applaud Scott Brown for not entering politics of Washington again. The nation is in chaos, the politicians of the right and left plot more than govern, and we no longer have direction. In this type of landscape, the Kennedy testament to public service "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" is no longer possible. It is better that people with noble and honorable intent leave politics and seek out their fellow Americans themselves to find true consensus beyond the palace intrigues on subjects of Abortion, Gun Control, and Immigration that might stir crowds, but hold no value for people's imminent needs. I don't care if you seek expansion of worker education programs on the left or reduction of entitlement benefits on the right, because at least you are thinking of your fellow Americans just based on your views. Nowadays, politicians plot to keep power rather than help anyone else outside their parties.

Well, American media culture really didn't move over to Europe that quickly until the 00's to be honest. Thank you internet! In terms of cartoons, here's my top 3 from the 90's: Number 1 has to be batman Number 2 Dragon Ball z Number 3 Beast Wars, my generations version of transformers in 3D
